In first consultation, Richard took time to understand our situation and willing to answer our concerns and questions. I knew we found the right person. Instead of glory promises, he told us the reality possible outcomes. Rather than guessing our next step in this unfamiliar legal system, Richard would check with us and provided good advice with quick response. He followed through and got us periodic update. It really helped me to calm down. I will definitely recommend him.

My partner and I dropped in to Mr. Wingerden's office this week while seeking counsel for my partner's criminal case. Long story short the SCC sheriff unlawfully arrested my partner (who is a retired criminal) & falsified the police report - quite poorly as a matter of fact (I give him an "F" for effort...) The public defender neither followed up with us nor provided the discovery we on several occasions requested, so 2 days before court we were extremely desperate after leaving the Public Pretender's office as (again) he was nowhere to be found. We dropped by Richard's office where we just so happened to catch him. He wasn't working that day but had stopped by the office briefly. I informed him that we had legal coverage through ARAG offered by my employer, and was hoping he could assist us considering he is a ARAG network attorney. Unfortunately, Richard doesn't handle criminal cases via ARAG anymore (only Family & Estate) but he sat down with us for an hour or so and did a free consultation. He listened patiently and even took notes as my partner recalled the events and facts surrounding his case, and as we voiced our concerns/frustrations. Richard was very easy to talk to and has a personality that makes you feel like you're talking to a friend. I really wanted to sign him on to help us fight our case despite the fact ARAG would not cover it. I explained that I would be getting a large tax return any day now, and would spend it all on him and pay the rest out of pocket. Other attorneys (like the one I hired years ago for a DUI case) would tell me to sign on the dotted line and not think twice about it. Not Richard - he said that he didn't feel that is was right to let us hire him since our financial situation is already a challenge, and he didn't want to take all our money. His compassion extended even further when he told us that despite this, we could call him should we have any questions or need advice at any point in the future for this case or anything else. He did give us some solid advice, which I then did utilize when the Public Pretender called our name 5 minutes before court. I reiterated what Richard had advised, and when my partner was called in front of the judge that day the PD requested a motion that we be presented with the officer's body cam footage. The prosecutor objected, and although the PD could barely fumble a plausible explanation as to why we needed the body cam footage (because you know...who needs all the evidence in a felony matter anyways, right??? Cops NEVER lie!) the judge ultimately granted the motion to get us that footage. Without telling the PD the points Richard advised, he definitely would not have successfully filed this motion and perhaps wouldn't have even tried. If I ever require legal counsel for Family or Estate litigation I will 100% without a doubt give Richard Wingerden a call. THANK YOU RICHARD, don't stop being A ROCKSTAR with a BIG HEART.

I was so impressed by the breadth and depth of his knowledge in complex divorce issues that I decided to meet him in his office to discuss my case face to face. I hired Mark several years ago. My process involved important property and child custody issues. I was in a vehicle accident where the defendant drove his vehicle into the back of mine. The attorneys I contacted wouldn’t represent me because my vehicle wasn’t’ crushed in the accident and I wasn’t’ in a body cast. No attorney would take my case. Except for James C. Suits II. Diego was very calm when handling a case for one of my family members. He was very upfront on what to expect in terms of outcomes and provided the right advice based on his many years of experience that helped my family member get a dismissal with the DA by positioning the case properly and showing evidence that showed my family member was remorseful by submitting evidence of a voluntary class participation, and a letter from the psychologist.

Mr. Diego Macwilliam for me was the right lawyer, at the right time, for my particular situation. He contacted both a government agency and a private company regarding a potential fraud inditement involving me and my families estate concerning overpayment of funds. Without his experience and guidance I personally would have not been able to come to a solution for the two outside parties involved and myself. He made contacts with the two different entities and got them to provide physical representatives to conclude the transactions. Mr. Diego Macwilliam explained each step of the way clearly and provided me with a time table. He made it possible for me to finalize the entire issue and he brought it to a defused equitable solution.

