Prior to a litigation within a condo association in which settlement should have been immediate, they escalated the matter, which was not in the best interest for those that they are supposed to represent. Note that Perkins office was the retained attorney for Fuller Farms Condo Association in Lowell, MA. The facts of the matter were.
1) Two unit owners were denied access to the financial books. His office was made aware of our multiple email requests. Condo by-laws and MA laws dictate that all unit owners are allowed to inspect the "books, for the purpose of an audit.
2) We were denied access because the treasury was depleted because of poor management. There was misappropriation of funds as some supporters of management received upgrades and installations, including $10,000 for windows. The was approximately a $45, 000 shortfall in condo fee arrears. Some owners were able to sell there condo and move owing thousands of dollars in condo fees.
3) There was a further shortfall because of late fees due to unpaid water and tax bills and vendors were paid above industry standards.
4) The property manager had complete control over the bank accounts and accounting software. The QuickBooks software was in his name, his personal information was connected to FFCA bank accounts. This is illegal.
5) Perkins chose to allow a rogue property manager and trustees to retain his counsel, knowingly and willfully that they were not operating in accordance with the law. They were not certified trustees and the property manager was never voted to be hired and he carried no insurance. They do not have the authority to enter into an agreement with Perkins at the expense of FFCA. Perkins chose to allow this.
6) Perkins allowed these individuals to hire him for the purpose of withholding the books and for incumbent protection.
7) Stalling and Intimidation tactics were inflicted upon me. I received letters from Perkins that stated, " this office represents the board of trustees and it is understood that the board through its managing agent has provided you with all requested documents with the exception of a few outstanding invoices." Shortly after I politely notified his office via email and wrote that I received nothing. I submitted further request to the board to access the books. Immediately after I received a demand letter to cease & desist. This is unlawful as it could not be justified.
8) I retained council and shortly after Perkins released 90 pages of financial records.
9) After 6 months of hardship and FFCA payments totaling $35,000 to Perkins, his office chose to reassign the litigation to the associations insurance company. The board had new legal counsel. During the tenure of new counsel, every bank statement was provided through a subpoena. Two out of seven board members resigned, including the treasurer. After 30 months of unnecessary litigation, the property manager resigned to avoid consequences of trial. Perkins did a lot of harm to FFCA. They allowed this matter to escalate into an action for injunctive relief against that former board of trustees and property manager.

I don’t know why every time I write a (negative) review here it disappears! I hired David Chenelle a few years ago to help me with a bankruptcy. I found him to be rude and insensitive. I also think he did something wrong when he claimed that Mass. had changed the way it did bankruptcy and so I would have to pay to have him redo my case. (?) He also claimed that I hadn’t paid him when I had. I had to go to the bank and get physical copies of the checks, endorsed by him, to prove it. What lawyer operates like that? I would definitely not recommend him. (Let’s see how long this review stays up!)

I consulted with Mr. Aguiler on a very important procedural legal matter. The advise that he gave was ABSOLUTELY spot on. His explanations were clear, concise, and as my research concluded, completely followed the letter of the law. I then recommended him to an associate whose 1st language is spanish. Same result, perfect explanation and advise.

I am more than impressed with the results that Roland Milliard got for me. I was dealing with a contractor that was not responsive to my communications regarding issues with the job he was contracted for. I had contacted the contractor on numerous occasions with no response. I contacted Roland on a and he responded immediately. We discussed what I needed to provide him so that he could serve the contractor with a demand letter. Roland had the demand letter in the mail the next day. Within 2 weeks I had my settlement check in hand. If it wasn't for Roland I would have received zero compensation from the contractor. I would not hesitate to retain Rolands services again in fact he is now on speed dial. Rolands services far exceeded my expectations. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I was referred to the law office of Ernest Stone because I had a case that was very complex. That term isn’t hyperbole, it touched many corners of the legal spectrum. Most of which I was very unfamiliar with and to my surprise most of the other Criminal Defense Attorneys I consulted were also concerningly unfamiliar. I spoke to Atty. Stones paralegal who answered on the first ring and had me in the office the next day. Face to face, I laid out the long and complex situation. Atty. When I was facing bankruptcy I first went to a recommended, store front, attorney on Blue Hill Ave in Mattapan who had signs promising low rates and good results. All of the customers, were, like I was, poor and desperately needing help. A few months into the legal process I found out the storefront attorney, was charging impoverished people two times the amount Gary Cruickshank charged for his services. And his office is in a very expensive rental area of Boston. Instead of taking advantage of poor people, he was truly there to help people in desperate financial straits. He was kind, affordable, consistent, respectful, a rare, and bright shining, light in the legal profession. I trusted him with the well being of my home, my business and my life; and he never let me down. He is a man of integrity, honor and grace. He made a painful, scary time in my life, manageable. We got sued for adverse possession and easement rights on or lake property. Adam took the case 4 years ago. Just before the pretrial he bailed out. We now have to find a replacement in a very short time and for an extremely high cost. He left us in a very bad situation. I don't believe he felt comfortable about litigation. His specialty seems to be land lord/ tenant issues. I believe he was out of his league taking our case.

