It's hard to tell. He once told me I was the most difficult client he had ever had, I said thank you and moved on. But what makes me so difficult? Knowledge of the law, refusal to accept his word for anything, and a fierce internal sense of justice. Maybe. I think John is smart and wishes he had stayed in academia. Tennessee is a dumb place to try and practice the law, the folks in charge make it impossible, that's not the fault of the attorneys, right? Anyway, John is great, he's just a Tennessee attorney and they can only do so much.

I engaged Dawn for the third time. This time to supervise my naturalization process. I would not have hired anyone but her.
I know her and I trust her based on all the work she did for me over the last 4 years.
She successfully helped me file the I-130, I-485, I-102, I-765 I-751 and finally my N400. All were approved on schedule or sooner with no RFE.
On the day of my N400 interview she helped me correct some of the information USCIS had misfiled which relieved quite a bit of stress off of me.
Dawn even joined me for my oath ceremony. If that's not going above and beyond the call of duty for an attorney, I don't know what is.

The divorce process is hard enough. I can't imagine what it would be like without a great team to help with the incredible detail that it takes to ensure you are protected. By the time the divorce was final I felt that I had an extended family with Sarah and her team. I never thought I'd need a divorce lawyer but when I found myself pregnant going through a divorce I knew I'd need one that would advocate for me and my baby boy. From the minute I met Phil Newman we just clicked. His warm, caring nature together with his no-nonsense, cut-to-the-chase way makes him a bulldog of a lawyer. In the end, the way he fights for what's best for the CHILD is what sets him apart. And he's had to put me in my place a few times, but I've always been better as a result.
Now having been divorced 8+ years and going through several post-divorce rounds of parenting plan changes, I can't recommend Phil and his team highly enough.
Especially Alisha Warner who is my other lawyer and who has walked with me as well through the past 8 years. She is an incredibly hard worker and has gut instincts that recently helped me settle a really hard situation in mediation.
I can't recommend the whole team at Puryear, Newman & Morton highly enough - they are ALL incredible to work with and ultimately fight for what's best for everyone in the long run.

Phil was highly recommended to me by a long-time friend who had recently gone through a divorce and was in a very similar situation to mine. I have two young boys and was the breadwinner in my household, which is very relevant because I had a hard time accepting the role reversal of my situation. I knew within 5 minutes of sitting down with Phil and his paralegal, Julie, that I didn’t need to look any further. Phil is a busy lawyer (which means he’s good lawyer) so he can be hard to pin down at times, BUT he was always there when I needed him – responding to texts and phone calls at night, early morning and over the weekend. He and Julie not only counseled me through the technical aspects of the divorce, but the emotional aspects as well. Phil would empathize with me and validate my feelings, but he also told me what I needed to hear even if it wasn’t what I wanted to hear. Thankfully, we were able to settle my divorce in mediation. Phil took time to explain the mediation process to me and ensure I was well prepped – both materially and emotionally. The mediation was 11 grueling hours . There was one point when we were negotiating alimony – a real sticking point for me – when Phil looked me straight in the eye and said, “Tracy, that’s a good deal. You need to take it.” I didn’t like it but I took it. No questions asked. And, this is representative of how my whole process went. Throughout one of the most difficult periods of my life when I was at my most vulnerable, Phil was my rock and my protector. I felt strong because I had Phil and Julie in my corner. On one hand, I’m grateful my divorce didn’t end up in court, but on the other hand, I would have loved to see him in action in that setting. He’s strong advocate, great listener and fierce negotiator, but best of all…he’s an overall wonderful human. I would recommend Phil over and over again.

I was referred to Neil specifically because he is skilled in complex divorce litigation. My divorce case was lengthy, difficult, often frightening, and highly toxic. You don't want just any divorce attorney for such a case. Neil is tough when he needs to be, but in my case he also worked for the best interests of my children and made every effort to reduce conflict when he could. He's not simply an "attack dog" out to "win" your case. (So often, when that's the case, it's the children who lose.) Ultimately, his aim was to help reach a settlement and the best possible custody arrangement under extra difficult circumstances, and also to save me tens of thousands of dollars in potential trial costs. I called Dana and hired him to represent a family member in a DUI case. Dana looked at all of the discovery materials and one thing didn’t quite feel right to him. He requested follow up documentation from the DA’s office, who stalled and deferred for close to a year, postponing court dates multiple times. Dana didn’t back off, and the DA finally admitted that he didn’t have the media Dana was requesting.
He negotiated a favorable plea agreement that was far better than what we thought was possible. I’d hire Dana again without hesitation.

