She helped us identify our rights as tenants, inform our landlord of uninhabitable issues, and work through mediation and agreements to settle our move-out and lease termination. Unfortunately, I had suffered an injury caused by being on the wrong side of a car accident. I had been looking around at major firms to represent me and was either met with automatic replies or days of waiting for a response. Evan Walker had immediately replied with a phone call and listened to my story. He was extremely empathetic and treated me like an actual human instead of a case. During the whole process, Evan was continually checking in on me to update and explain complicated terms and processes in ways that anyone could easily understand. I recently moved across the country to San Diego and started a business so getting a great/trusted lawyer was high on my priority list. Kris Mukherji was highly recommend to me by a friend and I'm so thankful we connected.
I needed help setting up and S-Corporation for my business and someone to review a purchase agreement. As a first time business owner I had a lot of questions and Kris was always so quick to respond and make sure I understood everything. My S-corp filing was done with hardly any effort from me and was filed in no time. My purchase agreement review ended up being must more involved than we had anticipated. Nicholas James de Blouw or “Nick” as I like to call him is ALL you desire from an attorney. I contacted him simply from Google research after I endured flagrant abuses over some time at the workplace. Before contacting Nick, I exposed my case to an Employment Attorney whom I was referred to by her husband who is a friend from Church. I was expecting a compassionate ear but did not get this.
From the initial contact after I exposed my case, Nick was confident that he would get justice for me and right the wrong. He was going to do this without any upfront initial fee from me. That says a lot about how confident Nick is about the work he does and how he does it. It was all too good to be true, especially after my rejection.
The road to travel was long but all along, Nick reassured me about what was happening. Not having a case, the employer’s legal team was dragging their feet and subsequently earning for themselves unnecessary fees. Nick exhorted me to be patient. I can't imagine a better experience working with Yingfei and I am so grateful of her help. I hired Yingfei to help my mom apply for her green card and I interviewed several attorneys. I can't express how grateful my fiance' and I are that we chose Charity. I live in Michigan, so I filled out a request for help. I can't put into words how stressful that first step was. Charity was the first to call, and she spoke very reassuring and calmly that she would definitely help us to make sure all of our paperwork was in order. I can honestly say Charity is one of the most patient persons I know.
Both my fiance' and I are overthinkers. I must have emailed Charity I can't recall how many times because we constantly reference online 'examples' despite Charity giving us everything we needed for proof. I got my Permanent residency(Green card) for 10 years.

This review is about five years overdue but Marlene deserves the credit. When my (then) husband unexpectedly asked for a divorce, he took everything out of our shared account and hired a lawyer instead of going through the military. Marlene worked with me on fees for what I could afford and did an amazing job representing me! She was incredibly thorough and kept up with fighting accusations from the other lawyer with proof they were false. The divorce ended in my favor without having to meet with my husband or go to court. I highly recommend Marlene Keen.

Paul was able to help guide us through a recent real-estate transaction dispute. I would highly recommend him and I would hire him again. He was super knowledgeable and friendly. Jerry Burleson represented me in a minority shareholder case, and I was very pleased with his legal services and the resolution of the case. I wanted to be involved behind the scenes in the legal research, the discovery and the decisions involving my shareholder case. To my delight, Jerry was quite willing to allow me to do that. Jerry developed a creative legal theory based on the facts of my case and he pursued it in court with vigor. Jerry kept me informed of developments on my case, and there were numerous times when he invited me to his office to work with him on discovery and preparing the case for trial. He could easily have done these things without my being so directly involved, but he seemed pleased to have my assistance. I felt confident throughout Jerry’s handling of my case because Jerry was always a step ahead of the defense. This was a difficult case, with little precedent and hard to prove. Despite it looking to be an uphill battle, Jerry stood firm, which I appreciate greatly. I think many lawyers might have tossed in the towel at a few points as the case progressed. In the end, it was Jerry’s extensive legal research specific to the legal theory he had developed that made the difference: the court was persuaded that my case had a solid footing, despite the constant rhetoric and objections of the defense counsel. I recommend Jerry Burleson as an attorney to anybody in California with a shareholder case. In my experience working with Jerry, if there is a case there, he can sniff it out and turn it into money!

Jerry Burleson's focus on minority shareholders rights was very evident when he took my stockholder fraud case, I had previously spoken to at least 4 other attorneys who all had declined taking my case in the guise of it "not being a strong case". In my opinion, it was more them not being familiar with the part of corporate law that deals specifically with my case. But Jerry did. He has the expertise, knowledge and experience.
Jerry immediately agreed that my case was strong and have lots of merits, even with several potential statute of limitation issues. We were also up against a deep-pocketed adversary employing several law firms which did not intimidate Jerry at all. He handled the case very well on his own coming up with legal strategies to deal with those challenges. I was quite pleased with the eventual settlement that he successfully negotiated in my behalf.
I emphatically endorse Jerry as an attorney for any kind of stockholder case.

My two sons were subjected to emotional and physical abuse by their mother and her boyfriend while living with them in California. I live in Chicago and had one son who stayed to live with me. For 1.5 years I was unable to contact nor visit with the second son who remained with his mother in California. Mattis Law drafted a perfect filing for our case presentation, including statements written and executed by my wife's father, step mother and sister which resulted in my Illinois son continuing to reside with me and a court ordered visitation for the son living in California.
Amelia Mattis is organized, intelligent, poised and calm even when opposing counsel's behavior was obnoxious. Amelia is walks into court cute as a button, but every word out of her mouth is so precise, factual, and loaded with information. When she speaks, she does it in a way that settles all the dust and allows her verbal argument and points to be not only heard but received. She is smart as a whip, knows her stuff like the back of her hand, will work with you to get what you want but won’t lead you astray if she doesn’t think it’s doable. She’s compassionate, professional, and will absolutely work wonders for you. Highly recommend!
Unlike a lot of attorneys, she will advocate hard for you and your children, but without bringing the drama, antagonism and inflammatory/smear campaign into the mix.
