I was referred to Mr. Riddick by another lawyer. The lawyer told me that Mr. Riddick was a great attorney. My matter involved gaining more access to my only child, a son. My son's mother wanted sole custody and for me to have much less visitation. I explained the situation to Mr. Riddick, and he gave me his thoughts and advice on how best to proceed. Mr. Riddick talked to me in a way that made sense, and it was clear that we was quite experienced. The case took a little less than a year to conclude, but was just resolved favorably for me. Instead of my child's mother getting sole custody, I kept joint custody and got almost double the time I had been getting. For sure, I got a great result. But I received more than good legal advice. Mr. Riddick encouraged me in other areas of my life, including pushing me to purchase a home, which I am preparing to do, and maintaining a proper relationship with my son's mother, who can be a very difficult person. I feel like I have really grown as a young man while the case was pending. The case is now over. And Mr. Riddick treated me really well. He is a terrific lawyer.

My wife's co-worker referred me to Mr. Riddick. Her co-worker told her that Mr. Riddick was thorough, thoughtful, and would get the job done. My case was very complex. I got divorced twenty years ago, and my former attorney DID NOT take care of the pension and retirement issues. So my pension and retirement grew substantially. My ex-wife then came back asking for a huge amount of money from both sources of my retirement, including money that I had earned in a government retirement savings plan. Without stating the amount, I will say it was quite substantial. My current wife and I met with Mr. Riddick, and after he explained his thoughts about how we should proceed, hired him the same day. It was clear that he understood the complexity of our case. My wife and I both felt totally comfortable with him, and he showed great compassion. I recall him even asking my wife would she stick by me through this situation. My wife said that she would. Because of the COVID pandemic, our case was delayed for almost two years in the court system. During that time, we attended an Alternative Dispute Resolution meeting, and reached what we thought was a great resolution to the case. Then my ex-wife tried to back out of the agreement. Mr. Riddick had to file a very complex motion to enforce the agreement, which had been oral. We actually had to have a difficult court hearing in the matter. After the trial, however, the court rendered a decision which ended the matter in our favor. As a result, I have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in my retirement accounts, and my current wife, if anything happens to me, will receive all of my retirement and survivor's benefits. My ex-wife no longer has any interest in any of my retirement benefits. This was a fabulous outcome. And my wife and I were treated so well during the process. Great legal work and great treatment as clients. I definitely recommend him.

I have a disability EEO case with my workplace. So far, through consultation, I've spoken to Kyle twice and he is very thorough. I paid a retainer for consultation and the drafting of a letter of reply to a not-for-profit organization that was attempting to collect on a claim of a twenty-year-old debt incurred in a European country. Mr. Sternberg took the full hour to listen to my situation and position on the matter, answered all my questions, and left me with a sense of confidence that he was experienced and capable of legally handling my matter. His assistant, Mr. Martz, drafted an eloquent and robust response, which the other party continued to dispute, and I have retained their firm for whatever come next. I greatly appreciated their responsiveness; they were timely and set up the first consult within a few days of contacting them and the letter they drafted was sent out in a business week. I also felt that they listened to me and took the time to explain the matter to my satisfaction. They often caveated their statements, as many legal matters cannot be fully defined, it depends on a multitude of controllable and uncontrollable items, and they were diligent in ensuring that they understood what I could expect and what the most likely (but not guaranteed!) outcomes would be. Lastly, they took the time to reach out when this process was upsetting or making me nervous and ensured that we were progressing in a manner that was organized, coherent, and deliberate as opposed to making hasty, snap judgements. I would unreservedly recommend Mr. Sternberg for anyone that has a civil matter involving real estate and international law. (1st copy of review, posted to multiple websites)

I am a father of two kids and a project manager. My divorce was the first process in my life that I had no idea how to manage despite having a career working with people and two advanced degrees. My (then) wife simply dropped all communication and I could not get her to talk about the roadmap for separation and divorce even though we still lived under the same roof (and it was her idea). After being in this situation for over a year, I was getting depressed. I had consulted an attorney who had recommended me to just give my would-be-ex everything that she wanted. Then I found Ms Moheyer's support group and it changed my life. Every other week, for years, she has led this call-in forum for fathers at different stages of their divorce situations - pro bono, as community service! That group gave me the knowledge of what's possible and the confidence to be able to move things forward. In addition, I took an online workshop (the best $100 spent in my life) and got the tips on establishing dialogue with the partner that leads to re-establishing the degree of mutual trust enough to complete the divorce. Several month later, we were able to nail down some bullet points that were appropriate for us and helped us avoid litigation. We filed for mutual consent divorce with property separation and shared custody, and several more months later this was done. I still can't believe that in a matter of nine months, Ms Mohyer's support group and her workshop resources helped me get from a very dark place to personal freedom, stamped and approved by the court in MD. I still attend the support group to discuss the challenges of co-parenting, and this experience is invaluable. Here is why I would recommend this attorney: *she never pushes services on you. Instead, she lays out the options and I saved a lot by doing the things I had an option of doing the prep work by myself (like collecting some paperwork) that another attorney would have done at a handsome hourly rate). *She uses psychology to provide tools that enable some kind of dialogue between parties, making the process less painful and less expensive. I have recommended Ms Jennifer Moheyer to a number of friends, and now that my divorce is in the past and the "paper is dry", I hope someone in a similar situation (in DC, MD, VA) can get assistance.