I hired Attorney Hines to represent me in a bankruptcy case. After the initial consultation she set me up to take the required course which i did and to pay her a monthly payment. The plan was to after the final payment for her to start the process. I payed my last payment months ago. I did the course that was required by the state and have been trying to get in contact with her for months. She took all my payments total of over $1200 and hasnt done a thing for me! Do not hire this attorney!!

Personally hired this lawyer to draft estate planning instruments. While Mr. McNamara seemed personable and knowledgeable at our initial meeting, our actual experience was unfortunately quite different. We later learned that many of the instruments he drafted did not adequately protect our interests. When meeting with him a few years after the initial drafting of the documents, he asked why did you do this, why didn’t you do that. Well that was clearly our question to him, he’s the lawyer. He was non responsive on several occasions and quite curt in some of our in-person meetings. He was a disappointment and clearly did not know the details of the law that were vital to the legal services we hired and paid him for. This review is in no way any sort of retaliation, it truthfully depicts our real life experience with Mr. McNamara. Others who are reviewing their choices for a lawyer for themselves or their elder family member(s) should be aware of this kind of information, which will better prepare them to make the best informed decision when selecting the right attorney for them and/or their family.

I am a small business owner in the Cape Cod area. Tim Macnamara set up my LLC Corporation for me. He was very informative and accurate with his information, making me aware of the different options that I had for my business. After going through the details with me and deciding which was best for my needs, he very promptly handled all of the paperwork with the state and provided me with copies of all necessary documents. It all seemed like such a huge hassle to me at first but Tim took care of things with the greatest of ease. He has then contacted me and taken care of all things needed when ever it was necessary. Mr. McNamara was hired by me, as executrix of my mother's estate, in June of last year. He has done an excellent job so far. I just wanted to comment on a negative review I read on this website about him. I think it was written by one of my family members who, unfortunately for Mr. MacNamara has been taking her frustration and anger towards her siblings out on him! These comments are untrue! Every year Boston magazine publishes the results for top attorneys in Boston from different legal specialties, from business and criminal law to family and employment law. If there are top 100 attorneys; Edward Wayland would be voted as the top 10 WORST attorneys in Boston. I'm very grateful I had made the right decision to terminate him for ineffectiveness of his counsel. About few years ago, To today's day, I never regretted (terminating) firing Edward Wayland.
He almost ruined my life and my freedom. lack of communication, Failure to exercise diligence, ineffectiveness of his counsel, and Incompetence, Incompetence, and Incompetence. Had went to this firm as I knew many people went here and heard good things and hired Julie A. Dialessi-Lafley as our attorney. Biggest mistake ever!!! We payed thousands upfront for her help and in the end we ended up doing it all ourselves. In beginning we gave all the information we needed to give to get our alcohol license. After that it was the paralegals who were the ones that did EVERYTHING! All forms kept having mistakes and being sent back! What should have taken maybe a month or two months took almost a year and it was only done because we went online and looked it up and did everything ourselves. Wasted thousands of dollars on this lawyer when we didn’t even deal with her but paralegals and everything they did was wrong😑. Don’t hire Julie A. Dialessi-Lafley because she will just pass off everything to incompetent paralegals Who can’t fill forms out correctly.
