Due to the economic downturn our firm had to file for relief through a chapter 11 bankruptcy. The circumstances were complicated due to the fact that some of the owners were personally indebted to a bank that transferred the debt to an entity which was extremely litigious with a scorched earth policy. Due to this extraneous debt, the chapter 11 which paid its creditors back 100% and should have been a cut and dry case lasting 3 to 6 months, turned out lasting over 4 years and counting. The chapter 11 has been appealed and upheld twice.
Ken and his firm have gone above and beyond the call of duty. He has been proactive in every situation, staying ahead of the opposition (large law firms with teams of lawyers). He has spent long hours and late nights always doing whatever it required to be prepared and file the necessary documents. Ken is a professing Christian and he conducts his business in a way that brings glory to God. We always felt confident in his knowledge and ability. He always answers his phone or calls you right back. He explains legal matters in layman terms that we could understand, which helped us in making our decisions. When we had to appear in court to give testimony, Mr. Revell made sure that we were well prepared. He was excellent in the courtroom. I really cannot say enough great things about Ken Revell and his firm! We were able to survive and conduct our business because he conducted his so well!!

Tom Lovett did a marvelous job assisting us through the case. Our case was large, and had a lot of hang ups and issues.. he was patient and had a steady hand often when I did not. Gretchen did a wonderful job to assist him and I am very glad that I went with this firm over some of the larger firms. We hired Attorney Brandon Hughes to help out with a landlord/tenant issue in 2021. The landlord violated several terms of the lease agreement and old us money. Brandon was able to listen to our concerns and provide great legal counsel. Brandon replied to all our emails. And handle the situation with the landlord quickly. The landlord was really difficult but Brandon stepped in and was always calm. And explain what was the best solution for us because the lease was a trap and the landlord was not honest. But Attorney Brandon showed us he was honest and had experience with handling landlord Mold and other landlord issues. Attorney Hughes is very professional and good attorney with handling this Mold issues with our landlord. We would highly recommend him for any landlord/tenant issue. Call his firm 1st.

When i tell you that i was highly impressed and beyond satisfied with my phone interaction - there are not enough words in our English vocabulary to describe truly how impressed I was with my phone interaction with Mr. Carter. Mr. Carter exemplified superb listening skills, compassion, empathy and his follow-up and follow through was simply impeccable. Navigating a legal matter related to child custody can be gut-wrenching for anyone who's had to go through it. I didn't know what to expect, or even if the possibility of a positive outcome was likely. I read all of the reviews for family law attorneys in my area, and I am ever convinced that I made the right decision.
Jessica Chapman was honest, straight-forward, and a great listener. There was no "telling me what I wanted to hear," but rather providing the help that I needed navigating my options. I greatly appreciated Mrs. Chapman's honesty, superb understanding of the legal process in my case, and all-around expertise from the first phone call to the final resolution.
Mrs. Chapman was there for me and my son throughout every step of the way. My journey with Jessica, in family court over the custody of my child, began in 2015. After much research I decided to hire Jessica because she came highly recommended and had an extensive history representing children for DFCS. Once meeting with Jessica I knew she was the perfect match for what I was looking for. Every call, email or meeting I had with Jessica she always took the time to listen to my concerns without rushing me. As we all know when dealing with our children’s best interest and making the right decisions for them the stress levels quickly go up. So therefore I, as a parent tend to want to attack but Jessica always maintained her composure and gave me her honest professional legal advice as well as helping me to continue to see the full picture of what we were dealing with. In 2015 I had no idea what I was walking into but Jessica did a great job of making herself available and spending the necessary time going over every option and scenario with myself and my family. This case came to a close and I was very happy with the end result. I then had to hire Jessica again in 2018 when I relocated my family out of state. Returning to the courtroom to receive the judges approval to move my daughter out of state made me very nervous and scared. Jessica was immediately available to take my case and get to work very quickly. She guided me through the long process step by step with extreme compassion and professionalism. Having Jessica on my side has been a blessing beyond my initial expectations. Although I don’t wish custody court on any family I would highly recommend Jessica. Just wish the helpers answering the phones for this office paid more attention to details and was more familiar with the processes. I called and told the young lady exactly what I was needing which had nothing to do with filing bankruptcy. She told me that I needed to schedule an appt. to come in and talk with someone. I hesitated and mumbled that it would take me two hours to get there (I was referred to them by someone) and with no response from her, went on ahead and scheduled for today, 12/27/18. I drove two hours only to get there, expained again what I was needing and to be told that the attorney that handles litigation law was out of town for the remainder of the year and that they could not help. I did not even get to see the lady that they scheduled me to see (a two hour drive for 15 min of nothing). VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!

Couple years ago, I enlisted Melissa's help in my bankruptcy filing. Absolutely I would recommend Ms. Melissa Ann Herman of Herman & Russo to anyone needing a bankruptcy attorney or who has questions about the process. I made an appointment with two of the largest advertised firms. I was told by each that this is the process and this is how much it costs and that I was going to have to get a job because I didn’t have enough retirement and self-employed income to file bankruptcy with them. Same scenario with two smaller firms. Atlanta Legal Aid doesn’t handle this kind of case. I researched several firms that specialize in bankruptcy and contacted them. I was immediately contacted by the Herman & Russo staff. Ms. Herman was empathetic, cognizant, and resourceful. She devised a solution that worked for both of us and I later found out that she is recognized for her professionalism and knowledge in the bankruptcy administration and court system process.

What can I say. When I 1st went up to the office Adam was there a long with his team. And they IMMEDIATELY made me feel like family. Having to go through probate and a court appointed administrator I had to deal with a lot of different lawyers. Nothing compares to the way Adam and his team were. I need to come clean: I had to hire an attorney to handle my filing of Chapter 7 bankruptcy a year ago and I picked William Rhymer because he was the first bankruptcy lawyer listed in the Yellow Pages. But I should have bought a lottery ticket that day as well, since it was the smartest pick I could have made. Mr. Rhymer is a thoughtful, conscientious attorney who is also accessible and personable -- though based in Conyers, he always made time to see me in his Athens office when scheduled. He put me totally at ease during what was an admittedly stressful time for me, and both his friendly manner and attention to detail are attributes that every lawyer should possess in their field.
