Lack of communication. Consistent delay. No valuation to customers as a priority. Lack of knowledge in relation to case.
During the process of attempting to work with this firm. The paralegal we were assigned to work with appeared to have had a nasty disposition. Upon bringing light to the situation it was discoverd the individual was said to have been sick with frequent hospital visits. With regards to her health and a sincere desire to have empthy for her a conversation was had with relation to the importance of tone and the situations others may also be experiencing. Furthermore with an attempted advancement in interaction amongst this firm we quickly took note that there was little to no organization in relation to the reception of documents as multiple documents had to be sent two-three times. During the duration of each phone call appointment there were delays often exceeding 45min in which the same questions would be asked from previous conversations or requests for documents already submitted. This we feel was a direct reflection of the firms lack of accountability to review the case and/or go over notes before scheduled appointments. To add we were dissapointed to have to experience appointment aburt cancelations the day of appointments. During the waiting duration of two-three months we were not paired with another paralegal after and instead had to remain steadfadt in patience. Non the less two-three months later after finally hearing from the lawyer himself we were sadly told this case was something he felt was more complex than he could handle and that we should seek help elsewhere. With respect to the valuation of time and the importance of it in this short walk of life. I feel individuals should use this experience as a determination or guide of consideration when making important selections for services such as those offered by this firm.

Used this attorney as he was local and the initial consult he got all the info needed and had a plan setup.
The issues come after the filing when creditors refuse to abide by the automatic stay, continue to contact you via e-mail, take money out of checking accounts and he finds some excuse for why it's not his issue to deal with as you the client didn't take proper steps beforehand. Despite there being no law saying you have to stop payment on anyone that has auto draft that you filed BK against. As an FYI my bank reversed the payments withdrawn and placed a perm stop payment on any future attempts. No help from legal representation however. Had to do the legwork myself.
If you think you might have the slightest issue with your case I would suggest looking elsewhere. Other might cost more but could save you a great deal of worry and headache.
Good luck to those considering BK. And good luck in finding an attorney that can help you through it.

Vernon Smith did not help my son at all with his aggavated assault and battery case. Perpetrator tried to climb through my son's window threatening him, and then eventually opened and tried to come through the front door. My son stopped the perpetrator at the door and stabbed him with a knife. I guess Georgia doesn't have any self defense laws. The bias and unfair Aaron Mason gave my son 20 years with only one misdemeanor on his record.
Our friends and family in California just knew it was a white judge that sentenced him t 20 years. I told them no - it was a black judge which are worst than the white ones. They are brainwashed to lock up all their own people.
I found out after the fact that Mason sentenced my son to 20 years because the prosecutor Tasha Mosley was getting all her information from the perpetrator's mother (whos envy and jealousy of me got her other son killed). I did not know the court system goes by hearsay saying it was over money. It had nothing to do with money. I wonder what Mason kept going back there telling the jury. He wanted my son to be found guilty before the trial even started.
Mason and Mosley will be judged by the real great Judge one day. If someone tried to break into their homes with little children present I wondered what they would have done? I see now it is not about being guilty or innocent. It's about which attorney has the best acting skills.
My son is so sweet that he said he forgives the perpetrator's mother, and Mason. He has had nothing but good behavior while in that hell hole that they call prison!

Attorney Smith is a great lawyer and a good person and he knows the law! When my son got in trouble I called around for help with his case. One lawyer told me that he didn't like working with schizophrenic clients. My heart was already broken and his words hurt even more. I got in-touch with Attorney Smith. The attorney I met with said I made too much for chapter 7 but could file chapter 13. He initially told me my payment would be around $550/ month, however, by the time we filed it was almost double that... this should have been red flag 1. Red flag 2 was no one went over any of the creditors that sent in filings. I looked at the list and didn't recognize half the accounts being paid on. I was told after the fact there was nothing I could do.
Covid happened and we ended up having to move and my wife had to get a different vehicle. Our rent increased $700 per month & her car payment was $400. We were somehow expected to maintain that payment. Literally no help from them.
I fell behind twice as we simply don't make enough to cover bills, kids college, etc.
I found out my case was dismissed, not from my attorney but from a letter from a different lawyer. Once they got their $6,000 they were no where to be found.

I hired Schuyler Elliott to represent me and file a suit for a foreclosure that was processed against me. I highly suggest anyone else that hires him to be sure and delete his authority to make decisions, and instead put all settlement actions must be approved by you in writing. When talking about settlements, don't let him bagger you into accepting or making an offer before he sends you everything from that conversation in writing along with the pros and cons of settlement instead on continuing in court. He is very knowledgeable about any type of foreclosures but "I wish I had never hired him".

