I haven’t needed a lawyer in Florida since I’ve gotten here, but I was referred to Jessica recently. All I have to say is, I’ve never felt anything handled in the best way possible. I want to thank God that we found Cindi ! When things look grim and hopeless for my daughter and children I believe we were guided to Cindi. The previous lawyer my daughter had was useless and kept telling her she had to keep going back into a home that was dangerous for her and our grandchildren because of domestic violence.

Cindi is a true advocate for her clients. She was contacted during a time of despair and even though she was skeptical at first of our concerns….she listened to us and sat down to go over our case. We had previously had a well known attorney out of Jacksonville. Unfortunately, he did not take the time to listen to us nor fight for what we knew could not be afforded. Cindi ended up locating the egregious mathematical errors that had resulted in the judge awarding the other party an outrageous monthly alimony payment (an alimony payment that was unable to be made due to other bills and obligations). She fought for what could be afforded…..which was no alimony….and she delivered! It’s been an extended, prolonged battle but in the end the outcome is much better than we could have ever anticipated!! Cindi is incredibly knowledgeable about the law and sets realistic expectations for what the judge is likely to award. She does not make empty promises. Her prices are also incredibly reasonable and if I’m being honest, she should raise her fees. Cindi’s rates are fair and she remains conscientious of her client’s budget (unlike many other attorneys out there who will bill you for every little thing and take unnecessary and unproductive steps just in order to create billable hours). Cindi also always keeps the childrens’ best interest at heart. She is genuinely compassionate about her job and you tell how much she loves family law with the effort that she puts in! Paul and Harry Shorstein helped me through a very difficult case pertaining to a Dui. I had been sleep driving due to a bad reaction to my sleep meds. Although this was a very unique case without much precedence they handled it very effectually They were able to have the DUI dropped to just Reckless driving with no guilty plea or conviction. After my car accident I went to one of the TV lawyers. I had trouble getting answers to my questions. I never really got to talk to my lawyer and they really didn't seem interested in helping me. It seemed like they were too busy and my case didn't seem to matter to them, like I was just one of their many files. I finally got frustrated enough that I wanted to get a new lawyer. A friend told me I should call Ken Howell, the lawyer who had helped him. so I did. Things were different with Ken. He seemed to really care about his clients, he explains everything and he really wants to help his clients. There was a big difference in the service he provided . Ken is not like the TV lawyers.

Unfortunately, I have had two car accidents in the past several years and neither one was my fault. Ken Howell was my lawyer for both accidents. Two reasons I came back to Ken Howell again for the second accident were because Ken really cares about helping you and Ken works really hard on your case. In 2009, I went through a divorce after being married for 14 years to my high school sweetheart. I was devastated to find out that my husband was having an affair and that his mistress was moving from Boston to Jacksonville in less than 2 weeks. A friend of mine advised that I call her attorney, Garrett Barket, and I am so glad that I did!
From the moment I walked into the office, Garrett and his paralegal, Jan, did whatever they could to put me at ease. I think of them as the "dynamic duo." They knew that I was scared, devastated and had no idea what was going to happen to me or my kids. Garrett treated me with respect and was beyond caring. Jan was always available for questions and Garrett was always prompt to reply when I needed to be in touch with him. He knew the law and was honest about what could happen and did not give me any false expectations.
I met with several other "top" attorneys in town who were either not professional or treated me as if I was just a number. One of them even hinted that he would like to go on a date! I am confused at the previous reviews, my experiences have only been positive. I originally hired Robert Fishback for an incident a few years ago for a traffic violation. All I had to pay was the ticket, I did not get points. A few years ago, I was pulled over after I had left a party and blew a .08 and was taken to jail. I didn't know who else to call ..and glad I did. He was able to contact a judge and I was let out within a few hours. I was looking at a DUI but thanks to Mr. Fishback,I got a lesser charge and eventually he had it expunged from my record all together. Most recently I was speeding and again, Mr. Fishback managed to get me no points on my license.

I did not know I could call an attorney from the Duval County Jail. I sat in there for 21 days. Not fun!
The first and second time I went to court, the prosecution gave wrong information to the judge. Because I confronted the prosecution, when she told the judge I had four DUI’s the judge did not like that at all. It was my first DUI. On the second court appearance the prosecution said I hit four vehicles. That was not true either. The judge, at that point asked the prosecution if it was possible if I had hit one car with all the passengers in the car. The judge was correct. At that time, he ordered some kind of investigation. I had wrecked into one car.
Mr. Fishback also told me from the beginning there were no guarantees my case would come out in my favor. There was no way he could promise that and if he had promised me he could win the case hands down I would have known immediately he would have been the wrong attorney to hire. I like and respect him for his honesty professionalism.
I really cannot accurately express my satisfaction for the way he handled my case in every aspect. He worked hard and he did great.
I met a lady the other day that said she needed a lawyer so I immediately gave her Mr. Fishback's telephone number and location. I will recommend Mr. Fishback every single time I know someone is in need of legal assistance.
Mr. Fishback will also send you a letter(s) as a follow-up with the disposition and other important information. He looks out for the best interest of his clients. I know one thing for sure, if I ever need legal assistance again I know whom to call.
Mr. Fishback saved me from a lot of heartache and many extra expenses that could have come from the DUI. I suggest not using a public defender.
Overall I couldn’t be more pleased with the way my case was handled by Mr. Fishback from his very first day and all the way through to completion.

A few years ago I was involved in a car accident that resulted in some injuries. It was my first car accident and I was extremely scared, lost and confused on how to proceed. Marc was wonderful. Even when I wanted to give up. It took us almost 6 long years to get my case resolved, but Marc and Ken were great. They both kept me on track. Ken is Marc's assistant, and is good . If I hadn't of been with Marc then I probably would have settled for a pittance. If you are hurt at work and want someone who will fight for you, then Marc is the man for you. He cares, he really does, and now a days that's hard to find.