After speaking with two other law firms, we decided to hire Eric Menhart, Esq. to represent us when dealing with a copyright infringement lawsuit. We hired him because he was by far the most experienced attorney we talked to in dealing with this type of legal issue, and found him very easy to relate to. He was very professional and responded promptly to all our questions either via email or by phone. Mr. Vernia represented me in three cases against two billion dollar companies, single-handedly winning all three of them, securing a substantial monetary compensation. In the first case Mr. Vernia filed a successful qui tam (whistleblower) suit against a major aerospace company which was overcharging government clients. The DoJ thanked us for our efforts and rewarded us with a substantial relator share compensation, together with attorney fees. In the second, retaliation case, Mr. Vernia obtained a substantial monetary settlement from the company. In the third case, Mr. Vernia tirelessly defended me, my family, and my small business against a large company who filed a meritless strike suit in their attempt to take my business down as its only competitor. He literally saved the case. I found myself in a bind: headed to a notorious Circuit Court and the senior attorney I had hired had pawned my case off to a junior associate who had botched it all. In fact, we were weeks from submitting the brief and they were totally unprepared. I was given the name of Ben Vernia from successful attorneys in that circuit and called. Most folks aren’t interested in federal whistleblowers who did the right thing but aren’t likely to yield lots and lots of cash, but Mr. Vernia cared more about saving my dignity and preserving my case. Hired Zion for a complex tax matter. Was in a serious predicament but he guided us straight, by giving sound advice and sticking by it. He always recommended doing things right and not be afraid of the legal result. He proved to be correct each time. Plus he is a good person with a kind soul. Yes, we paid him much money but he delivered each time. I recommend him highly. Try other lawyers first. They will give you fluff but not Zion.

Jennifer is a pro at what she does. She puts her clients first and that is reflected from her interactions with you to her tenacious will to get you the best outcome possible. I did my due diligence and spoke with different attorneys for my wrongful termination case and she by far gave me the sense of what the reality of the situation was as opposed to a perception of it. I was having an issue with my landlord trying to hold me to illegal lease clauses and other unethical actions after giving notice to move out. I hired Ms. Denny as D.C. housing law is complex. Ms Denny has an excellent knowledge of D.C. Housing law and is very professional. She researched the issues and handled all the communication. Her excellent communication skills and uncovering additional illegal actions swiftly brought an end to the matter. I highly recommend Ms. Denny and the D.C. Ms. Denny went toe to toe with the lawyer of the national luxury housing corporation of which I was a tenant of after my roommate (who was on probation for attacking someone and whom physically attacked my close friend numerous times) had threatened physical violence against me on recording. Under DC Code § 42–3505.07, the leasing office is required by law to release tenants who reside with someone who has harmed or threaten to harm them--however the lawyers at the leasing office would not recognize me under the law when I went about it on my own. After Ms. Denny got involved, the dispute was settled out of court within a couple short weeks (which had previously been going on for months) and I was eventually released from my lease at zero expense to me. I certainly would not have achieved that outcome without the help of Ms. Denny.

Start to finish - Jordan was great on my transaction. 5 months, 10+ loan documents, 10+ deal documents, and a couple last minute changes to all of them. He has great knowledge of what is "market" in the lower middle market, knows where to push, and negotiated both by my side and on my behalf. Generally just a great guy as well, which matters a lot when you are a small team! I continue to lean on Jordan and the team at Baker post transaction for all my legal needs.

My problem was decades old and I was unaware it existed until recently . Mr. Bianco was courteous and respectful . He helped me understand what I needed to get done and how he planned to help me. He was patient and was not overbearing. He kept things simple ( as I asked) and got it done in a timely manner. I was confident that if there were any problems, we would work them out together to my satisfaction. There weren't any problems and the outcome was exactly as I had hoped.

When I found myself being charged with crimes that I did not commit, Jeff willingly took up the case because it was the right thing to do. He worked closely with me to explain each step of the court process, give new information as soon as he got it, and followed up after the process was over.
