When my teenaged son became the victim of a vicious hit-and-run attack, we were busy dealing with the medical and criminal aftermath. But we also needed help on the civil side to get some financial relief. Ben was highly recommended by a dear friend as the best in this field, and we were lucky to have him on our side.
He immediately came to visit us in person and explained the whole process. Over time, there were several unexpected twists and turns in the case involving out-of-network medical costs, the attacker's auto insurance, and our own insurance. Ben patiently explained the implications of all of this as it unfolded and made sure that we were clear on everything. He handled the day to day details so we could focus on my son's recovery, but always kept us informed. He made himself available by text, phone, and email at all hours.
Ben's advice, patience, negotiation skills, and support through all of the twists and turns have been invaluable. I am glad to say that we were able to arrive at a meaningful settlement that gives my son resources for his future. First, my sincerest apologies to Chris, Pam, and all the staff for my complete negligence and selfish tardiness in posting these reviews of our experience. My only excuse and defense is that I have been having way too much fun these past few months with the toys I have always hoped for in my “Golden Years” of retirement. I.e. Kubota Tractor, hydraulic dump, flat bed, and now constructing a pole barn to store it.
My wife, I, and our Minnie Aussie departed our Olympia, WA home on the start of a month long retirement “road trip of a lifetime.” On day two we were hit by a drunk driver in Joshua Tree, CA. While we were all relatively unharmed our brand new (3,500 miles) GMC truck was totaled. We returned back to Olympia six days later and asked ourselves, “what the heck just happened and now what?” I sat down and composed a six page narrative of what happened describing what was going on in our lives before, at the time, and after, this horrific incident. At the same time, Leta was searching for a personal injury lawyer. After much debate and settling on two, we flipped a coin and Leta won. I am SO glad she did.
I am confident that this narrative assisted Chris greatly in determining the value of our case and, more importantly, who we are, our history, feelings, dreams, etc. And he was able to achieve this without us ever having hade face to face communication. We did, however, enjoy many hours on the phone at both the beginning and at the end of our near 18 month association. And none of that time on the phone was created for “billing hours.” It was all on Chris’s dime.
Chris worked tirelessly in communication with both the defendant’s insurance company, as well as ours to obtain the maximum “underinsured motorist” coverage we carry. Ultimately, we were awarded the maximum limits allowable on both policies. We each received two checks, one from the drunk drivers insurance, and one from ours. We just renewed with our insurance and I have not noticed any increase in premium. The only way we could have received more money would have been to go to court with a jury trial. Given our Covid-19 environment and the snail’s pace the court is moving, I believe Chris advised us correctly in accepting the full limit offer. I can never thank this firm enough and would, without hesitancy, recommend them to anyone who has been wrongly injured in the Palm Springs area. I’m still looking forward to footing the bill for a meal at Elmer’s.

I had a complicated case a few years ago, contacted a couple of attorneys in town who told me that winning a Bigamy case was almost impossible and didn’t think I had a chance of winning. I came across Cutler and Lax Law firm and when I called, I fell upon Mathew lax. After listening to me carefully & attentively, he explained my options and accepted to take my case despite its complexity. The proceedings lasted almost two years but with all its twists and turns especially with evidences found in a foreign country, Mathew stood firmly by me, was very knowledgeable about the law, was transparent/honest with me, very communicative and readily available on the phone/text to explain when I didn’t understand. Then Danielle Salice is who you want going to war for you, because she will give everything, she has into protecting you and getting you justice.
When I first met Ms. Salice, I was terrified, I felt so alone, afraid of what the future was going to hold. I was in a bad marriage, had recently been diagnosed with a health condition, and was in the beginning phases of my divorce. Without sharing too much detail, I shared a bit of my story with an online platform of a group of moms seeking advice. Ms. Salice was one of the fellow moms who reached out to me to offer support, but in no way did she appear to be seeking a client, but rather, she was simply being kind and compassionate. The mere fact that she was a Family Law Attorney didn’t even come into play until much later. When it became clear that I needed a lawyer, I didn’t even know she could represent me in my county, but on one of the scariest days of my life, I reached out to Ms. Salice in a panic unsure of what to do. Since she has joined my case, not only has she secured custody for me, but she has blocked my ex and his lawyer’s every attempt to take advantage of me, push me around, or bully me into submission. I have cried several times in gratitude thanking Ms. Salice for all the work that she has done and continues to do. Thank you, Danielle, for fighting so hard for me, for protecting me, for making sure I don’t get taken advantage of just because I am scared, or don’t have as much as my ex does. (60) day's ago we were placed into a position to evict our tenants for breaking the terms and conditions of their month to month tenancy rental agreement. We sought out Residencial Attorney Ms. Torres to help us with this process. We paid her consultation fee and within the quality hour we spent with her; she produced a strategically well prepared plan.
She answered our questions thoroughly, professionally and was most pleasant in explaining all avenues regarding the process from a smooth eviction within a timely manner to potentially an uncooperative tenant who we'd take to court, file eviction credit reporting and taking to small claims court for damages to our unit if applicable.
We left the office confident with the Eviction Letter in hand and served the tenants the very same day.
Ms. Torres even prepared an immediate "Walk-Thru" document allowing us to inspect the condition of the unit 48 hours after the serving.
At that point; it was no longer necessary for any further contact with the tenants. The few times the tenants required contact; they were forced to contact Ms. Torres who handled the inquiries and concluded by asking the tenants each time; "lets talk about your vacancy arrangements and handing over your keys to the unit".
I know every scenario is different, but;
We collected our final rent, the tenants were allowed the additional month rent free for vacancy purposes and exactly 60 days later; the tenants were successfully EVICTED.