I have been with Ms. Hubbell as my family attorney since November 2003 up to present. Ms. Hubbell is an ethical attorney who responds to my concerns and needs very promptly and effectively, especially during crises. My case consisted of complicated asset division and long, bitter custodial battle. During one court date, Ms. Hubbell was very compelling in every stage. Because of her effectiveness, I had a favorable outcome for the case, which included having the other party pay for my attorney fee. I was fortunate to have Ms. Hubbell, a good communicator who strives for the best results for her client, represent my case. Overall, I am very happy with her work and her care. Karen Hubbell provided my husband and I with excellent legal support in finalizing some lingering issues from his previous marriage. I wish he had gone to Karen from the beginning, instead of using a mediator. So many people wanting an amicable divorce shy away from hiring a lawyer, fearing that it will lead to a court battle or cost a ton of money. However, when you have financial entanglements and children involved, it is imperative to seek help from a lawyer who knows the ins and outs of the legal system and can get it done right - the first time around. We found Karen to be very straightforward and understanding of the approach we wanted to take in getting matters resolved. With her help, we were able to finally lay to rest the custody schedule and financial issues that had been dragging on unresolved for three years after his divorce. I have been so privileged having Jerome Mullins as my attorney, I was fortunate enough to get a referral from several other attorneys to him and he has been 100% positive and helpful since our first meeting. He knows exactly what he’s doing and has a good plan on how to get there, he doesn’t beat around the bush. Very professional. Very open and friendly. Provided me with his cell phone so if I had questions I could contact him anytime. At first I wasn't sure with Jerry because he was in the Bay Area and I am in the valley. Didn't know if he would take my case. However, after speaking with him on the phone I knew I found the right attorney. He explained the entire process, what would be needed and what to expect. Seldom did I have any surprises. We gathered information and statements. Jerry put everything together and setup the first court hearing. He was successful in helping me get my 1203.4 (Dismissal). Next we moved on to the Certificate of Rehabilitation. He appeared with me at my interview and several continuations waiting for the DA to finish their report. The day finally came on November 18. My COR was submitted and approved by the judge. With that I was also cleared from the 290 Registration List. It was a long process, but well worth it. I would highly recommend Mr. Mullins to anyone looking for an expert in clearing your record. He is highly knowledgeable, helpful and has your best interests in mind. Thank you Mr. Mullins

In 2000 I was convicted of a very serious felony drug charge. I was 20 years old. I came from a good home, graduated high school early and made great achievements in sports. I started to hang out with the wrong crowd, which eventually led me to be in a horrible drug charged relationship. I got my life back together, graduated college and went back into sports. However, everywhere I went this felony affected my life. It was hard to get a good job. Interviewers were interested in me, but as soon as they found out I had a felony I could see it in their eyes and body language…disappointment. I continually felt guilt and shame throughout my life, when all I was trying to do is be a better person. Then I met Mr. Mullins; he was confident in the fact that even though I had a serious drug charge it would be possible for me to have my full rights back. My journey was not easy, I had to put my heart and soul on paper and discuss what I did, and who I have become. We went through all the steps of receiving a Certification of Rehabilitation and then submitting that for a Governor’s pardon. Mr. Mullins knew all the steps that needed to be taken, and how it needed to be presented. He has a system of how things should be done and presented, and with his guidance and hard work I was granted a full and unconditional Governor’s Pardon within a year and a half’s time from start to finish. Most people wait YEARS to receive a pardon! Mr. Mullins will get you through this tough journey with patience and understanding. I am so happy that I found him and that I have my life back. I am like Pinocchio; I am a real person again. I have my rights back, I have my life back and most importantly I feel whole!

I had an issue with a real estate property that went sour. I called Jason based on recommendations and he was very understanding, and responsive to my needs. We met that afternoon and outlined a plan of action and he immediately contacted the other attorney to discuss my case. It was a pleasure working with Cameron. Before hiring him, I called around to 10 different attorneys and got the run around. Most didn't answer their phone or have time to talk with me since it was a Friday afternoon, others told me "Please bring in a $5,000 retainer and then we'll talk." Finally, I came across Cameron Day. He actually answered his phone (the only attorney out of 10) and made time to talk with me and answer my questions right then and there. He also scheduled for us to meet on the following Monday, and after meeting with Cameron I was sure he is the person that I want on my side as I go through this financially and emotionally stressful phase of my life i.e. child support and child custody. Kate is patient, kind and sees the big picture when all you can see is red. To say I was a difficult client and that my ex-husband was a nightmare is a huge understatement. Kate held my hand, worked with me through all my breakdowns, and ultimately got me what I needed. Kate was absolutely amazing. My ex husband became very controlling and inflexible in every way. He tried to bully and scare me into agreeing to what he wanted and once I had Kate on my team the tide turned. She showed me the utmost respect and made a very difficult situation much easier. Kate handled my custody and support agreements. She was super pro-active from the very start and always prompt, thorough, and clear in her communications with me and with the opposing council. Her background as a district attorney made her unflappable and extremely effective during our court appearance no matter how unpleasant or aggressive opposing council became. Beyond that, Kate took the time to really get to know me and my situation and made sure that what was most important to me became most important to her as she crafted and reviewed agreements and caught potential long-term loopholes due to loose wording, etc. My case took less than a year and I feel like not only were custody and financial agreements been put in place, I feel like there are long term protections in place for me and my child that may have been missed had Kate not been meticulous in her work. One other thing I appreciated about Kate was that she was very direct about what my chances were on various demands and focused me on what was attainable and worth fighting for and kept me away from demands that would prolong the case but have low chance of positive outcome. Very happy with where I ended up.

