I met Bo as a 3rd recommendation from other attorneys. They told me he was the man for this case. I retained Bo and right from the get he was in my face honest and told me a likely outcome. He's a regular guy that explains the law jargon in plain English. I was involved in a suit case and I only had a certain amount to settle the case. His tactics were hard for me to understand at times but in the end case settled for the amount I told him was available to me. HE NAILED IT! Hard worker cares about his clients and takes time to explain processes. Hard to find someone like Bo these days that actually has the motivation, knowledge and drive to solve my problem. I contacted Mr. Hancock after his name was given to me by a good friend. I had asked her if she knew of attorney who would be able to help my senior mother prepare a Last Will and Testament, Power of Attorney, Financial and Medical Power of Attorney, and not charge her an amount that would cause a coronary. I also wanted someone that she would feel comfortable with, and Mr. Hancock was the perfect lawyer for her. He was not only very welcoming, he was very understanding that my mom has early on-set dementia, and was able to communicate with her on a level where she was able to explain what she wanted included her the will.
I am getting ready to have my own Will and PofA's done and will definitely be contacting Mr Franklin to prepare these for me.

Mr. Hancock has helped me with commercial property leases and defaults to such. A last will and testament. He has also helped me with breech of business contract matters. My needs were bizarre to say the least! Now he is involved in a personal injury case for me. He does an ironclad job on everything. I broke my back on a boat driven by Jim Hinds of Grand Slam Yacht Sales there in Morehead City. I hired Clark, Newton & Evans, PA (Don Evans and Seth Buskirk) to represent me in my maritime personal injury case. I had already been through 2 other firms, who basically dropped my case because they thought there was no insurance coverage (it had been denied by the main insurance company). I was a little bit reluctant at first because they are mainly a transportation law “defense” firm, but since they came highly recommended, I decided to try them. They didn’t have a conflict, reviewed my case, and said they hated to see me get screwed, so they agreed to take it. It was a knock-down, drag-out fight from the beginning, and it was four years before I got anything. There were four lawyers on the other side, who tried every trick in the book, but these guys stuck it out, won all of the legal battles, and the other side finally coughed up 7 figures after 3 mediations, on the courthouse steps of a federal trial. Even after we settled, they went out after 2 other parties and got me even more money. I cannot say enough to recommend these guys, especially for admiralty cases, as they were the only lawyers in the case that apparently understood it. If they don’t have a conflict, you should hire them.

We used Don for both our buying and selling process. Buying process went smoothly. For the selling process, we had issues with the buyer's attorney and Don went above and beyond to dispute invalid charges on the closing statement. We didn't expect him to be so responsive but he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone looking for real estate closing attorney for buying or selling side.

As an out of state driver, I panicked when I learned a "personal appearance" was required for my traffic violation ( 86 in a 55 speed). I called no fewer than 10 attorneys in the area but not one (other than Matt) took the time to speak with me personally. He kept me up to date on the proceedings and achieved the best outcome possible. No mark on my license, no insurance rate increase, no fine, no points. My advice to everyone out there with a pending traffic charge is to hire Matt. He will work hard to get you the best outcome possible. Further, his fees are reasonable. Much less than what you'll be paying if you're guilty and your insurance rates go up.

Great Service and dedication! I talked with two other law firms to see if they could help me with a traffic violation. I was told by one law office that they could not help. The second told me that I needed to pay them $1,000 up front without reviewing my case and they would "See what they could do". I then spoke with our JAG office who referred me to the Matt Plyler Law Firm. Within minuets of talking with Matt Plyler I knew they were the right firm to go through. He let me know there would be NO charge until he did the research first. After two days I received a phone call from Matt letting me know that he could accomplish everything I needed and that it would cost me $300 LESS than the other quotes. I have since then referred several friends to the Plyler Law Firm and they have all been more than pleased. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I returned a product to a store owner and he claimed he would issue me a credit on my credit card once his credit card machine was working again. He never did after multiple phone calls and then sent me a bad check. Melissa wrote him a letter to "put the fear of God (or fear of lawyers, perhaps)" into him, which seemed to work, since he finally sent me a check for my refund that cleared.

