I was a 31 year firefighter with VCFD. I had numerous on the job injuries, the worst were cumulative trauma to my back. Trying to use the county’s work comp system was most often slow, unpleasant and a waste of time. Thanks to Mr. Sherwin, I was able to get through the process and receive treatment. By the time I was reaching the end of my career, Mr. Wicke was able to deal with the county’s attorneys and bureaucratic nonsense. In the end, I received a deserved medical retirement.
Unfortunately, I still have unresolved medical issues. Mr Sherwin was able to again deal with the Sedgwick (workers comp) and get all my issues settled. In this way I never had to go through the county again and can seek my own treatment through my insurance. This process is much quicker. Days instead of months. There is no way in Ventura County to manage this process without this great team of lawyers.

I Called their office for a paid consultation because I saw a video of Walzer talking about gambling community assets, and the receptionist was very unprofessional the first time we spoke she didn’t even take down the respondent name just he’s attorneys firm and calls me back says they are busy can’t take on any more cases. And I asked are all the attorneys in this firm busy and can’t consult and she said yes and refer me some local websites, I asked her what information did she take down when I first called she said just the respondent attorney law firm and the issues regarding gambling community assets. I never heard of a law firm that have few partners and attorneys say they are all busy and can’t take on any more cases. If that’s the case your website should say not accepting new clients, they should have probably google their client before acting so nonchalant and unprofessional. I don’t see how this firm is beneficial to any public figure, based my interactions with their receptionist this firm is cold and rude.

The most stressful time of my life was filing for divorce. Joy and her team helped me through this excruciating process, answered all my questions, and provided relevant advice and direction on what to do and what NOT to do. My accountant referred Stella stating she had a very calming demeanor and he was confident she would be a positive spirit to help me through the difficult times I was going through. From the first phone call, I was CRAZY ABOUT HER!!!
Stella worked diligently on my case; she left no stone unturned and in my personal opinion (I've never filed bankruptcy before) she went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was treated fairly. She took the stress away due to calls from creditors by absorbing all negative communication on my behalf; accepted documents at all times of the night or day and was there for me during a couple of tearful days when I just felt overwhelmed dealing with the bankruptcy, business failure, and my mom's medical diagnosis.
One significant thing I want to mention - there was a lien on my property and out of nowhere, Stella remembered and filed a motion to make sure it was addressed before the charge off which saved me from possibly paying a company nearly 30K!!! I still don't know how she remembered such an isolated detail but thank God She Did!!!
When my bankruptcy was charged off, I was actually sad because that meant I wasn't going to hear from Stella again....but I still email her monthly just to stay in touch because at the end of the day, she gave me a fresh financial start and I owe my new clean financial status to her!

I had a great experience with this firm! I received multiple burns on my face after a visit to a beauty salon and was having such a hard time finding treatment.
