Archana Srivastava, Esq. is a wonderful lawyer. She has helped me navigate custody issues with a difficult ex husband. I wish I had taken the advice she gave me in several instances. I should have listened to her because she was trying to guide me to compromising on things instead of fighting my ex. I regret not listening to her more because she knew what she was talking about. Ghazal brought me so much peace after days of not being able to sleep or eat. Our 1st conversation took so much weight off my shoulders. The arresting officer lied on paperwork stating that I refused a blood test. That would mean my license would automatically be suspended for a year. Everytime I received mail from the dmv I would get nauseous. She reassured me and I did everything she asked. I don't know how Ghazal did it but she won against the dmv and I never lost my license. She checked in with me often and kept me posted on the case. Eventually a year went by and Ghazal had my arrest sealed and destroyed. I am so grateful for her 🙏🏽

We reached out to Josh looking for a local lawyer who understood real estate law in Alameda and Contra Costa County. Why do i recommend her so strongly? My Divorce case started in August 2017, and at that time I was represented by another attorney, but within one month I switched on to another attorney (Not Asha). Why?
My previous attorney was totally unprofessional, and would be on time with invoice but no progress in the case. So, I chose another lawyer and that lawyer just made a mess of my case by making delay in submitting document, and moreover the stipulation which we made were a dark web to ensure that my case runs for a long time and the attorney can keep running the invoices. Moving further 1 year into my case with no progress, I reached out to Asha again, and lucky me, she accepted the case. That was the first best step in my case which i took..
I myself give 100% in work and i feel actions are better than words. But the other attorney's were primarily words and gave only 5-10% of effort what i would expect. I am not a lawyer, but as you go with your case, you start seeing the positive / negative of the strategy which your lawyer recommends / adopts. I was getting impatient and my anxiety of what should be done was increasing and taking a toll on me. So, with the hope that may be Asha is the right attorney, i decided to talk to her. Also, I got recommendation of her from one of my colleague where Asha was the opposing counsel. She is awesome, that's why someone recommended the opposing counsel!.
Oh man, believe me, Since the day Asha took over my case, I never had to worry about my case at all. I am not exaggerating but her professionalism, timeliness and ethics would make it easy for you to worry less / none about the case. I am fan, and in awe of Asha's professionalism, she is the best attorney one could get.
What I got?
- All the documentation was thorough, thought through and ON TIME.
- She reviewed the existing case documents, sat with me and explained how we are going to tackle the existing issues. (Some of them created by previous attorney's)
- She is very transparent and will keep me looped (in bcc) with the emails to opposing counsel. This instils huge trust as you believe / see what is going on vs Oh i spoke and this is what the other counsel said.
- Every email I sent, i got a quick and satisfactory response. This reduces the number of emails which you send and keeps your brain content. She might respond, that I will get to you by xxx day, but that will keep you content and she will definitely respond. (No bluffs from her side at all on timelines)
- We prepared for trial thoroughly and since that day, my communication to her is very little, because she has already covered everything, now for our hearings there is little or nothing to discuss. Our preparation is well in advance.
- Proper billing, Every penny is worth. 100%.
- Results: In my case, there were couple of things
1. 50% Child Custody - Before i filed divorce, my wife didn't let me see my daughter at all, for one year she was away and gave me no access to our kid. When she came back to US, i had to fight to get the custody.
2. Date of Separation was contested - We got the DOS which we wanted. This has huge impact in support / alimony calculation.
3. Property - This is on-going, I am fully satisfied with the strategy.. Let's see how the Judge rules it.
4. Bifurcation - My previous lawyer got me into a serious mess, and since I am an immigrant, there were immigration issues because of which Bifurcation became a challenge. Asha's persistent approach has brought bifurcation on the table now, Judge agreed to grant bifurcation. That is a great win! Because my wife, wants to extend the case forever..
4. Anti-Injunction granted
- Lastly - PEACE. Most Important.

Recently, I found myself in a potentially disasterous situation, and when I called for Mr. Thorman (who I had previously retained on a different case) I was told he had retired. Panic! However, Mr. Jared Winter stepped in for the rescue, literally.
First conversation: He informed me that he consulted with another lawyer prior to returning my call. I immediately felt a sense of relief (brainstorming among intellectuals often yields better results) at his honesty and then his advice that he gave me.
The consult was a goldmine: he instantly informed me what not to do (which incidently resulted in me not getting charged) and informed me what my legal obligations were.
Later that day I required more help as few more details came to light: I received a call back about 20 minutes later and he helped me with my option to navigate through my situation. When it did not work, the following business day Mr. Winter handled my issue with the police officer in such a manner that I did not have to personally meet/talk or even look at the officer. Mr. Winter mentioned the officer asked me to come in-person & hand some paperwork, however my lawyer maneuvered it so that it was e-mailed instead.
Lastly, during my first conversation Mr. Winter asked if I was okay, injury wise. It completely caught me off guard. It was unexpected and honestly refreshing! I've worked with a few lawyers and in my experience most were very "as a matter of fact" and focused only on prepping me on what to expect. I don't remember anyone ever asking me if I was okay.

