I was referred to Mr. Corbett by a couple of my close friends. I can tell you I was not disappointed! He was great and I could not recommend him more! Let me start by saying Jesus met me on the day I was to accept a DWI plea. My attorney I hired couldn’t make it so Jesus met me there. Upon reading the conditions my attorney negotiated Jesus advised me that if I was his client he wouldn’t feel comfortable allowing me to sign it. He then negotiated with the prosecutor and got me a much better deal. Saved me $5,000 in fines and a lesser charge. He did all of this without billing me a dollar. I am so grateful and would recommend him to anyone who is facing criminal charges in Dallas.

After seeing all the great reviews online for Mr. Woolley, I decided to call him regarding the possible need for probate for my mother's recent passing. I had to leave a voice message and he returned my call very quickly. He was very pleasant and asked me to explain my situation and describe my mother's estate. He was extremely helpful and based on the information I had given he did not feel there was a need for probate. There was one question I had regarding the filing of future taxes with the IRS, and not having a definitive answer, he referred me to his own CPA. I felt very comfortable talking with Mr. Woolley and if I ever need an attorney to handle future issues regarding probate, I will certainly use his services.

In 1981 at the age of 13, I arrived in the US as a refugee and received my green card shortly thereafter. In my youth, I committed multiple offenses, one of which was serious enough to be considered an "aggravated felony" for immigration purposes. However, despite of my record, I still wanted to become a citizen so that I could travel internationally without having to worry if I would clear immigration and customs upon returning. I also knew that my case would be complex and that I needed a good and experienced attorney to help me. My search started in 2010 (by this time I have been living as a green card holder for almost 30 years). I contacted multiple highly rated immigration attorneys listed on avvo.com and felt the most comfortable and confident with Mr. Chavez.
The process began with the office conducting a comprehensive review of my background and obtaining certified copies of court records. The work was impressive as they did not miss anything, and I know for certain that I could have never done this myself.
After carefully reviewing my record, Mr. Chavez recommended that, for now, I should not apply for citizenship because the risk was too high that USCIS could start removal proceeding against me. His strategy was for me to continue to follow the law, volunteer my time, and wait until the law is more favorable to my case before applying. I was devastated with this news because to me it meant to forget about ever becoming a citizen and this was the end of the road.
However, I didn't give up and neither did Mr. Chavez. I set a reminder and send an email to Mr. Chavez every few months just to check if there are any changes to the law that would benefit me. Then six years later (2016), Mr. Chavez and Caitlin Twyman contacted me to let me know that there is a pending case with the Supreme Court that could help (or hurt) me, depending on the decision. (The case is Mathis v. United States: http://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/mathis-v-united-states/). After determining that Mathis v. United States helps my situation, Mr. Chavez recommended that I apply.
With renewed confidence (on my part), and with the help of the office, we submitted my N-400 application in December 2016. On 03/22/2018, I had my interview with USCIS. During the interview, I was accompanied by Mr. Mark Lee (one of the excellent attorneys at the office). After the interview, the Officer stated that because my case was complicated, he needed more time to review (this usually means a long delay). However, Mr. Lee requested that the Officer review my while we were there so that we could answer any questions he may have. To my surprise, the Officer agreed and after reviewing my file, he verbally told us that he would recommend "approval" for my application. However, his decision was not final and pending a review/approval by his supervisor (this meant that it could be denied even though he wanted to approve). I believed what Mr. Lee did expedited the process by at least a few months and greatly helped my case. Then on 03/30/2018, I received a phone call from the Officer (who was great) informing me that my case has received final approval. Wooohooo, this was one of the best news I have received in a long time!!!!
After taking the Oath and receiving my certificate of naturalization on 04/17/2018, I feel as if I have been reborn, and I am forever grateful for the work done by Mr. Chavez, Mr. Lee, Ms. Twyman, Ariel, Beatriz and the support staff. So if you need help with any immigration matter, don’t hesitate to contact the office of Mr. Chavez and Valko.

I'd like to Thank the Office of Chavez and Valko for their hard work. I was very pleased with their extensive preparation for my case. They are very professional and courteous. For a little over 9 years, I had consulted with other immigration forms, and non of them could help me. They always gave me the "run-around" and uncertainty for my case. Being that another firm had lost all of our documents for immigration, With Chavez and Valko hard work, they were able to "find" copies of my documetns dating back to 1994! Also, during the interview, the officer was surprised that Chavez and Valko were able to get copies o fhtese documents. The officer also congratulated Chavez and Valko for this accomplishment. I was arrested and taken to jail with a DWI . I’ve never had any convictions or been in that situation before so everything was new to me. Not only to mention I’m a DACA holder, so everything and anything could hurt my status.As a young adult is hard to be taken serious due to our age.We still want this matter taken care off the best way possible because our future is on the line. I had a great experience with Roland Barbosa representing me in my divorce. It's never a pleasant experience to go through the legal process of divorce, but Roland made it simple and straightforward and provided numerous updates (and answers to my several questions) as I waited for the (long and slow) Dallas County courts to sign the paperwork that had been sitting on their docket for over 2 weeks. Mr Bogen was assigned my son's case as a public defender in Kaufman county back in July of 2022. My son faced serious charges that sadly he was guilty of. However the focus of Mr Bogen from day one was to get my son the help he needed to get over his addictions and live a successful life without this mistake being held over my son's life forever. When Kaufman county refused to help my son, Mr Bogen fought them hard and got them to dismiss the charges in a short 2 months. He also gave a dose of reality to my son's mom and made her realize that she had to step up or see her first born in prison for up to 40 years.
He went above and beyond and got the best possible outcome for my son. He fought hard for a client that the county was paying for, at no point did I feel like he was not fighting 100% with all of his tools to win.
My only regret is he does not handle Family Law cases.

No matter what day or time if we called Mr. Bogen and he couldn’t answer us right away he would text right away that he was in the middle of something and he kept his word by always calling back. I want to recognize the best attorney on this planet, Joseph is definitely God Sent . He worked so hard on my brothers case in Kaufman County, not only did he bring everything to light and laid it all out for the jury to see he used facts and told the story of what happened that night. I was so amazed how sharp and very attentive he was during witness testimonies and punched holes in every story that was told by the prosecution.
