Sarju Naran represented me and my company in a lawsuit brought by an employee for wrongful termination. I found Mr. Naran by reviewing the profiles of nearly every employment law attorney in the San Jose area. This review, when combined with an excellent introductory meeting, and when taking into consideration my previously favorable experience with Hoge Fenton Jones & Appel on another unrelated matter, made choosing Mr. Naran to represent me an easy decision, one that I do not regret at all.
In our first meeting, he developed a strategy that turned out to be brilliant, saving me tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars and many months if not years of time.
He stayed on budget, strategized on ways to keep the costs down, communicated promptly and efficiently, and he listened carefully to me.
I was particularly impressed with a side of him I did not expect to see in my attorney: he was an investigator. He left no stone unturned to independently discover the facts. Within a couple of weeks he knew more about my former employee and his past deviant history than I could believe. He also came to my office and personally uncovered hours of inappropriate computer use by my former employee and he personally interviewed my staff. It was extremely satisfying to witness Mr. Naran investigate the facts and circumstances of the lawsuit and to discover the truth on his own.
Litigation is emotionally difficult to say the least. Mr. Naran helped in this area too by helping me to focus on doing my job while he did his job. Two other Hoge Fenton attorneys also worked on my case, Barbara Spector and Jenn Protas. Together, they formed a cohesive team that attended to every aspect of the lawsuit, including working with my insurance companies to secure coverage for the legal expenses.
The entire experience, while unpleasant by its very nature, was nevertheless completely satisfying. I do not believe I could have had any better representation. I am pleased beyond any expectation I had. I enthusiastically without reservation recommend Sarju Naran.

It all started back in December 2013 when I filed a Provisional Patent. I worked on the project and planned to file a Utility Patent before the Provisional Patent expired in December 2014. Due to the complexity and amount of work needed to file a Utility Patent and no prior experience, I started to look for someone who could help me complete the filing process. The cost of filing patent is generally very high for an individual inventor.
I read an article in San Jose Mercury news describing Lincoln Law School of San Jose that helps out people like me. I immediately contacted them and they accepted helping me out. I was in touch with an outstanding individual, Mr. Britten Sessions who undertook the responsibility of filing a Utility Patent on my behalf. The deadline for filing was almost on us and I had serious doubts if things could be done in a couple of weeks time. I was expecting that my Provisional Patent will expire and I shall have a new filing date with the Utility Patent.
To my surprise, Britten Session and his team pulled off the filing ON TIME, including digitally redrawing all my diagrams! Since then I have been in constant contact with Britten Sessions as the patent process has been progressing. The application got allowance in mid 2015, and a continuation of claims. The paperwork for both allowance and continuation of claims was done shortly afterwards. Now I am waiting for the final outcome!
