I have utilized Mr. Deem on 7-10 corporate engagements over the last 18 months. Each engagement was complex with multiple counter-parties and jurisdictions and included acquisitions, divestitures, public and private refinancings, contract negotiations, and regulatory processes requiring Mr. Deem to utilize both his personal expertise as well as liaise with subject matter experts within his firm and outside firms.
The four traits Mr. Deem consistently exhibits which keep our firm coming back to him - accuracy, flexibility, responsiveness. and directness.
Accuracy -- speaks for itself
Flexibility -- lays out a range of options with explanations for the pros and cons of each option from our vantage.
Responsiveness -- typically develops a work product in a matter of days where other firms we work with take weeks to formulate a response.
Directness -- most firms will not give a straight answer, everything has caveats. Mr. Deem answers in more definitive terms such as "your position affords you x rights, the other side will take y position, and any disagreement will be argued z way with the judge ruling based on ...."

In the past couple of years, I have had occasion to use Ms. Steinbach for a number of legal matters, most recently, to file a lawsuit against a builder for faulty construction and the resulting damages. She's very good at what she does -- knowledgeable about the law, driven, and very results-oriented. In addition to her knowledge and expertise, what most impresses me about Shirley is her professional demeanor and temperament. Lawyers who are all "fire and brimstone I-was-born-a-pitbull-and-will-fight-for-you (for an appropriate fee!)" are, in my experience, a dime-a-dozen (especially in DC), and often do more harm than good (polarizing/entrenching opposing sides, etc). Shirley takes the opposite approach. She's extremely level-headed and calm, even in highly contentious situations. In the litigation mentioned above, at the mediation phase, Shirley persuaded the builder to pay for over 90% of the costs of all the necessary repairs -- a far better outcome than I went into the proceedings expecting; there's no way we would have gotten to a positive outcome like this with a more contentious approach to the litigation strategy. Highly recommended.

Rachel has been a friend for years but I haven't engaged her until recently for legal. As our newer company was growing we started to run into issues with some of our representatives and non-compete agreements which shouldn't have been an issue in the first place (in my opinion, of course). She offered what I truly believe is a white glove service and took care of everything A to Z while keeping me apprised of the progress.
Rachel truly took the "shock" feeling of receiving a legal threat not only away, but off the table. There's no reason for my company to seek counsel elsewhere as long as my requirements stay within her wheelhouse.

I hired Byron for my 2017 divorce case and I am happy with his service. One of the main things that I look for in an attorney is responsiveness when I have questions, need feedback or assurance - and Byron replied to my text messages and emails usually within a day or two - and his responses were detailed and thorough. The next main thing I need in an attorney is reasonable fees, and this was also something that I received. Invoices make sense and are reasonable in terms of the explanations and break-down of what fees are actually for. I have had other attorneys in the past where this was not the case, so I have a perspective on this topic, and know what is, and what is not reasonable. The outcome in my divorce case was such that I can say I got most of the things that were important to me, so I was happy with the results that Byron provided for me. I also had a good prior understanding on what to expect based on the conversations that I had with Byron, there were no surprises or anything like that. At the same time Byron was realistic and did not overpromise anything, so I always felt I knew what I was in for. I also liked the payment methods that were in place for me to pay invoices. All in all I had a very positive experience with Byron!

My business partner failed to do his work well and our company was bankrupt. Instead of helping resolve the problem, he used a clause in our agreement to take control of the company. That's when I hired Theodore Allison. It took several months of careful negotiations, tons of emails, lots of arguments, working through false promises and much anguish, but Theo finally led me to a resolution that solved the problem. I have known Jack Wuerker since 1998 when we met at his practice, Wuerker & Triarhos, to work on a plan to distribute stock in our small corporation to key employees. This effort resulted in an equitable and satisfactory distribution of stock, a shareholders agreement and a shareholders management agreement. Although this process took several months to work through, we were quite pleased with the results and I decided to refer all of our legal work to Jack.