My mothers house was foreclosed upon after her death, while we were in the process of selling it. This was caused by a reverse mortgage company not paying attention and sending her house to a aggressive lawyer. When we contacted Schuyler it was on a Friday afternoon, and he agreed to meet with us on a Saturday for a free consultation. All the other attorneys we spoke with wanted $300 just to talk with us, and could not do it for at least a week. We could not wait because we had a eviction notice left on the door of the house.
Turned out the house had already been sold at auction on court house steps a few days prior.
Schuyler listened to what we had to say, looked at all our documentation and said he could help, and he did. We were able to get the house back and force the reverse mortgage company to pay all legal fees and a little compensation for the whole issue. Schuyler is very highly recommended, he was tough when needed and kept us updated. All I can say is Thank You Schuyler.

And don’t trust anyone who refers you to them because they are all working together. I have received nothing but one lie after another. Dumbfounded when standing alone in court. Frank and his team lied to me on more than one occasion. He was hard to get in touch with and would not return calls. I was told by him and his team I did not have to worry about a deposition. They told me the day before my deposition that I had to be there. No preparation. He and his team lied to my mother as well. Frank charged me thousands of dollars and did nothing to defend me in court, even though I spent hours gathering information that they requested for our court appearance. Frank will tell you what you want to hear and let you burn at the stake. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN!!!!

After going thru a rather costly divorce where my ex-wife was sticking me with monthly payments of nearly $3,500 / mo and not making any progress with two other attorney's. I was stuck with payments which where determined prior to the economic down fall.
Attorney Frank Hamilton and his team (which where very hands on and accessible); worked on my case and within a couple of months where able to reduce the payments to $1,600/mo. The monthly payments could of been less if one of the previous attorneys had advised me properly against signing a document.
The fees where reasonable and whenever I fell behind due to circumstances; Attorney Frank Hamilton was there to defend me and keep me out of trouble......the attention and service was unparalleled by any other firm.

Would not hire this lawyer again for even defense of a parking ticket. Hired this lawyer approximately March 2014 and was told that my two year limitation of filing was in November 2015.
Lawyer used up the time. He advised me by phone on 31 of October 2015, with follow up letter on November 6, 2015 that the malpractice case was not worth pursuing (risk reward); remaining filing time was basically used up and I did not have sufficient time to pursue other legal help in my case.

I reached out to Chiri Rutledge’s law firm after a previous attorney I hired resulted in me getting my license suspended. My license was never suppose to be suspended. Frustrated with this outcome, I reached out to the previous attorney I had but she went ghost and wouldn’t return my calls.
When I called Ms.Rutledge and signed her paperwork she immediately filed a motion for me. I had to wait 4 months to get a hearing but Ms.Rutledge kept me updated and even thought of creative ways where I could possible seek a limited driver’s permit to help with the cost of Ubers and the inconvenience of not having a driver’s license.
On the day of my court hearing Ms.Rutledge promptly showed to court and she was fully prepared to make her remarks to the judge to reinstate my license.
The judge agreed with Ms.Rutledge and I got my drivers license back after having it suspended for over 6 months because of the mistake of a previous lawyer.
I am forever grateful to have a lawyer who truly represented my case with facts, evidence, and justice.

I hired this attorney from off the record to dismiss a simple traffic ticket. It took many months to do so. She is mostly unresponsive, but I gave benefit of the doubt. Finally, she had me meet up with her to provide cash for this ticket that she said was reduced to a nonreporting ticket. I paid the fine. It took almost 3 weeks to get confirmation of a receipt or case closure despite me asking constantly with emails ignored. Finally she sent me paperwork stating she entered a GUILTY plea WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR KNOWLEDGE FOR THAT PLEA! She NEVER communicated that was the plan. If I knew that I would've fired her immediately. I have 3 points on my license, my insurance went up, I paid a fine, AND an attorney for this outcome? I could've done that MYSELF! I could've gotten a better outcome myself! I am a student which is why I chose to get a lawyer to handle this. I regret my decision. She's also rude with a bad attitude. I am so disgusted with her and her service. Stay far away. You will lose your case.

I have used Mr. Murphy for years and he has handled several ordeals for me over the years. When Mr. Murphy was hungry and still not that big he was great. Suddenly he has outgrown his former clients and is now dealing with bigger clients. Mr. Murphy most recently handled my divorce scenario and boy did he get me stuck with a pitchfork. Knowing very well that my business was going under, he left me out to dry and got me hung with ridiculous child support payments. Then on top of that, he basically quit communicating with me altogether when I needed him to look into some modifications to make life somewhat manageable. Finally after a long period of avoiding my calls and or text messages, he sends me a reply that says that "I am no longer a viable client and to find a new attorney." Seriously??? What kind of attorney fires a paying client? It is unfortunate that Mr. Murphy is now too big in his career to take care of the little people that helped get him where he is today. I would not recommend him for any divorce matters at all. From what I hear, he is a decent attorney for bankruptcies but even then with the kind of service he provides you may be better off looking elsewhere.
