I met Mr. Alvaro Acevedo after looking at his profile in Avvo because I was looking for a firm that could help me with the dissolution of my company. When Mr. Acevedo made the review of all the documents we had of the company, he noticed we didn’t file tax returns from previous years for the company and the partners. Investment property in foreclosure a couple of years and eventually Mr. Montalvo negotiated a release and waiver of deficiency.
Primary Home:
Defended the foreclosure tried to obtain a modification was denied 4 times ended up going to trial lost the trial. Entered a Chapter 13 Plan under the new loan modification programs was able to obtain a loan modification with forgiveness of principal and eventually got out of Bankruptcy as we accomplished our main mission of obtaining a modification.

I was referred to Gary Gostel by a close friend of mine. I found out I was soon be a father with a woman I did not wish to pursue a relationship with. I lacked a clear head at the time, so naturally I panicked. I became accusative and angry at the mother of my unborn child. Gary's counsel helped me even out and make smarter decisions. My end goal, regardless of the relationship with my current partner, was to be an active father and repair the damage I had done to the relationship with the mother.
Within two months of meeting Gary, just before the birth of my daughter, Gary managed to demonstrate his professional value. Gary accomplished this by helping me and the mother through the paternity test, brokering the mother's agreement to a 50-50 joint custody, gain open-ended visitation rights, and mending the broken relationship with the mother I had previously created.
All of this without a single day in a courtroom!
Gary was efficient, professional, and above all else empathetic towards my situation as a single father. I could not have asked for a more detailed and successful outcome, and Gary delivered on every expectation he originally laid out.

Attorney Alex personally called me right away and after ascertaining I deserved my deposit back, he went to work. A certified letter from Alex is all it took and I received my deposit back plus they had to pay my attorney's fee. Woo Hoo! Go Littleguy! I highly recommend everyone to fight back when your security deposit is unjustly kept if there were no damages and your rent was paid up to date. Reasonable wear and tear does NOT come out of your deposit. The none refundable pet fees were meant for deep carpet cleaning the landlord has to do after move out. Don't hesitate to ask the "littleguy". He can work anywhere in the state for you.

I had some issues with my landlord waiting 5 months before making any claim on my security deposit, and at the end of the 5th month she decided that her claim would be for all of it. I reached out to the LGLF and they reviewed my case and provided a very courteous discussion about what my rights were and what I would need to submit to them to further my case. As I reviewed the documents they asked me to provide, I came across a point in my lease agreement that quite clearly stated they had 30 days to make a claim after I left, or they cannot make a claim against my deposit. I had read prior to this discovery the Renter's Rights law in Florida and sent it to the landlord, but I don't think she took it seriously until she saw that she had signed off on that very document. Ultimately, I did not have to move forward with the legal case as my landlord provided me with my full security deposit. However the guidance provided by the LGLF was instrumental in causing this favorable outcome. Although I signed a document indicating I would hire them for their service and could have pressed on with the case, they politely indicated that our relationship was terminated and I would not be charged anything. All in all, it was a great experience with kind and concerned people who I am sure all too often have to deal with landlords of questionable repute. I would recommend this service to anyone who has felt they have been wronged by a landlord.

I came across Leonard Mondschein's name a few times over the years assuming that one day my parents might be in need of one. Oddly I kept his name in different places and when the time came which was about 6 months ago, I went on the internet to look for an elder lawyer. After finding him I gave the info to my mom and later found his name on little pieces of paper I had saved. It was true Kismet!
He has helped my mom with my step-dad's needs and now he is helping my dad with my step-mom's needs. Who knew his services would be required twice in 6 months.
I have been a part of the process with the first parent and it went quite smoothly. My mom is thrilled with his services as am I. Now it's time for dad, and I expect it will be a bit more challenging as his circumstances are a bit different, but all the same I'm certain that Leonard will be do a fantastic job with all matters at hand.
Leonard is understanding about the elderly in general and willing to incorporate family members into the conversation to assist the one needing the help.
