I once hired Woody Clermont to represent me in a personal injury case where a store employee injured me while mixing paint. Mr. Clermont was extremely diligent and knowledgeable as he worked up the case, and began to work on getting me a good settlement. I also have sought his legal advice in reference to some criminal matters that arose as well, and his advice helped with a not guilty verdict in one case, and a dismissal in the other. This was my first time having to deal with a lawyer and I needed one on very short notice after being served on a Thursday and court was on the following Monday. Luckily a family friend highly recommended him. He had in depth knowledge of many aspects of law, and he had a way of making the whole process very understandable. Marco had an answer to every question (and I had many due to the situation of being falsely accused). He is very confident, professional, and friendly. Marco was great at communicating, always striving to find a convenient time for us to talk on the phone and promptly replying to my emails. I hired Mr. Cohen after my first in-depth consultation with him. Having sent him some information prior to our meeting, I was impressed with the thoroughness and amount of research he had done prior to our first appointment. Ira is realistic so does not always telling you just what you want to hear while reminding you that he makes recommendations but you, the client, make the decisions. He has been imaginative, creative and dogged in his attempts to help me. His billing has been both reasonable and compassionate! My problems are complicated, his explanations of alternatives we can try, more than a little helpful. He has been dependable, courteous and shown enormous personal concern and he respects my input and treats me as though I am intelligent - attributes I have seldom found in my dealings with most attorneys. Im not much of a write and truly never invest time in making reviews, but i feel it is necessary for me to do so now.....
First of all, I would like to say that Ken Swartz was recommended to me by my ex-mother-in-law
while I was dealing with a Federal Criminal Case. At the time I was extremely hesitant to contact anyone. My funds were limited and the government had provided me with an attorney. But , as the weeks went on , I found myself further neglected by my court appointed attorney and grew extremely frustrated with my situation , and contacted Mr Swartz.
i can now tell you ,after all has been said and done, that it was the best decision I could have made.
If there are any doubts, feel free to google my case, Jorge Ramon Hernandez in Miami , FL.... my story was a very popular one in the news. Ken Swartz was invaluable to the outcome of my case. I was part of an indictment with 13 people, and the attorneys for the others in my case were shadowed by the abilities of Ken in the courtroom.
He was extremely fair in what I was charged, and after meeting countless other people caught up in the system, what I paid was petty to what others paid in legal fees.
He learned my case better than I did, studied it, prepared and and fought better than I could have ever imagined.
Long story short, out of an initial probability of well over 10 year possible sentence, i received a sentence of 4 years, was given the RDAP program which cut off 12 months, served my time at the Prison Camp in Miami, and was given 9 months of Halfway House time....serving only 20 months.
He is a great person, and an amazing litigator.... I would recommend him to my family and friends, and am extremely grateful for his hard work and professionalism.

I have dual citizenship, American and Brazilian, and I was seeking to obtain a Naturalization Certificate and a U.S. passport for my Brazilian four-year-old daughter. I left a message on her answering machine and she personally returned the call. And it was an international call. She explained me that at the moment, she was only dealing with large corporations. But she was kind enough to personally get in touch with another lawyer who works with cases similar to mine.
I've been dealing with some lawyers in the U.S. and this is the first time that I was not charged by one for the phone call. Moreover, it was also the first time I’ve meet a lawyer with such an elevated ethics sense, able to refer another professional for a particular case.
I am only an individual, but if it were a corporation I sure would hire this lawyer.