Ms. Brumbach represented my firm on two separate occasions. The first as a member of a legal team who defended us against a former client. Rather than meet to discuss the concerns in person, this client was persuaded by an aggressive law firm to resolve the matter through the courts. Their incentive being the expectation of a large insurance settlement from a policy we carried at the time.
The second was as our attorney in a suit to collect fees from a client who withheld final payment for work we performed. Rather than meet to discuss, this client ceased communication.
In both instances she became familiar with the facts very quickly and developed a well conceived plan for both our defense and the merits of our claim.
We would not hesitate to engage her if the need arose once again.

In todays day and age, it is rare you find someone or a company, who is ethical, kind, and a fighter. Our family was crushed with by a dealership, with a devastating experience that occurred on a Saturday! Saturday night, I knew we would need legal service to assist us. Steve was retained to help my business collect past due debts for work done and services provided. Specifically, we had rented road trailers, ten, to a farm operation which did not pay and it was necessary for me to repossess them. We were unable to collect based on debtor's bankruptcy. Another case involved trailer repair work performed for customer who would not pay. Not able to collect. Another case involved contract to trade a diesel farm tractor to former employee in exchange for lawn maintenance services -- which were not provided. Unable to repossess or to collect as ruled by small claims court magistrate.
Steve did the best he could given the circumstances of these cases. I would not hesitate to use his services again and do recommend him to others.

Jason is a friend from church. When I approached him for advice about a claim from an auto accident that left me with permanent injuries, the time for filing the claim had nearly expired. Jason began to work for me immediately. He made every effort to settle the claim through mediation, experiencing the same frustration I had experienced with the insurer. Jason was marvelous throughout the trial. He prepared each witness extremely well, presented a well documented and thorough case, and gave keen attention to details. The jury award was substantially higher than mediation would have rendered. Jason Page has represented me for the past year in a case which involved a piece of longleaf timberland I own in eastern North Carolina. Someone impersonated me and sold my timber to a local forest products company. Jason Page helped me recover my damages from the insurance firm representing the timber company. My mediation was completed in January 2012.
I was extremely satisfied with his help on all levels. He was available and responsive through emails and telephone calls and always kept me in the loop with regards to papers that he filed and developments in my case. His background of working in timber before becoming a lawyer made him especially valuable in my case…volumes, pricing, optimal merchandising of a timber tract…all are a bit obscure if you are not in the timber world.
But in a broader sense, this is a person who I would use for any legal matter that he is willing to take on. His honesty, prompt attention to detail, and full involvement with the case at hand all commend him. With more lawyers like Jason Page, the public impression of the profession would get a big boost.

Hired Jonathan to transfer my business from OR to NC. He was able to do it quickly and dissolve the LLC in OR. The NC govt sites arent much help in telling how to do this exactly but I am sure they would be all up your butt if you did it wrong......so glad Jonathan was able to do this for me.
Probably the easiest lawyer to client experience I have ever had!

First time divorcee... What a difficult experience. I chose Katherine's firm because she was incredibly astute - immediately understood my primary goal was to have a civilized dissolution of my marriage. Life is way too short to get caught up in years of turmoil, hatred and ugliness for the sake of money... but that's just me. Katherine is smart, knows the law, and is both tenacious and fair. I was involved in litigation in another state and hired Katherine to represent me in NC. I shared legal documents from the other lawyer with her and she found a huge mistake in his draft settlement offer that would have cost me a tremendous amount. After that, I had her look at everything and she steered me through very tough negotiations with a deft and tough approach that resulted in a good settlement for me. Cory came highly recommended to me. I'd heard that he was a near legend miracle worker in the courtroom (a repeated D.U.I case that might have ended up really bad, he made really right.) . But I"d never needed a D.U.I. fixed. However! Crazy things can happen when you least expect it--a police officer going through your purse and finding EXACTLY the wrong thing for instance. After winning in court, and gaining a sizable judgement for us, he was able to turn that judgement into a secured lein on the individual's property.
