I hired Erich almost 3 years ago after an accident. He fought and battled that entire time for me. We were thrown several curve balls throughout the process and Erich knocked them out of the park. Our brother died unexpectedly and shortly afterwards his long-time caretaker and the caretaker’s attorney produced a will that left our brother’s entire estate to the caretaker. My sister and I were surprised that our brother would not discuss such a big change in his estate plan with us beforehand and after talking to some of our brother’s friends, we were told that this will was suspicious and we needed to retain legal counsel to look into it.
Thank Goodness we took their advice and were very fortunate to choose Trevor Lippman of O’Neil Cannon as our representative. My sister and I cannot say enough to praise the hard work and professionalism that Trevor demonstrated. As this was the first time my sister and I had ever been involved in a legal action, we needed a lot of support and explanation. At first it seemed like a typical estate dispute, but we knew that here was something wrong with the fact that my brother would change his will so dramatically without letting us know. We had never had to retain an attorney and had many questions. Trevor carefully explained every aspect of the case as we went along and helped us understand the legal system. Trevor began the investigation and through many twists, turns and complications was able to discover that our concerns were justified and we were able to retain a significant part of the estate. I cannot say enough about Trevor. He is smart and hardworking, he digs deep into the facts, pulling layer after layer together to tell the true story and he was able to remember everything in this complicated case. James was thorough diligent very informal and he inspired me the most that he had an sincere concern about little old me. He took my case seriously and consulted with me on every hand about what he saw and thought from all points of views, the good and the bad. An error with Adobe Acrobat screwed up our AOS process. I entered our original marriage date and the printer in my home broke for unknown reasons. I had to copy the I-485 form in an external USB drive and took it to FedEx for printing. Unfortunately, when I opened the document in FedEx, Adobe defaulted the marriage date to current date. I did not know this until I received an RFE which stated that the marriage date in application does not match the date in certificate. The amount of evidence required was enormous and the verbiage in the RFE was like Latin (We weren't able to understand a single sentence). That's when we met Jennifer to help us with the RFE and she was very professional, knowledgeable and guided us with the right documents. The way she organized the documents was phenomenal. Our AOS was approved in 3 days after USCIS received the response for RFE. I would highly recommend her for any immigration questions or issues.

Public Defenders have a general reputation of being pro-government. In fact, on the streets they are called "Public Pretenders." Mr. Uller is anything but.
I had the pleasure of having Josh represent me while on parole/probation for (I still don't understand the difference!) for (believe it or not) tax evasion from 1998! My conviction was in October of 2014 and was the result of a plea bargain I agreed to only because the feds were harassing my family. My husband and I hired Jonathan after having a dispute with a contractor. This was the first time either one of us had ever hired a lawyer. Jonathan was highly recommended by a colleague and we immediately understood why. I texted him requesting urgent help on a Thursday night as our issue was time sensitive. He responded that evening and by Friday morning, we had hired him. He was able to efficiently gather enough information to start addressing our urgent concern that Friday afternoon. Within the week, our situation was resolved to our satisfaction. His responsiveness and professionalism was outstanding. He helped set expectations and educate us. He was upfront about expected costs for our case and when we ended up exceeding that, he honored his initial quote. We are in the middle of an adoption and he told us to take the difference of the quote and actual cost of his services and apply it towards the adoption. My job was eliminated after 18 yrs. I was 1 of 3 over age 60 eliminated. Since there were new employees and less seniority employees , i felt i was let go unfairly with age discrimination. Jonathan fought for a new severance contract against the medical corporation and won. He achieved double the severance i was offered per "their protocol" that was unfair. I have had the pleasure of working with Luke and his team for 2 really bad car accidents (9/2015 and 1/2016). When I first met Luke I appreciated that he listened to all my concerns, answered all my questions and did not give me the typical lawyer pitch on how he could help me get a large some of money. After my crash Attorney Abraham and his team took immediate action to preserve and record evidence from the scene. The team's accident investigator came to my hospital room the next day to answer my questions and address concerns I had about how the police investigation was being handled. With that visit I was confident Attorney Abraham and his team were devoting the resources needed for my complicated crash investigation. With that weight lifted from my shoulders, I was able to just focus on the many surgeries ahead to be able to walk again.
Attorney Abraham's team was great at keeping me informed with every aspect of the case walking me through everything that came up. Whenever I wanted to talk to him personally about questions my call was either taken immediately or returned the same day.
During my hospitalized for three months, he and other members of my legal team would call to check how I was doing and if their were any needs or questions.
When I had to give a statement or deal with insurance investigators Attorney Abraham answered all my concerns before the meetings. As well as having someone from the team present with me.
I recall while in hospital struggling with how to share some disappointing information with my family. I turned to Jason for advice, he was very compassionate and treated me like a close friend, pointed out somethings I was overlooking and took the weight from my shoulders. He even offered to be present to explain things to my family and answer their questions.
When it came time to settle the case he was very effective in getting more than expected using some creative legal procedures.
Never was there a time that I didn't know what was going on with the case. When decisions had to be made I was always given options. When I asked for his opinion he shared it with his explanation supporting it.

