I have hired Ferguson Law Group several times over the past 10 years, for tasks ranging from contract review, general estate planning consultations, to the preparation of my family's estate planning documents. Others that I have referred to Ferguson Law Group have engaged them for help with probate, tenants-in-common agreements, and trust and estate planning issues.
Adam and his associates have always provided expert advice for a reasonable fee. When I initially engaged with this practice I was looking for help with a trust and he tried to talk me into a (much less expensive) will because he didn't think I needed a trust at that time. I know that I can always trust Adam to provide me with the most cost effective solution.
I have also referred family members and many clients to Adam for assistance, and have always heard back that their experience was consistent with mine. I consider Adam and his team to be a valuable asset to myself, my family, and my tax firm.

Adam helped our mother set up her trust, though we had very little involvement during the process, when she passed away is was very apparent why she selected Adam as her attorney. She had numerous properties and complicated dealings, things she was passionate about but none of her children were. She knew this about us, and from our experience with Adam she made sure to convey to him exactly how she wanted things handled. It was easy for all of us, and if your personal goal is to show your family how much you care about them, hire Adam and his team. Thank you Adam, John and Janelle, you were wonderful.

​It all started back in December 2013 when I filed a Provisional Patent. I worked on the project and planned to file a Utility Patent before the Provisional Patent expired in December 2014. Due to the complexity and amount of work needed to file a Utility Patent and no prior experience, I started to look for someone who could help me complete the filing process. The cost of filing patent is generally very high for an individual inventor.
I read an article in San Jose Mercury news describing Lincoln Law School of San Jose that helps out people like me. I immediately contacted them and they accepted helping me out. I was in touch with an outstanding individual, Mr. Britten Sessions who undertook the responsibility of filing a Utility Patent on my behalf. The deadline for filing was almost on us and I had serious doubts if things could be done in a couple of weeks time. I was expecting that my Provisional Patent will expire and I shall have a new filing date with the Utility Patent.
To my surprise, Britten Session and his team pulled off the filing ON TIME, including digitally redrawing all my diagrams! Since then I have been in constant contact with Britten Sessions as the patent process has been progressing. The application got allowance in mid 2015, and a continuation of claims. The paperwork for both allowance and continuation of claims was done shortly afterwards. Now I am waiting for the final outcome!

Our real estate broker recommended Dave Hamerslough when the buyers of our house charged us with failing to disclose certain defects. The charge was baseless, but facing a lawsuit demanding an outrageous sum of money is unnerving nevertheless. We quickly learned Dave would give us the best possible defense. He was on top of the case - he had signed up the best expert witness before opposing counsel could pick up the phone. He was fast - he reads through a stack of documents in a flash. He was thorough - nothing escapes his attention, and it's the details buried in the evidence that can determine the outcome. He knows the law cold. He is sensitive to the cost and delegates tasks like typing emails to his very capable assistant . He carefully explained the issues and answers questions fully.

My now husband and I were in need of an attorney that could help us with a pre-nupt before our wedding date. We called many family lawyers in the region that either didn't do pre-nupts anymore or didn't want to make the time to help us. We only had three weeks to make it happen and we didn't know there was also a 7-day required waiting period for the State of CA. I recently moved out of my home after renting for 7 years after receiving a 60 day notice to terminate residency from the new property manager who never answered emergency calls, didn't show up for meetings, etc.. I called Mr. Hanley to see what exactly my rights were as a tenant and what to expect if i did not comply with 60 day notice. He explained to me very simply the laws and rules of tenancy and was brutally honest about what the consequences would be if an unlawful detainer was brought against me. He did this at no charge to me over the phone, wished me luck and offerred his services if I needed it.

When i met Christopher Montoya I was incarcerated in the Santa clara county department of corrections and looking at a 3 strikes case where my maxium exposure wouod have been 30 years to lofe sentence if convicted. I had just been release from prison 13 days prior (I recieved 2 strikes on that case) to being charged with a new case in which i was looking at an additional 4 strikes and my sense of hope was only shared by one other person and that was Chris Montoya. I knew my case was a clear cut self denfese case as I was defending my family, my home and our property against 2 men however i knew that with my record, the fact i had just been relased from prison, and just cumulatively that the facts of the case were not going to be on my side was discouraging. Almost every laywer i spoke to told me that ny chances were not terrible, but they were definitely not good. Chris Montoya was always straight forward with me and professional, he never gave me any false hope, but instead was always adamant about the facts, giving me realistic advice about my case and was always logical in his observations of the case. Sometimes i wondered if chris ever slept becuase it seemed like he worked day and night non- stop on my case even though i knew he had other cases and a huge work load. The level of.professionalism he conducted himself worh was truly inspiring along side his tenacious attitude about his approach on dealing with the minutiae details surronding my case. Agaisnt his advice I decided to take my case to speedy trial and throughout the entire pricess whether it was the prelims, bail motions or trial readiness, Chris was always prepared and seemed to know every detail about those appearances and always let me know what i could expect. Chris spent many hours off the clock coming to visit with me at the jail to give me updates, to go over the facts, to let me know what his investigators were finding and giving me realistic faith that our case was getting stronger and that He would be ready to put on the fight of a lifetime to literally save my life. There were times i thought about getting a private attorney because there was so much on the line for me, if I lost this Trial i would spend the rest of my life in prison and i was only 34 years old at the time. It was something about the look in his eyes, his approach, his confindence in himself that made me feel Chris was the man for the job, so i wrnt with my gut and trusted him to fight for my life and i was right, He was. When i came time for trial, i had 2 witnesses against me alongside police testimony and a lengthy criminal history which none of these were going to be favorable for me winning my case. All i had was chris and even though i didnt want to testify Chris urged me to as he explained to me that this would be my best chance to win my trial. I trusted Chris and we spent countless hours working together on my testimony and he and i went to trial with all the odds stacked against us. Despite these glaring issues, Chris was prepared and every detail of the case was meticulously combed through by chris, from the jury selection, thr voir diers, the inlimes, and of the course Chris shinned with his experience as an attorney in the cross examinations, bringing to life crucial facts that stregthened our case. When it came time for me to tale the stand and fight for my life, I put my faith in GOD and i believed in chris so i told my story truthfully and with Chris in my corner i knew that I would be heard. As the closing arguments proceeded Chris illuminated the room with his natural charisma, but what stood out more was his passion and quest to tell my story, the truth. You could tell that Chris was born to do this for a living, to defens those who can not defend themselves. As the trial came to a close, the jury was unable to reach a unamious verdict, but instead the jury was hung 10-2 on one count and 9-3 in another in favor of not guilty. I was relased the follwing court date.

Summer was instrumental in the purchase of a small CA Card Room in 2010. There were both local and government agencies (CA DOJ, CA Gaming Commission, City Counsel, ABC, Local Police Department, City Planning, etc) to work with to ensure a smooth transition for the purchase of the highly governed industry. The Purchase Contracts Summer put in place added extra protection from a seller that was not 100% forthcoming in financial obligations associated with the business. Although Summer was not initially up to speed on all the rules and regulations associated with CA Gaming Laws and purchasing and existing license, she was an expert in no time. Where do I begin? I hired Lindsey to help me with child custody/child visitation and couldn't be happier with her services. She is an affordable family law attorney.
