When I first contacted Attorney Howlette, I was at one of my lowest points. I tearfully told him it was probably too late to do anything with case. In the kindest way possible, Attorney Howlette reassured me that it was “never too late” and that he knew how to handle my case. A great weight was lifted off of me that day. Ever since, Attorney Howlette and his colleagues have shown up with their A game. We are still battling my case in court but I am confident in Attorney Howlette’s abilities. Mr. Hoge represented me in an attorney fee dispute against my former attorney and mot only won my case, but got me everything I requested in my complaint! His knowledge of the legal process and the law is incredible. He put me at ease and gave me confidence which helped in the presentation of ourcase. What felt like never ending litigation and after several attorneys….I was once again in a position where I was on the search for another attorney….There were several other law firms who did not want to take my case and then there were several attorneys who referred me to Mr. Hoge, as he is obviouslythe go to attorney in the city for the type of attorney I was looking for….and I see why! He is honest and straightforward. No matter whether it was good news or not so good news, he always put realistic expectations on the situation, even if it was hard to take in the news. Mr. Hoge always cut out the extra talk and made sure to stick to the facts of the case and to discuss what actually matters. He was very time and money conscious when billing and put in the hours where needed. Really appreciate Mr. Hoge and very glad he took on my case and took a chance on me!

This law firm has restored my faith in morale in this society. I paid a retainer for consultation and the drafting of a letter of reply to a not-for-profit organization that was attempting to collect on a claim of a twenty-year-old debt incurred in a European country. Mr. Sternberg took the full hour to listen to my situation and position on the matter, answered all my questions, and left me with a sense of confidence that he was experienced and capable of legally handling my matter. His assistant, Mr. Martz, drafted an eloquent and robust response, which the other party continued to dispute, and I have retained their firm for whatever come next.
I greatly appreciated their responsiveness; they were timely and set up the first consult within a few days of contacting them and the letter they drafted was sent out in a business week. I also felt that they listened to me and took the time to explain the matter to my satisfaction. They often caveated their statements, as many legal matters cannot be fully defined, it depends on a multitude of controllable and uncontrollable items, and they were diligent in ensuring that they understood what I could expect and what the most likely (but not guaranteed!) outcomes would be. Lastly, they took the time to reach out when this process was upsetting or making me nervous and ensured that we were progressing in a manner that was organized, coherent, and deliberate as opposed to making hasty, snap judgements.
I would unreservedly recommend Mr. Sternberg for anyone that has a civil matter involving real estate and international law.
