I was referred to Anjali by a good friend at a time when I was making a big change in my career. Unexpectedly I had legal issues involving my ability to obtain a job that had been in discussion for quite some time. I really needed assistance with my healthcare employment contract. I was very concerned that it would be difficult to find someone that I could trust and had the same urgency to help to relieve my anxiety as well as help to resolve my issues. Fortunately Anjali was as trust worthy as my friend who had made the recommendation. She spent a great deal of time discussing my case with me from the moment she learned of my situation. From that point on there never seemed to be any delay in a response to my questions or concerns. I believe because of her previous work experience and life contacts she was able to discuss things with individuals from my field of practice, while still keeping everything anonymous in my regards. Anjali Dooley is my attorney that I have known and trusted for several years. Matthew Radefeld is a skilled tactician. I brought him a 2 felony count case that carried a maximum penalty of 8 years in DOC. The case had various options for resolution however Matt held out and worked the file. After carefully navigating the complexity of the judicial system, and negotiations, we were able to come to an amicable disposition (no incarceration, no probation). My husband was facing 10 felony counts and we hired Matt and Joe immediately. I honestly thought life as we knew it was over. Matthew Radefeld is not only an amazing attorney but a kind and attentive person to his clients. He is keenly aware of the law and makes it his mission to be the most prepared person in the courtroom. He will make sure that there is nothing that comes up in court that he is not ready for and able to handle. When hired, his clients are his top priority and will always be available. Like some other large well publicized St Louis defense firms, you will not be passed off to the newest law clerk and he will not strong arm you into a plea deal just to get the easy money. After having a very negative experience with two attorneys previously, regarding a civil case my husband and I were involved in , I learned of Attorney Natalie Phillips, quite by accident.
Immediately upon meeting with Natalie, I could tell she was very different from the others. I was struck by how personable she is, as well as the way she intently listened to our issues and concerns, without making a snap judgment or jumping to conclusions. Often family law attorneys are overextended and commit to being hired by clients they know they aren’t a good fit for. Or allow themselves to be hired and when the case exceeds their expertise continue without bringing in others to the team that could best support their client.

We had a complicated child custody case involving divorce and third party custody of a minor child, and Mark and Cara absolutely delivered. They did exactly what they promised us they would do in our initial consultation. They were always patient, courteous and available. Like most custody cases, ours was extremely emotional and stressful, and on my day in front of the judge, I was a total nervous wreck. Having Cara and Mark standing with me made me feel more at ease, and was definitely a comfort. My only (tiny) compliant would be, I felt I had to chase after them a bit to stay informed about the status of my case. However, I can admittedly be a little obsessive and I am definitely a worrier, so I may have required more attention than usual. That being said, they always got back to me in a timely manner, and were very understanding. I would absolutely recommend Haefner Law Office to anyone looking for help with a custody case. They took us on without hesitation, even though we needed them to work miracles and do something they really had never done before.
