This attorney was one of the most amazing attorneys I have yet to see. She fought in court with all that she was. I had not much experience with Family Court until I had my son and I was so scared and she always knew what to say. I only spoke once to Michelle and she seemed to be friendly and professional. I dealt with the Cambridge office and right from the beginning I did not feel real comfortable, it started with”oh, it is one of those sales”, as my brother and I live outside of NY. Then as time went on I feel I was given wrong information i.e., you can’t turn the electric off because the new owner has to have electric when they move in. Thought that was strange, but hey I live in PA not NY, then the electric company told me different. At least the sale is done.

Engaged Mr. Gottman to represent a somewhat small matter but we found he did not do the tasks he agreed to do nor did he attend meetings he had agreed to attend. He never updated us and left us in the dark. He was very aggressive when we expressed our concerns. We do not recommend him. I guess that unfortunately, a higher paying legal engagement might result in better service.

Do your homework first. Read the reviews and more important the news article from January 2015. I had already hired and paid him but I figure everybody deserves a second chance. Mine was a simple case but when I told him I wanted a second opinion on his recommendation he blew up on me saying how cheap I was getting off and that he had been a lawyer for 37 years. Just like any profession, just because you've been doing the same job for 37 years doesn't mean your good at it. Handling traffic tickets and ACOD's doesn't mean your a good lawyer. He never asked many details about the case and if I didn't contact him a few days before court I wonder if he would've contacted me at all. He didn't do well at all of keeping me informed. I should've listened to the guy that said "run." Worse lawyer I ever done business with!

Donna was retained and paid for 16 months on my divorce case. She repeatedly told me after i had paid her 75k, that she didn't want to represent me but refused to tell me why and threatened that if i didn't sign a release we would write letter to the judge
"that wouldn't be good for me." 6 months and another 50k later she did apply to the court to be dismissed despite the fact that she had no legitimate grounds. She was my second lawyer and i felt that my hands were tied. She refused to even let me sign a proposal that was offered and refused to put anything that i wanted to offer on the table. She writes a lot or repititious and epic documents instead of verbally negotiating. She lies and exaggerates.. that was my experience. she refused to communicate or send documents to me for the last 2 months of the case but charged me 20k for the last month alone. I am going to go to the board of ethics. I am lucky that i survived. i got divorced thru my friends lawyer in 45 minutes after having paid her over 125K. She is dangerous and will drain all of your money.

I hired Donna Wardlaw to represent me in a divorce action. She was very unprofessional and charged me outrageous sums of money. I had to file bankruptcy because of her fees. She tried to control an inheritance I received during this time. I told her that I wouldn't agree to it. We had many clashes, and she acted very unprofessional towards me, berated me about my performance at a deposition, and talked down to me. I would not recommend her to anyone. I paid in excess of $50k for a divorce that my new lawyers, after I fired her, informed me would normally have been a third of what I paid to her if I had gone elsewhere.