Life is a complicated thing. As you attempt to make the best of it, we all make mistakes along the way. With my mistakes came consequences. I was arrested for making bad decisions, and I needed legal representation. I was arrested in Nevada, and because I was facing 3 felonies in California, I was held on a 30 day extradite hold at CCDC in Las Vegas. Because I was on a hold I didn't have a public defender or anybody representing me. If California wanted to pick me up, they had 30 days to come get me. I could have waited the 30 days, but regardless if California came or not, my warrants would still be active. I would have the same monkeys on my back as before the 30 days. A strong support system insisted that this can be handled differently than me just waiting. I decided to hire a lawyer. My mother did some research and found a firm where I was blessed with Jared Christian Winters. These charges were old, marijuana based, but still felonies. I am a professional and I couldn't bare being a felon. I didn't know if a lawyer could really do anything for me on an extradite. My boss is who translated everything to me because I was locked up, and he dealt with my lawyer more than I did. As time continued while locked up, Jared continued to fight for me. I felt comfortable with everything as he progressed through this case. I was in jail and I wasn't afraid. He pulled all punches to get this extradite lifted and me released. He was able to get my charges reduced in California, without me there, because I was in jail. Then with just misdemeanors it was evident that if I was in California, I would already be released. That made it clear that they weren't coming. It just had one problem, Clark County wouldn't facilitate the lift on the Nevada side. Mr. Winter went at it again. He eventually got my charges reduced, and was able to get my lift released with a citation signed by a lawyer in Nevada. From what I hear this is very rare. Not too many cases end in a lifted extradite hold. My original release date was on Thanksgiving of 2018. I was released a week early and got to spend the holiday with my family. This alone made hiring Jared as my lawyer the smartest thing I could have ever done when my freedom is at stake. After I was released, I called him and asked if we can hire him again. He went to court on those original felony charges that he was able to reduce while I was incarcerated in another state. Following court on December 13th, my entire case is dismissed. We all make mistakes, and we all deserve another chance. Sometimes we need life to give us a break. I thank you Jared Christian Winter for getting me that break, allowing me to move on with my life, and taking those monkeys off my back. I highly suggest others with legal issues do the same.

I've worked with other attorneys in the past mostly for family law, custody, divorce ect..... I hired Mr. Winter for a restraining order situation that I was in with a tenant that lived on my property. I was extremely pleased with his services. He was so on top of things! The whole entire process felt so streamlined. I had a great experience working with The Law Office of Steve Fuerch. I was injured in a car accident that was not my fault and was hit by an uninsured motorist. Steve helped me go against my own insurance and receive a settlement I was very happy with. Steve was always extremely informative and helpful. I found Mr. Tierney using Yelp. His reviews were excellent. He wrote a contract for my wife and I on a construction project. We have also used Mr. Tierney for several cases related to rental properties (evictions). He was very reasonable with his fees and extremely knowledgable. I don't write many reviews but I felt obligated to leave a review on Avvo because of their rating system. We investigated Mr. Tierney and were comfortable using him, we found him to be honest and extemely helpful. Either the firms didn't return calls, wouldn't even give me a consult for 6 weeks, or reviewed the paperwork and just didn't want to be bothered. And then some were just flat out not nice. I was trying to sell property and I was working under some time constraints. I had zero expectations when I called Hall Law Group. They were probably my 20th phone call. Imagine my surprise when they put me right through to Angie their paralegal. I explained what I was trying to do. Right out of the gate, she said absolutely they could help. I sent over some paperwork that she requested. Before the day was over, she had advised me of the path forward, what they would be doing on their end, and scheduled a phone consultation with Attorney Mike Hall. I couldn't believe how quickly she had the process moving forward.
Mike, as well as everyone on his team, have been just a breeze to work with. They are all genuinely nice people who are all great at what they do. They had our trust issue handled and it was so painless and hassle free.

Cynthia came into my case after 5 years of dealing with an extremely litigious ex. I had been to court many times and it all seemed to be a "band-aid" until the next time he filed. I fell at work on an indoor-outdoor carpet that had the carpet at the entrance folded over causing me to trip and fall. My left shoulder was seriously injured, The examining physician recommended a shoulder replacement as the best course of action as opposed to doing nothing or arthroscopic repair.
