Ms. Irmer and her legal team represented me before the California Medical Board (CMB). I was facing discipline by the CMB because I resigned under investigation at a hospital I practiced in another state. At the advice of my attorney in that state, he advised me to resign because Peer Review at thathospital was unfair and futile. That state restricted my license but then rescinded the restriction after I completed additional training. Despite the restriction in the other state being rescinded, CMB was going to take action and discipline me because of statutory requirements. Ms, Irmer and Kimberly Elkin guided me through the CMB investigation with a successful strategy in showing I had corrected the problem in the other state and was doing well in my current job. They made many calls to the CMB in my behalf and developed a good rapport with the Board. In the end the CMB decided to drop discipline against me. Any discipline against me would have resulted in termination from insurance plans and eventually my job. Ms. Irmer and her team defended me beyond expectations and saved my career.

Guy Louie Criminal defense attorney back in 2015 He was able to get me the lightest sentence possible four months jail time on the weekends +5 year probation. I highly recommend Makarem & Associates and specifically attorney Britland Kenworthy. I was fired from a brand new employer after I informed them that I had some lab results that were positive for cancer and urgently needed to get followup testing. Eight days later they terminated me. Turns out that I was cancer free but the stress of the whole situation was unbelievable and I was a mess. Makarem took my case and Britland fought for me even when it looked like a losing proposition. The settlement they reached was a lifesaver for my wife and I and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

She instructed me to get a record and she found that I had no convictions except one, which unbeknownst to me, was expunged. This old record came up when I applied for a trusted traveler card. Easy to schedule a time to speak. Very informative, polite, and pleasant to speak with.
Could anything have been better?
We did not need a full service or review since we did not have a suspension. Our call was limited to preventative measures and how to ensure common mistakes do not occur. We still received valuable information about how to carry on business and where to be particularly prudent based on where other businesses have had the most trouble.
How was the support?

I cannot stop praising Kenneth and Leito enough. They undoubtedly have superb customer support!. Kenneth was kind enough to schedule a call with us and take us through the process in detail. We spoke with many other Lawyers regarding our account suspension, but they seemed to not have even half the knowledge as Ken. Mo was absolutely amazing. He was very informative and very quick to respond to all of my questions. I originally started with a Chapter 13 and later converted it to a Chapter 7 and he made the process extremely easy for me. I was anxious and beyond stressed in the beginning of the process but he kept me calm through it all plus he even helped me find a dealership to get a car. I was turned down by several dealerships before I spoke with Mo about what I was dealing with and he referred me to a dealership and I drove off with my car that same day.

Attorney Mo helped my wife and I through a couple of difficult situations. Our bankruptcy was filed in July of 2018 and discharged only 3 months later in October of 2018. I worked with Emily for my Pre-Marital Agreement and she was amazing every step of the way. She took as much time as I needed to explain everything in detail to make sure I understood. Her PMA payment structure is a flat fee, which I really appreciated because I know other lawyers charge by the hour and try and add on a bunch of calls / work so they can charge more. This is the worst, most unreliable, impossible to reach lawyer. He’s in charge of my dads estate & I’ve been trying to reach him for two months without any progress. I’m in a domestic violent relationship, which I’ve communicated to him & in the time it’s taken to try to reach him, things have gotten so much worst. My ex-partner mishandled all the resources I contributed to our shared living space leaving me completely broke currently & now I am trapped in this home with no money to escape, mentally broken down & hardly capable of working, & my only hope for getting out of this situation is checking into a women’s shelter or Douglas releasing my share of my inheritance so that I can afford a different living arrangement.
I believe this lawyer to be complicit in the abuse I’m experiencing & I know my dad wouldn’t want a man like this who’s doing nothing in his power to help his daughter… to profit from managing his estate.
