REVIEW UPDATE 11/18/24: After posting my earlier review below, Justin Gilbert literally contacted me within less than 30 minutes to follow up. I was very surprised to hear from him and impressed that he cared enough to immediately contact me. He apologized for the horrible experience(s) I encountered and offered his help regarding my initial request for a trust.
I accepted his apology and hesitantly decided to hire him to handle our trust and wills. I must admit, I am happy I did. We had a phone consultation the next day, drafts were sent about ten days later and today we met in person to finalize everything. All committed timelines were met as planned.
The entire experience today with Justin was very good - he was thorough, patient and detail oriented. He did not rush the process and effortlessly made last minute adjustments as we fine tuned details.
Justin is worthy of a 5 STAR rating but combined with my prior experiences, I changed my initial review to an overall 4 Star.
As a side note, Justin did explain the issues with their answering service and is making a change going forward.
I can now confidently recommend using this firm and specifically after working with Justin, I believe you would be very satisfied like we are.
I am not one to normally write a review but found my experiences with this firm to be horrible. Hopefully I can spare someone else the aggravation and frustration I have experienced, as well as the wasted time based on their inability to return calls.
INITIAL REVIEW: Looking for a law firm, I read positive reviews about this firm and reached out to have a consultation regarding a trust. Scheduled the phone consultation and then they changed the appointment two times before I was actually able to speak with Madelyn, an attorney at the firm. And the day of the scheduled call set for 12:30, no call, I waited 10 minutes and called the firm only to be told she would call me at 1:00. Not the scheduled time of the consultation, and no apology offered when she did actually call. Should have been my first clue about this firm,
We had an informative conversation but towards the end of the call, her phone disconnected. She did not call back to follow up to determine if we were finished or if I had additional questions.
I called this week on Monday morning - asked for Madelyn and was told to leave name and number: she would get the message. No call back - waited 48 hours and called again Wednesday morning. Same process with another receptionist - left name and number - no call back for another 32 hours. I missed the call back but received a pleasant message from someone else (Jenna possibly, name did not come across clearly on the voice message) where she asked to call her back. So two hours after receiving the message, I called back, the receptionist was unable to get me the person that I spoke with and said leave my name and number again. Completely frustrated, I explained my multiple calls to the firm, response was he would take my name and number and pass on the message.
Sadly, I have wasted 4 days this week trying to speak with an attorney at this firm to prepare a trust. I can only assume that their business is so good that they do not have time for a new client. And if I were a client, would I have to go through the same horrible process to speak to my attorney?

Let me say first and foremost that this evaluation is based upon my interactions during and immediately after a consultation. That said, to be specific I had a consultation with staff attorney, Johnathan Miley where we discussed my matter, as well as the sense of urgency because time was of the essence.
He advised me that he would review my file and get back to me in two days with his charges for a retainer to handle my case. Two days came and went plus a weekend and so I followed up and asked for him to contact me ASAP as he indicated and convey the information discussed.
The end of business has come and has passed and he, nor anyone from his firm have responded to simply convey information he said he would provide a couple of days ago. For that reason solely I have assigned the rating I assigned.

I needed help with getting primary

I had recently divorced and my daughter's custody arrangement was not going well. She was back and forth way too much and she wasn't happy. I wanted to go back to court for a better parenting plan but my original attorney was on a leave of absence. I spoke with several attorneys but each one of them told me "it was too soon" to go back to court. Emily took my case and in the mean time, my daughter was falling apart with the current plan. We went back to court and we are currently working on a new plan. Emily was a blessing to me and my daughter. I highly recommend her. She is a fighter and she has become a friend to us.

Divorce was not something I wanted. Of course, nothing I ever hoped or planned for. I was hurt, sad and scared of what was to come. And now I had to take the huge task of finding the best divorce attorney in Williamson County. When it was time, I took the recommendation of meeting Will Holloway from one of my dearest friends. Thank goodness she was on point.
I was very direct and organized with Will and he never once let me down. His communication skills were impeccable and timely. His willingness to get what I wanted done in my time frame was met at every way. I never doubted any information or advice he gave me. I always felt he had my best interests at hand with the utmost sincerity and efficiency.
At our final meeting, after the divorce was finalized, Will gave me his final “talk” and it was what I describe as a “pep talk”. His words were kind and insightful. Stuart exhibited in-depth knowledge of family law and the local legal scene. He was thorough and thoughtful in his brainstorming and recommendations. It is so difficult to find a trustworthy attorney. After meeting with several different ones, we were blessed to find Stuart. We hired him for a case of termination of parental rights and adoption of minors. It is needless to say the case resulted in our favor. I made a very bad choice one day. I was sure I was looking at several months in jail minimum. The first time I spoke with Eric, his intelligence, confidence, compassion and reassurance gave me such relief. I couldn’t believe he took my case as it was very challenging. I was anxious going to court but he really came to know me as a person, not just a case. He was genuinely concerned about my wellbeing and told me to let him worry about things. Everyone in his office was wonderful - Kaylan, Morgan, the whole team. They quickly responded to my many questions and concerns. The day of court, the DA literally complimented me to my husband on hiring such a great attorney. He is well known and respected in the court system. When the case was resolved, the outcome was way better than anything I expected. He worked very hard and I came away from the entire ordeal relieved and stunned my case turned out so well. I would highly recommend MC Davis to anyone in the process of a family law matter, specifically divorce. MC had a personal touch and never failed to ask me how I was doing personally. This meant so much to me during what was probably the most stressful and intense experience of my life. MC was willing to take on my complicated case halfway through after my first lawyer dropped out. MC gave me a clear view of my options and got results. Brandon has a wonderful knowledge of insurance law and is very easy to work with. We had a house fire where the insurance company didn't want to pay which ended up in a lawsuit. Brandon always kept us informed of what was going on and stayed on top of the ins comp. He did things we never thought an atty would do like came to the house and took time to make sure we had everything documented , as well as helping us find good honest people to help us get estimates on our home and contents, and didn't mind getting his hands dirty literally. He would take time to make sure we understood what was happening, the choices we had and how to proceed. HeGenuinely would listen to us as well about how we felt or answer any questions. This was a very heartbreaking and confusing situation we went through and without Brandon we could have never made it through and the insurance company would have been able to take advantage of us! Kay represented me during a very long divorce process as well as in multiple post-divorce hearings that arose.