I wish I could give 100 stars, 5 just isn't enough. Mr. Binder is an outstanding lawyer and anyone should have the utmost confidence when hiring him.
I hired him for a drug related case vs the State of Wisconsin. I was facing 9 felony charges. The most serious one up to 40 years in prison and the others weren't much better; together they totaled 143 years maximum imprisonment exposure. On top of this, the prosecutor was no slouch, quite the opposite in fact, lots of prison is always what he wants and he doesn't budge on that. This prosecutor actively tried to make my charges sound worse than they really were to the judge during the hearings to a blatant degree; I got the feeling the State really wanted to put me away for a long time, which was terrifying.
From day one I always got the impression that Mr. Binder worked tirelessly on my case, doing everything and researching everything that he possibly could to get me the best decision possible. I also got the impression that he genuinely cared about my wellbeing and was invested in the outcome of my case far past any payment, and I was right (read to end to see why). To begin, Mr. Binder and his firm secured my bail at $5000, when the State asked for $100,000. Mr. Binder poured over every piece of evidence while crafting my defense and kept me in the loop the entire time. He was able to successfully elongate my case, always getting at least 3 months between hearings, if not more. In conjunction with that, he gave me tips and ideas on what I could do to best boost my chances of a favorable verdict, which turned out to be very helpful. As a result, I had the time I needed to follow through with his suggestions and I am confident that they saved me a lot of prison time. Throughout the case Mr. Binder made himself available whenever I had questions or concerns and he always took the time to explain everything in great detail to me; often times this would take up hours of his time and I always felt as though he was glad to do it. The initial plea offer from the State was 8 years in prison, which Mr. Binder thought was unnecessarily high and he was able to get the plea down to some amount of prison time, left to the Court's decision, with the ability for the Defense to argue. With this prosecutor that seemed like magic. In the end, he was able to argue for 4 years of probation with 9 months of condition time (3 months straight time, 6 months Huber) and an imposed and stayed sentence of a few years. I was not fined at all, and I was able to get a report date 1 month out from my sentence date instead of being taken to jail right after sentencing. This is where most lawyers would end it, but not Mr. Binder. He continued to keep in contact with me and help me navigate the Huber situation; he reached out multiple times to the HOC in attempts to get information from them, get them to guarantee my release for Huber (HOC makes their own rules and can just ignore what the judge says, doesn't make sense at all, broken system) and possibly get me electronic monitoring instead (still up in the air, but probably a no due to my charges, nothing he can do about that). The HOC is wholly incompetent in every regard, yet Mr. Binder keeps trying, and keep in mind, he is not obligated to at all, my case is over, he can walk away anytime he wants, but he's choosing to go far above and beyond and it's fantastic. Mr. Binder is not just a phenomenal lawyer, he is a phenomenal human being as well, and it shows in many ways. He is the type of lawyer that all others should strive to be like and live up to.
The bottom line is, hiring Mr. Binder was the best decision I could have made. If you want a truly outstanding lawyer who will do everything he can for you and treat you like his friend or family, Mr. Binder is your man. Do not hesitate to hire him.

I was pretty devastated about my situation until I called John. He had been recommended to me by someone I trust and almost immediately made me feel better about what was going on. We sat down and talked. By the end of the conversation, I was sure I picked the right guy. From then on, he had everything under control. Any time something came up, he handled it and let me know. Every time I asked him something, he had the answer or got back to me right away. I once called hm in a panic because I missed a form in the mail and thought I was going to lose my license. He had already submitted the form for me. I called him when my scram broke and fell off in the middle of the night and he got ahold of all the right people and I was able to make it right without me being non compliant. Laureen was recommended to us by a social worker at the Guatemalan consulate in Chicago. She was very knowledgeable, compassionate, and easy to work with. There were a few minor glitches, but Laureen did a great job at a reasonable price. She was able to tie together the various documents to provide a strong case that G_____ should qualify for DACA. Due to extenuating circumstances, we did not have concrete proof other than affidavits (letters). She was able to deal with the Spanish documents from Guatemala and get a true translation. She was very quick to answer our emails and thoroughly answer all of our questions.

What I found is the Laureen is very bright, very intuitive, and has a heart. She was up front about the charges and so we knew exactly where we were and she never added "extra" costs. We're a nonprofit that uses subcontractors to teach workshops and provide storytelling coaching, and over the years, we've developed a good deal of intellectual property such as workshop templates and handouts.
