This firm and Mrs. Rymuts actions were egregious, It can’t be overstated to caution yourself before retaining her services. I retained her and paid for a one hour consultation where I specifically laid out details about my case regarding child support where the father was hiding his address to avoid being served court papers. She told me she could take the case, get a private investigator and we could get him served. Except all she did was take over $5,000 of my money, only in the end to tell me she couldn’t help me because she couldn’t serve him the court papers: I was up front about not having his information or his address, she over promised and under delivered. I was charged for every email, phone call, etc. and yielded no results at all. At any point she could have stopped dragging on the case and charging me when she knew that we couldn’t do anything about the situation but she chose to drag it on to continue to get paid. She took thousands of dollars from a single mom when she knew from the start as the legal expert that she couldn’t help me. It did not take $5,000+ and 4 months to tell me what I had led with in our initial conversation. There is no empathy, no respect and no integrity and for that alone I would recommend you to go to literally anyone else. There are far too many attorneys available to go with this firm.

Donna is literally the worst lawyer I've come across. She was very friendly with opposing counsel (nicknames, etc) and let my ex's attorney run the show. Donna was condescenging and rude often cutting me off and nearly yelling at me. She is very disorganized and an awful communicator. She went weeks without answering my emails and then blamed me when I didn't have paperwork ready never acknowledging that she never told me I was supposed to have it. I fired Donna after 5 months because she was just an empty suit but had no fight in her. She was lazy and incompetent. If you think divorce and/or custody is stressful, hire Donna and you'll find out how much worse she can make it.

I was referred to Donna Polinske after a call to Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance regarding a family matter. At the consultation, she was stern and to the point. I had a hard time keeping my mouth shut. Once I did, Donna set forth a strategy to have my case dismissed. I hired her and can honestly say that I'm glad I did. Kyle took my case over when at Anderson and Associates in 2020. It was an absolute mess. He didn’t let that stop him and worked through what I thought was a battle I would lose completely. He made me feel like I could win a fair divorce and made sure I would be apart of my children’s lives. When he transitioned to another law firm I did not hesitate to transition with him. While their were many challenges Kyle explained everything to me and walked me through choices and options especially when it came to parenting time and what going through a long trail would not only look like but the expense and the overall trauma it could leave on my children.
I had 3 major issues with child support through the change of jobs and issues with HFS. Kyle worked diligently to help me rectify these issues quickly fairly.
I have recommended Kyle to others and will continue to do so. I have spent the last 4 years with Kyle and will always go back to him when it comes to any of my family divorce issues or family matters.
On a personal note Kyle is the lawyer I should have started with. I feel that my divorce might not have taken and cost as much as it did if he was my lawyer from the start. After my dad passed away in April 2024, my mom and I filed for Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) through the VA. Despite working with a VA liaison and following up for 10 months, we received no real updates—just that the claim was still pending. Then, my mom received a notice from the VA, which she mistakenly believed was a denial of the DIC claim. Unfortunately, even the local VA liaison misinterpreted it, causing a lot of confusion. Given that my dad’s passing was clearly linked to his disability, we realized we needed legal representation and turned to James Comerford.
From our first conversation, James took the time to listen, understand our situation, and guide us through the process. Initially, we thought we needed to file a rebuttal, but after investigating, he discovered the VA had actually misinformed us—the claim was still being processed. He assured us he would follow up, and shortly after, he called with the great news: the claim had been approved. Not only did he get us answers, but he also knew exactly when my mom would receive her benefits, including back pay.
When I asked James what we owed him, he refused payment—he was simply happy my mom received what she deserved. Even after I insisted, he suggested we make a donation to a charity instead, which we did. His generosity, professionalism, and genuine care for his clients truly set him apart.

POA inquires beware:
Business has a nice and friendly feel. I wish they could have helped me, but instead they made me feel uncomfortable. I take care of someone who wished to make me their power of attorney. I mentioned that he was forgetful and they spoke to him alone. He said he couldn’t remember exactly what was said but that they couldn’t help us. He said they would not explain why. They didn’t bother talking to me at all. I am a good listener and would have probably understood, but I believe I was misjudged. Because I was given no explanation, I just felt bad and uncomfortable. Like I was doing something wrong, when I am only trying to get a family friend the help he needs. It was a waste of our time, and would have been a waste of money too if we had went through with it. $400 dollars to be exact. We have found a different local law office that would only be charging $150 for this service.

Easy Zero Stars!!! Hello world, I’m professional truck driver of almost 10yrs. I spoke about my case with a Mr. John Daniel and I was very shocked and displeased with his response. Now my case is very simple and easy, I know I can do it myself but I don’t live in McLean County never have, I’ve lived in St. Clair County my whole life. But basically what I needed for Wright Law Office in Bloomington, IL to do is file a petition on my behalf to get my MVR cleaned. I have just one traffic violation on my Motor Vehicle Report from 4yrs. ago. that’s really causing me a hard time regaining employment in my field of Transportation. I told John me not being able to regain employment has caused me so much trouble financially to the point where I could lose my home and not have anywhere to live or stay no more. So again, I proceeded to tell him “All I need from them was to file the petition, and because I’m unemployed, fill out the waiver fee for the petition so it would be free, and get a court date in front of a judge and ask the judge to please remove the speeding ticket from my record” This man RESPONSE was to file a petition doesn’t cost that much, it only cost about $40. But if you want our Law firm to do what you’re asking it’ll be about $1000. I said a Thousand Dollars??? Yeah that man Shiesty asl and petty af too because I just told him I wasn’t even employed. So PLEASE PLZ STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