Jack Wuerker understands the big picture. It is not enough to understand you. He makes it his business to understand the opposing counsel and the counsel's client. Jack assidously does his homework. He is prepared whether it is a client meeting, a deposition, a trial or any form of client support. I have never seen Jack surprised by the argument of an opposing counsel. He always comes prepared. I would be happy to take phone calls or do follow up to anyone looking at working with Mr. Skok. I am the president of a small healthcare IT corporation. We operate in 23 states with a licensing, services, and consuling model covering 175 employees and over 3,000 software users. Patient privacy, and in particular the application, understanding, and incorporation of federal HIPAA, HITECH, ARRA, and then state and county laws as they affect my business are too numerous to mention here. Mr. Skok has been an invaluable partner in creating and negotiating contracts. I have frequently involved him in negotiations with ever larger and more prestigious healthcare providers. He has represented my company with integrity and passion. In our 8 year healthcare experiment, Mr. Skok has assisted us with every contract template and all major new client deals. On the otherside of the client experience, he has served as wise counsel in closing out unsustainable deals and parting ways.
As we have grown from a small start up to where we are now, our needs have changed in every manner imaginable. Early focus on sales has shifted to contract renewals and more sophisticated RFP-type responses. We have struggled with several instances of being sued by our business partners. Mr. Skok, though not a trial attorney, has been a reference to both myself and our Board of Directors throughout. Mr. Skok has referred and helped Universata identify other attorneys with speciality skills that have been very much to our benefit in litigation in other states, M&A, commercial real estate, and HR matters.
In 2005, we contemplated a series of acquisitions. While Mr. Skok was not our primary legal counsel through these, he was included as an advisor. Quite simply – I feel lucky to have met Roy and have had him on my side. I was facing a complicated and emotionally charged situation – something that was challenging on many levels. From the moment he took on the case Roy gave me the confidence to believe I was doing the right thing in pursuing my case and that I had the right person to guide and support me. Importantly, he treated me like a person throughout rather than a faceless case. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of legal service provided by Murad Khan. Murad is a great attorney but in addition, he is an really nice guy who really cares about his clients. He offered insightful solutions to my business and legal problems. I found him to be pragmatic, honest and someone with highly-developed interpersonal skills (which really helped during intense negotiations).
Murad helped my business tactfully mediate a major dispute and successfully negotiate and execute the resulting contracts. In fact, my company had spent 8 months negotiating this deal and it was at risk of imploding. Luckily, Murad and his team were there to help advocate for us and bring us to a successful and fair resolution. I would definitely recommend Murad and his firm.

I met Craig as apart of Bosson Legal Group... so this isn't as much a review for him ONLY as much as at is for the entire team: (I couldn't find the entire group on AVOO) :(
At the start, my case truly felt insurmountable. I had never dealt with needing an attorney for racial discrimination in the workplace before and had no idea where to begin. Not to mention, I had only heard horror stories from others who'd had to hire an attorney for various reasons. People warned me that with my case in particular, the entire process would take FOREVER and that I would more than likely deal with a "lying thief of an attorney" because "they [were] all the same" anyway.
I am BEYOND pleased to say that this was NOT AT ALL the case dealing with Craig and Bosson Legal Group.
From the very beginning, Craig made me feel nothing but safe and taken care of. He listened to my story in full; Never once rushing me, belittling me or hurrying me. He even offered numerous, sincere apologies for what I had been through. I couldn't believe that I was receiving such authentic and genuine empathy from a LAWYER. What's more, is that he worked with where I was financially and allowed me to pay him in "good faith" when I couldn't afford it.
As my case progressed, I was passed from Craig to Tim but not in a way that even once made me feel discarded. Craig made sure he let me know that he remained accessible to me and Tim was just as WONDERFUL.
It seemed that as soon as I would get antsy, before even having the chance to bring it up to Tim, he would read my mind, reach out and say, "Hey haven't forgotten you. We're still fighting for you!" And that's exactly what he and his entire team did.
My case was resolved abnormally fast, which I believe is because I was in such excellent hands.
The only thing I would've like to see a little different was that: I often wonder sometimes if I should've fought a little further/a little harder for more compensation that I deserved. But during some conversations, I wasn't confident that we could win if I chose to go further which is slightly disheartening.
But to be fair, that doesn't necessarily mean it's reflective of Tim's abilities. It could just be that it truly wasn't going to benefit me to keep going forward. I only had one other slight concern with how my ending balance made a little bit of a jump that I wasn't anticipating. But, Tim did send me a breakdown explaining this later.
Trust me when I say...
You simply will not be in better hands with anyone else than you would be if you were with Craig Welkener and Bosson Legal Group. I mean that sincerely. They are the dream team. I can't thank you ENOUGH, guys.

After dealing with an immigration attorney who turned out to be too laid backed even after a RFE was issued for my immigration case, my employer (with my consent) decided to switch attorneys. This was at a crucial time in my case so obviously it was very stressful for me, my employer and my family. Mr. Sergey Basyuk showed total interest in my case since day 1. He was the third immigration lawyer my husband and I interviewed and definitely our best option. He made sure that he had the complete information about us and understood our priorities, needs and life cycle at that time, which helped a lot to guide us to our right path, as each case is different.
The whole process was clearly explained to us step by step. That helped us a lot and made us feel relax. Also, he was always available for us in person, on the phone, on e-mails to answer any doubt with the best attitude.
My husband and I were so busy at that time with our own jobs, the move to the U.S., the wedding, and so on, that we blindly trusted Mr. Basyuk and let him lead the way. It worked smoothly and simple.
