My mother needed legal work done and my father's dementia created complications. After surgery, rehab, six weeks at home, and another month in the hospital, it was clear that my father needed institutional care. Thanks to Mr. Pfeifer's efforts, my father's admission to the nursing home went smoothly. Later he qualified for Medicaid.
In February of this year, my mother suffered a small stroke. She came home after seven weeks in hospital and rehab. The rehab facility recommended 24-hour aide coverage, but we could only afford it for eight weeks. By successfully completing her Medicaid application, Mr. Pfeifer ensured my mother would have a full-time aide in her own home.
What I like about Michael Pfeifer's style is that he uses simple language, not legal jargon. He listens well. His billing method is straightforward. He instills confidence.

Jay Meyers was referred to me by another bankruptcy lawyer who did not want to take on my case (too complicated, of course). Jay came very highly recommended.
No one ever plans to get into financial problems and become financially desperate but life happens. Those who experience this know that it is both physically and mentally crippling - the amount of stress can become unbearable. It really feels like the end of the world.
Never in a million years did I think I would ever have to file for bankruptcy but if I was ever going to file for bankruptcy boy am I glad that Jay was my lawyer. He really is the whole package! Jay has over 30 years of experience in his field, is fairly priced, and well-intentioned. Wayne is not only a professional attorney but an amazing human being with high empathy who goes above and beyond to help his clients. One of my personal stories and of my family where Wayne dedicated hours to helping my parents, helping myself to get out of a very difficult family financial crisis created by a failure of a family business. Wayne charges for what he does, he doesn't charge money for blah blah blah, he only takes money for actual work that he does and most of all he delivers! Thanks to him I have saved myself from creditors getting judgments against my house, I was able to successfully and strategically get myself and my parents out of a complicated financial issue. Updated review. I cannot stress to anybody reading this enough: who you hire matters and you get what you pay for. Attorney’s have case after case slide across their desk. It’s a job at the end of the day to most. If Aaron Shapiro or the force that is Amanda Schaffer takes your case, TRUST THEM. Full disclosure: I am a nightmare client. On a scale from 1-10, I’m an 11 in terms of annoying. My son is my absolute world. I have been a “white pony” more times than you can imagine. Over-billed. None of it made sense. Those attorneys cared about a paycheck. Aaron and Amanda are not only EXCELLENT attorneys, they’re good people. They have a backbone. Their time is valuable. They’re not cheap. Know that. When your child, freedom, or immigration status is on the line — don’t put it in the hands of someone who treats you like a file.
