Unfortunately, it was determined that I wasn't geographically close enough to feasibly have my case represented by Ms. Zitano; however, the level of personal attention she showed to me, listening to my entire case with sincere patience and empathy, complete with professional insight and guidance was top notch and so appreciated. The Smith and Zitano team were a Godsend. We had a tragic medical issue occur to our family. I had contacted numerous lawyers who basically had stated, our case would not have been economically feasible for them. Katie took my SS disability case after it was rejected when I first submitted it. She thought it was not defended very well and my doctor’s reports were not fully submitted as evidence, so she agreed to represent me. She helped me collect more information and reports from my doctors that described my disability better and matched how I felt. I couldn’t have done this on my own. In the decision the judge agreed with my doctors opinions and rejected the case review doctors. I am relieved they finally understood my problem. Ms. Roe was THE primary reason I was able to maneuver the complicated SSDI process . I had numerous questions . Every time I reached out to her, she quickly and graciously answered my questions. I have been working with Jack for many years now on my estate planning, gifting and my trust planning. His extensive knowledge has saved myself & my children money the government would have gotten. Mind you no lawyer is cheap but since they all cost a lot you need to have trust in your lawyer and that is what I have in Jack. I have been a realtor since 2005. Like many, I didn’t expect the market crash and had overextended myself financially. Up until the crash, bankruptcies were unheard of to me so I set my family and health aside to work countless hours as I attempted to avoid the inevitable. I was blessed to find a decent paying job during those times yet it still wasn’t enough.
I eventually decided to consider bankruptcy because I realized that sacrificing my health and my family were not worth protecting my credit score and worldly possessions. I consulted with several bankruptcy attorneys. They each made me feel that my situation was complicated and impossible. I quickly found out that obtaining employment with decent pay was both a blessing and a curse at the same time. I was told by several attorneys that I made too much money to qualify yet I was struggling to simply keep food on the table.
I left each of their offices feeling ashamed, overwhelmed and hopeless. I was exhausted from the sleepless nights and countless hours of work yet I saw no other options. I couldn’t even find a way to give up so I continued researching options and trying bankruptcy attorneys in hopes of a miracle. In my quest for resolution, the few attorneys that even indicated a glimmer of hope said that my situation wasn’t possible without skewing a few facts. I couldn’t do it; I wanted to find an honest way to resolve the financial burden.
I finally found that in Christian Younger. He truly was my miracle that I had been praying for. He is a man of integrity and was able to finally put our difficult times behind us and give us a fresh start. -Hindsight, my situation was never impossible. It was just far too complicated for the other bankruptcy attorneys who were looking for easy cases and easy money. Nothing was as overwhelming and impossible as the other attorneys had made me feel once I found Christian Younger. He took the reins and quickly helped me resolve my financial problems. From the time that I met Christian, the bankruptcy process was quick and not the least bit complicated. The fact that he took the time to educate me on the process and involve me in every decision helped to restore my dignity and made me feel that I had control of my life for the first time in a long time. Essentially, he gave me my life back.
My humbling experience inspired me to educate myself and specialize in foreclosure alternatives. I assist both realtors and homeowners who often are in need of a good bankruptcy attorney. Like myself, many have consulted with other attorneys only to be told that their situation was impossible. Many have also already initiated the bankruptcy process with other attorneys. Often times, I see that their attorneys have done little to educate them and involve them in the decisions that affect their lives so significantly. To be frank, I’m appalled by the number of clients I have encountered in which their bankruptcy attorneys have collected their money only to leave them stranded high and dry. Christian is an awesome attorney and just an all around good guy. He knows the law inside and out. He's organized and concise.
I was shopping attorney's at other firms prior to choosing Christian as my attorney. One in particular was a big name firm and the attorney who supposedly managed the bankruptcy team was going to take my case. This guy was a total joke, didn't know the simplest things about law that even I knew as a Criminal Justice major. He was very aloof much like a college student who eats top ramen and rolls out of bed to get to class late.
After meeting with Christian, there was no comparison as far as understanding of the law and being organized. Christian was the clear choice.

If you prefer an attorney who will guide you through your Chapter 7 (or Chapter 13) bankrupty with the utmost respect, honesty, professionalism, and courtesy, I would highly recommend the Law Offices of LaJuan E. Wood.
Ms. Wood enthusiastically accepted my case when other "well-known" Sacramento bankruptcy attorneys wouldn't. Ms. Wood provided exceptional guidance and assistance throughout my (sometimes) stressful bankruptcy process.
Ms. Wood was always positive and assured me that "everything was going to be okay." She consistently returned my phone calls and answered all my questions (and believe me, I had alot of them).

I live outside of the state and contacted Ewing Law Group when I was faced with a stressful, frustrating case and a very short time frame that would require them to travel to another county. I spoke with Jason Ewing, and during our very first conversation it became clear that he is an honest person of integrity. I explained my situation, and he took the time to answer all of my initial questions, then advised me that he could take my case but that it would be cheaper for me to choose someone closer to the county where my case was filed. Knowing my financial situation, he also offered to help me complete paperwork myself, but in the end, I asked him to take the case to avoid the stress, and I am so glad I did. Through the course of working with Jason, he was very professional, but I felt more like I was communicating with a friend than simply an attorney. I never felt rushed, or that he was “squeezing me in”, even though I had a deadline coming up when I contacted him.
He was very knowledgeable, and was always willing to answer any and all of my questions, no matter how annoying I’m sure they were. I tend to worry but he never discouraged my “what if” questions and was patient and understanding of all my concerns. He took the time to break things down into simple terms and make sure that I understood things clearly.
I was impressed with his consistent promptness in returning calls and emails – there are attorneys who figure once they have your money, you are basically stuck, so you can wait until they get around to dealing with your situation. He informed me that he believes if he is being paid to perform a service, he owes it to his clients to address their concerns as soon as possible, which is something I really respect. He was very thorough, and I appreciated that if I sent him an email, he made a point to address each issue individually – I never had to email him again or call him back because something was overlooked.

I was in a tough spot in my life with my debt going up and not enough income to cover most of it. I felt at a loss and looked for ways to lower my debt, but I had no luck because the interest rates seemed to be eating up all my money and I felt like I was at a dead end. I looked into bankruptcy and looked for lawyers, but I kept finding lawyers who were vague in their responses and were not very helpful to me or my situation. Osman helped me file permanent residency in the USA. I approached his office because of the proximity factor, did not want to hire an out of state immigration attorney that I may never meet in person.
He explained the entire process in the first meeting, the required documents for filing and expected timeline based on his previous experiences with other clients. He asked me relevant questions to make sure that I did not have any previous incidents that could cause trouble in the permanent residency petition.
I had two one-to-one meetings and a phone meeting before the USCIS field office interview. The response to emails was very prompt from his Paralegal, she mailed me promptly whenever she received any documents from the USCIS. Also, the rate charged was competitive.

I worked with Roop Purewal on a lease transaction for a large orchard property. Roop knew the ins and outs of the transaction after review of the documents and helped the deal come to a successful close. In my book there are attorneys that make deals work and there are attorneys that hinder a deals progression. Roop is a meticulous deal maker. John was able to get the two insurance companies involved in our case to pay the maximum amount for the injuries my wife sustained in the accident she was involved in, where there were two negligent drivers at fault for the accident. He was extremely thoughtful, caring, and thorough in his handling of our case. He was even able to get me a settlement even though I was not involved directly in the accident, but was severely affected by the injuries my wife incurred due to the extenuating circumstances surrounding the accident. I have never met a more honest attorney than Leslie Arnal. She is reliable, conscious, and more fun than she looks.