Kevin is incredibly knowledgable and smart, and he is one of the very few lawyers who can handle high-conflict trial cases well. He is never afraid of litigation and will maximize your chance of winning. He won the restraining order against me in multiday trial. The opposing attorney is highly competitive, and I can see both him and the judge respect Kevin highly for his knowledge of law and litigation skills. He also got what I want for support and custody issues. Yes he is expensive, but he uses my money very efficiently. I highly recommend Kevin for any family cases.

Kevin was recommended to me by my uncle and was at first reluctant about changing my lawyer. What has impressed me about Kevin is that he is honest and efficient in tackling the various roadblocks that have come up in my case. Whenever I would present a difficulty or question, he would clearly present to me my options. In addition, he has always had my financial situation and my personal wishes in mind. My first attorney did not do good job that make me suffering and dragging my case. Instead, Arthur has very good knowledge that helped me a lot. He always explains in very efficient, patient, and clear way that I can understand what my next step is. My case is relatively complicated but Arthur is always responsive and supporting me fully. He is very practical and realistic and easy to communicate that really make my life easier especially in such complicated case. Even though my case is not easy to close and takes time, he is always patience and try to save my money. He is really a nice attorney so I would highly recommend him to my friends.

I hired Arthur for an uncontested divorce. His fees were much lower than another attorney I interviewed. He is friendly and easy to talk to and at times would remind me that he would have to charge me for certain tasks that I could do myself and for other time spent not covered under the original quote. He is very responsive and checked up on me when things were stalled (with my spouse). I communicated with him via phone and mostly email which was very convenient. His advice was practical and realistic, not trying to get more money from my spouse for little things which would've costed me more in fees. I would definitely recommend him for an uncontested divorce.

I was arrested for concealed carry charges and Don did a wonderful job to help me get the best deal. I was going to be convicted of felony in Santa Clara county. Don spoke with the DA and I recieved a deal on my first court date. I was originally going to get a felony but it was reduced to a misdemeanor with court probation for two years and no weapons for 5. He still helps me to this day with anything and everything pertaining to my case. I am in the process of getting my record cleared. If your having trouble with any gun related offenses I would give his office a call. He's just an all around great lawyer.

I called Bob regarding a question I had about a contract I was being asked to sign by a literary agency. He had me email him the form right then and there, and went through everything with me over the phone (even though he was on his way out the door for lunch!) I worked with Andrew on a case for a good 18 months. After working with him for extended period of time, I have a very clear idea about Andrew and here is a summary of what I found: 1) Extremely strong lawyer: his work including is simply unbelievable; to say the least. He is very knowledgably about everything has to do with law and legal matters. He never failed to impress me every time he drafts some paperwork and never failed to impress me on phone calls. The advice you get from Andrew are extremely valuable. 2) Very honest person: Andrew’s is extremely honest and he never ever tried to do work (like many other lawyers) that has little value to me even though he could benefit from it. He was always putting my interests before his interests, and this happened in dozens of scenarios. 3) Unbelievable writing skills: it is well-known that lawyers’ writings and choice of words are excellent, but Andrew is at a different level. I was employed for many companies in the last 10 years and I worked with many lawyers on various contracts. Andrew is way better than anyone I worked with by a massive margin. 4) Hardworking: he is always available, and always respond within a very short period of time. He replies to emails after hours, and even after midnight. 5) Very nice person: I met Andrew couple of times in person and I had a great time with him. This is a person you would live to spend time with, and you would definitely like to work with him on anything. 6) Very smart: he is very intelligent, and has a wide understanding of modern technologies. I have met lawyers that you need to explain to them terms from my industry. In Andrew’s case, he was so aware of our industry thoroughly and we did not need to spend time to educate him on anything. I filed a lawsuit against my neighbors for riding motorcycles next to my horse boarding facility and blocking the access to my facility with large farm vehicles. The goal was to obtain a prescribed easement and an injunction prohibiting motorbike riding next to my property. The case lasted 3 years and included mediation, several settlement conferences, depositions, 4 separate trial preps and a 2 week jury trial. I had the opportunity of working with Laurel throughout my case and at all times I felt that I was in the presence of a respectful professional that knew the law and how to present it. During the trial I witnessed Laurel putting her heart and soul into her efforts to help me prevail. We did get the easement and injunction. Laurel represented us in a recent real estate disclosure case and overall was wonderful to work with--thoughtful, very well-prepared, and most importantly, calm and confident.
