I recently moved out of my home after renting for 7 years after receiving a 60 day notice to terminate residency from the new property manager who never answered emergency calls, didn't show up for meetings, etc.. I called Mr. Hanley to see what exactly my rights were as a tenant and what to expect if i did not comply with 60 day notice. He explained to me very simply the laws and rules of tenancy and was brutally honest about what the consequences would be if an unlawful detainer was brought against me. He did this at no charge to me over the phone, wished me luck and offerred his services if I needed it.

Tracie handled my divorce and custody issues. She is very knowledgeable and professional in the courtroom, being very prepared for any direction the situation might go. Summer was instrumental in the purchase of a small CA Card Room in 2010. There were both local and government agencies (CA DOJ, CA Gaming Commission, City Counsel, ABC, Local Police Department, City Planning, etc) to work with to ensure a smooth transition for the purchase of the highly governed industry. The Purchase Contracts Summer put in place added extra protection from a seller that was not 100% forthcoming in financial obligations associated with the business. Although Summer was not initially up to speed on all the rules and regulations associated with CA Gaming Laws and purchasing and existing license, she was an expert in no time. With the help of Summer, we were approved in record time and our new business was up and running within 10 months (in a standard 18 month approval process).

I hired Daniel for a labor law case after speaking to several attorneys because he came across a knowledgeable, understanding, and professional attorney with experience in the field. I was hoping that my initial assessment was correct and though my case dragged on for a long time due to the court system, I was consistently surprised by his work ethics, always returning calls/email and keeping me in the loop even though I now live 3000 miles away in East Coast.

Where do I begin? I hired Lindsey to help me with child custody/child visitation and couldn't be happier with her services. She is an affordable family law attorney. We had the good fortune to be represented by Mr. Lee in a complex lawsuit involving a rogue neighbor and our road association. From the moment Mr. Lee was assigned to our case, we knew we were in good hands. His professionalism, vast experience and knowledge of the law along with his excellent communication skills were evident from our initial meeting. Given we had always resolved disagreements with our neighbors in a cordial fashion with simple communication and courtesy and had never been sued before, we were blindsided by the initial lawsuit. If mishandled by less-capable representation, we were concerned about hurting innocent neighbors and losing the good will we had acquired over our 22 years in our neighborhood. Mr. Lee, with his excellent knowledge of the law, professionalism and finesse, managed to take an otherwise stressful situation and turn it into manageable nuisance we trusted him to handle to its ultimate successful completion and our great satisfaction. His vast experience, perspective and kindness throughout, helped to reinforce our good standing in the neighborhood while defending us from a divisive neighbor who's intent was to win no matter the cost. I was injured in a motorcycle accident caused by an on-duty, undercover, San Jose police officer. The officer made an illegal left turn in front of my motorcycle. A police report and independent witnesses clearly showed the police officer was at fault noting there was nothing I could have done to avoid the accident. The City of San Jose denied my claim and, after negotiations, did not even offer enough money to cover my medical expenses.
Working with Jonathan, we took them to court to face a jury. The attorney for San Jose did his best to minimize my claims, my injuries and convince the jury I was partially to blame for the accident. The jury awarded me a large sum of money and, what was important to me, found the the accident was 100% the fault of the officer!
Jonathan is a true professional. The civil litigation process is long and difficult but Jonathan guided my wife and I through it. He took the time to explain every step along the way. If we did not understand some portion of the process he would put it in terms that were clearly understood. He was easy to talk to and answered all of our questions. He maintained a calm demeanor and interjected a sense of humor in a difficult process.
As part of his professional ways he was straightforward and honest. He went over the pros and cons of each decision we had to make during the course of civil litigation. He worked very hard, putting in long hours on our case. He clearly knows his business, working like a chess player, anticipating possible moves by the attorney for San Jose and the judge in the case.
We found the civil litigation process to be like a war with a series of battles. Some battles you win and some you lose. With a strategist like Jonathan we clearly won the war.

I had a good experience with Mr. Staskus. He actually has done more than a few cases for me. He was willing to reduce his fees had the outcome not been sufficient.
My biggest case with Mr. Staskus was for personal injury. Which had an excellent outcome. I didn't really want a lawyer, he said he was
confident he would get me around 30K, he actually got me 40K. I had a special circumstance that Mr. Staskus agreed to reduce his fees to help me out. It worked out for well.
In addition I had a girl I dated for a week, file a restraining order on me falsely, Mr. Staskus dropped everything and went down to defend me, He charged me pennies on the dollar. Compared to what another lawyer would have charged me.

We feel so grateful and lucky to find Justine Lescoart to help us on a dispute, which eventually developed into a legal suit against us with a contractor, who's very difficult and unreasonable to deal with. There are a lot of interactions between us and the contractor before we brought Justine on board and the issue was tricky. Damian has represented me on 2 very different cases. I find his writing to be superb, and since he used to have a law appearance business, he knows everyone down at the courthouse. Consequently, he often has a good feel for how a judge is going to decide on a particular motion.
One of my cases was a fairly routine car accident case (this was before he streamlined his practice to primarily civil litigation). He brought the matter to a swift conclusion, and I got a settlement check for my troubles.
The other case was a HUGE employment case with a Fortune 500 Company in Silicon Valley. While I cannot discuss the case details, I was very pleased with the outcome.
Damian is a master at finding obscure bits of law that other lawyers overlook. This, along with his brilliant writing, gives him an edge.
