This attorney Lisa is so unprofessional…. she emailed me telling me the other party on my case retained her and even though I gave her my attorneys information she continued to email me when I told her to stop emailing me and contact my attorney. I also had a phone conversation with her, and she told me that I was not being truthful about the things I was saying about my case which was very unethical. She does not know me from a hole in the wall, but was very judgmental. I’m in the process of filing a complaint with the board.

John Nicholson never should have taken my case, Mr Nicholson was recommended to me by a casual friend, it was a simple probate, he took over 4 years to barely complete it, he didn't know what he was doing and didn't text or use Email, which I found highly unusual, he had excuses for everything, maybe he's done great work for someone else, but certainly not for me, at the end of the day , I hired him, so I messed up, but like I said, he never, ever should have taken my case !

I have nothing but good to say about John F. Nicholson and the Services he has provided to me since MAR2015 and still does. He took on a very messy ongoing Divorce Case for me and has provided nothing but honest and realistic guidance, advise, and hard work in trying to get my case "cleaned up" and turned around. He has even provided me with unrelated legal business advise at no cost in the process. Attorney billings are notoriously high, but John F. Nicholson is the first Attorney I have dealt with, where the cost very reasonably reflect the work and long hours he has put into my case - Do I like to pay : NO - but I put my self in this situation, and he promised to assist me, and he has, so I actually don't feel too bad about paying his Invoices - I just wish I had met him earlier on, maybe if I had my mess would have been less of a mess !
John f. Nicholson is, by my standards, a good, old school, Attorney, hard working, not afraid of digging in and getting it done, is fair towards his clients, to the case, and towards the opponents (whether they believe so or not), and he will tell it to you as it is. I hope I wont need his services again in the future, but if I do, I will for sure contact John immediately !

I would not recommend Andrew Wyatt. Do not hire this man. Andrew Wyatt is a con man and disgrace to the legal profession. The only time he was nice when he wanted me to pay him the huge retainer amount of $8000, he demanded. He made promises that he would work hard on my case, and he is accepting my case because it's a strong case. Once I paid the retainer, he showed me his true colors. He made no efforts to work on my case except doing copy paste of the claims. Andrew misrepresented me in the court filings and even supported the opposing party to file sanctions against me based on misinformation his was spreading. Each time I asked Andrew about my case update he would either ignore and/or use unprofessional and disrespectful language to insult me. Andrew is just a petty thief who stole my hard-earned money with no intention of working on my case. Andrew even took bribe from the opposing party/double-dipping to not work on my case and withhold case information from me. This man just steals retainers from his clients and runs. Unfortunately, I didn't see other negative reviews before hiring this man. All the good reviews you see are fake reviews from Andrew's equity partners and friends.

I first met Rosemary Ward in March of 2012 in LAUSD's teacher jail. She offered me a free consultation and looked at my paper work. She represented me in March 18, 2012 when I was charged with four causes for dismissal, one unsatisfactory service act, and six charges. Later on, my six charges grew to twenty charges.
She was there for me when I needed her the most.
Going through litigation against LAUSD was/is stressful, anxiety producing and it put myself and my family through hell. We appealed the District's dismissal and we had our OAH trial in mid-November of 2013. We prevailed at the OAH and LAUSD appealed the OAH's decision.
Rosemary knows these court systems. She knows the judges and attorneys who work at the OAH and in the writ department at the Superior Court of Los Angeles County as well. She is very experienced in administrative law and in representing teachers against school districts.
I learned a lot from Rosemary and she is dedicated, hard-working and very passionate about winning and getting her client the best possible outcome. Rosemary was successful in getting me reinstated with LAUSD in March of 2015 after I was unemployed for 13 months. That was huge!
Rosemary really cares about her clients and collaborates with other attorneys because she checks and double checks her work and she likes to get a second opinion just in case she misses something. Rosemary was a teacher and she likes to work collaboratively with her colleagues. Information in these teacher dismissal cases is invaluable. The ins and outs of the court systems are tricky and two heads are better than one, three heads are better than two, etc.
Rosemary knows what she is doing, and guess what, she gets stressed out too. Rosemary is very competitive. She may come across as aggressive, abrasive and negative, which can be intimidating, but those are the exact traits an attorney needs to have when going up against a school district such as LAUSD. So, as a client, you need to be smart and see the big picture and understand the seven laws of nature.
In summary, we won in the Superior Court, and LAUSD has decided that they are not going to appeal our case. Until I see that in writing, LAUSD may change their minds and pursue an appeal despite the fact that our judge wrote a 21 page tentative decision. LAUSD has no legal grounds to pursue the appeal to the Appellate level and they know that.
Rosemary has the experience, legal knowledge and wherewithall to see a case through. Take my advice: if you find yourself in a legal bind, I highly recommend Rosemary as your attorney and legal counsel. She also has experience in criminal law, family practice law, as well as school law. Don't listen to what other people tell you. Do your research and see for yourself. That's what I did and we won!

I sought legal help regarding education issues and was referred to Ms. Ward through an associate. At first Ms. Ward was very responsive, and adequately provided legal support, more or less 'baiting' me in. As the process moved forward, coming closer to trial, she became verbally abusive and threatened to withdraw from the case when I challenged her billing statements, claiming she was 'padding' the bill, which I found to be unsubstantiated and in some instances, fabricated at the last minute. Simply, Ms. Ward is very adept at using threatening intimidation at the most opportune times, as a means to 'drain' more monies the closer we came to trial. She lied to me on many occasions, making many false statements about her fees, further procedures she would address, ie; appeals, motions, etc., overcharging and using fellow 'associate' attorney's as a so called 'team', which only kept her in the 'loop' with these so-called professionals. I refer to them as 'vampires'! Ms. Ward is regarded, by many educators I have spoken with, as an ambulance chaser, actually going into Administrative offices under the guise of consulting with a client, only to make herself available to other educators who may need representation. When asked to put her claims/statements 'in writing', she immediately refused, denying she ever made the statements, then threatening to remove herself from the case.
I can go on and on about the unprofessionalisms, intimidations, and the actions bordering on criminal behavior, but by now, you probably get the picture. Stay as far away from her and her 'associates' as you can, unless you don't mind throwing your money away and getting abused in the process.

Terry charges $500 and hour. He blew through my $5,000 retainer quickly. I never received one invoice in the mail.
In fact, I never met this man except for we had a conversation over the phone and I trusted him. He didn't do much to help my case except for he went and filed a document at court.
After several months, I decided to meet Terry in person because at that point we were getting close to mediation and something didn't sit well with me because the last conversation we had he demanded another $5,000 retainer if not he didn't want to speak to me and hung up the phone. That did not sit well with me!! At that point I was contemplating whether or not I wanted to continue to keep him as my attorney .
Well my intuition was spot on the whole time he kept on looking at his watch. I thought that he was so rude and unprofessional this man already blew through $5,000 for a set of paperwork and a ton of emails and here's the kicker he ended up charging me $450 for meeting him who does that?? I feel that Terry totally took advantage of me and I've learned a lot along the way that will never happen again!!
Rule #1 never do a consultation over the phone always meet the person face-to-face.
I was told by a couple other attorneys that the little amount of work that Terry did was not much. I basically got ripped off.
At that point I knew I needed to cut my losses and move on.
I finally came across a great attorney named William (Bill) Koehler $310 an hour very knowledgeable, professional, assertive and most importantly HONEST! Did I mention he's also the mayor of Agoura. Yup, that''s right Bill really knows his stuff. You definitely want him in your corner. At the end of this whole nightmare I ended up winning my case with Bill.