If you need an attorney, Dana is the one you need to hire. Dana was referred to me from a friend and WOW, what a great choice. From the first time we spoke on the phone until my court date was over, he was top notch. I've used many attorneys throughout life and he is by far the best I've used. If you are in need of a great attorney that will put your mind at ease, look no further. I had a probation violation in Franklin and it couldn't have went better. The way he handled himself in the courtroom to the way he always responded to my texts/calls, I never felt alone in my case and always felt he was fighting for me. Jim was referred to me by a friend during a very difficult time in my life. Over the next 3 months, Jim was always just a phone call away, either answered me right away or called me back within 5 minutes. I was on the receiving end of a car wreck back in 2019. Two days later I could hardly walk. I knew I was in trouble physically so I reported my work. At that point it was a worker comp situating. After several doctors appointments and physical therapy sessions I decided to do some homework for an attorney. Jim was recommended to me by my employer’s attorney. I trust my employer to send me to the best attorney. They did. I reached out to Jim and he took my case. He told me on the front end that this case would be difficult due to the reputation of this particular insurance company. He is great at communicating and keeping me in the loop. He’s not afraid to fight in court if it would have come to that. It didn’t because Jim had gathered enough ammunition that they knew they had to settle. I highly recommend Jim. My spouse hired a high-powered "celebrity" attorney and was planning on putting me "through the ringer" and was planning to take our child out of state with the man she was having an affair with. Mr. Fort stood toe-to -toe with her council and was able to get me everything I asked for. He is very knowledgeable and understands the law and formulates an amazing strategy. Thanks to him I have 50/50 custody without having to concede any other demands. He and Misti (paralegal) are strong communicators who will answer very promptly (always within an hour) with concrete advice. Obviously each case is different but if you are totally 100% open and honest, Mike will fight for you. I would recommend Mike to anyone who is in need of a top-notch lawyer.

I consulted with a few different attorneys in Franklin & Crystal was the only one that made me feel as if she really was listening to what I was saying. The others, for the most part, made me feel as if we were being timed & I had to race through my situation.
I hired Crystal after about a month when I was ready to file for divorce. She walked me through all of the scenarios & her paralegal gave me a bunch of information to help me when I needed to refer to if I needed it, which I found so helpful.
I’m still going through the divorce process but they’ve made me feel like I’m not alone.

Cannot give enough credit or positive feedback for Mrs. Etue and her staff, especially Erin. They are what a lawyer should be when it comes to truly knowing and advocating for their client. They took the time to truly get to know me, my situation which two previous attorneys had blundered horribly, and then on principle, dug in and scratched and used their extensive understanding of the law to clear the minefield my ex had laid out. They saw the truth, dug hard to get the facts and evidence to support it and overcome opposing sides efforts to conceal and hide crucial materials. I had almost been broken by the process and stress, but they gave me a glimmer of hope, then fed it and worked so hard to stand up to the opposing side, and now, we clearly are in an incredible position to get the results we sought and then some because they fought the right fight and took a stand against an opposing side based on values and principles. You cannot go wrong hiring Mrs. Etue, just be honest, forthcoming NO MATTER WHAT, because they are the poster child for integrity and can handle anything put forth as long as they aren't blindsided. All in all he's reasonably priced & straight forward. No sugar coating and he doesn't beat around the bush. Communication was a little hectic but it's very understandable considering how busy a lawyer is and the system at the jail was all out of wack. When you call him about questions and concerns he doesn't rush you! That's a huge plus for me being as I've had quite a few attorneys for different reasons and they've all seemed too busy to hold more than a 5min phone call.

The Plaintiffs Law Firm proved to be an excellent firm. They were very professional; calls were returned in a reasonable amount of time; everyone used the same terminology and gave the same answers; and during the length of my case, there was no turnover in the office (which says a lot).
Mr. Frazier would respond via phone, fax, email, or text; thus, the firm is up to standards with technology. Mr. Frazier's availability is rated as excellent. My concerns were always considered "important". The pleasant attitude and willingness to follow through ensured that everything was being handled and Mr. Frazier's knowledge of the law lessened any apprehension about my case. Donna was my attorney through a two year fight with a very contentious ex wife and her equally contentious attorney.
Everything from 50/50 custody to every financial decision (including the realtor chosen to sell the marital home) was fought for or had to be decided by the court because of my ex and her attorney.
After a long and drawn out process I got the 50/50 custody that I wanted and am much better off financially than I could have ever imagined at the start of this process.
Furthermore, Donna was very good at talking me through the process and calming me when I felt overwhelmed or just wanted to cave to their scare tactics. This saved me thousands of dollars and helped me through this emotionally.
