I would highly recommend Liz from my experiences with her in the past year since I first saw her for a consultation. She has been a go-to for questions for me as a mental health therapist: she is always prompt in response, gets me the answers I need, and is also personable and easy to work with.
For me, it's extremely important to have a lawyer not just from my liability insurance company because I know Liz will have my interests front and center. I also find it invaluable that she is well-versed in North Carolina laws - for me, these have involved everything from contract law to family law - as well as having familiarity with the specifics of mental health care. I run a small business out of Charlotte, NC. My knowledge of small business law is very limited. I was referred to Mr. Rex Morgan by a local patent attorney. Having a local attorney refer me to Rex said a great deal about Rex's reputation in the community. He is well liked and as professional as they come. Upon hiring Rex, I was immediately impressed by how polite and well spoken he was. His true excellence was in the court room when he defended our company as if it was his own. I have been working with Mr. Wenzel for about 15 years and he is a truly exceptional attorney. He is my go to attorney for everything. Mr. Wenzel is a true professional, do yourself a favor and make him your first call. He will get it done. He can handle extremely complicated estates and business transactions all the way down to the "easy" home close. Every time I call him he gets is done exactly correct!
Mr. Wenzel has handled many legal documents and transactions for me, and has delivered perfectly every time. I will share one story in particular that was so over and above exceptional! Keep in mind Mr. Wenzel can handle very complicated transactions but here is an "easy one" it just happens to be my favorite story.
My wife and I were buying our dream house on a lake in North Carolina. I personally made this transaction about as complicated as possible, it may have been the most complicated home purchase in history! Mr. Wenzel got it done, on time, and correctly and we did end up closing. That transaction probably made us $200,000 and it would not have happened without Mr. Wenzel.

I engaged Jim after a major investment firm froze all of my father’s assets, and subsequently the assets that I had with the firm as well. At 100 years of age my father had finally begun to succumb to a number of health issues. With diminished capacity as well as significant memory issues, he was declared incompetent. It was a very tough time for the family as you can imagine. My father had a revocable trust in place, and had removed the major investment firm as successor trustee the year before. The investment firm chose to ignore the provisions of the trust, and was not only cavalier about their actions but became virtually non-responsive. Jim engaged directly with the firm’s General Counsel and very appropriately got straight to the matter. Jim also engaged other members of his firm to assist, Christian Perrin specifically, and together they provided our family with excellent counsel and resolved all matters. The investment firm made things very complicated, but Jim resolved matters within 45 days. Jim’s approach was measured and extremely professional. His firm operates as a team, and we felt extremely well represented. Another member of the family is now likely to use their services for estate planning as well. I highly recommend Jim and the firm.

My family and I called on Jim 5 years ago to assist us in entering into a Guardianship for our brother, who was deemed medically and legally an Incompetent. Jim's knowledge of the State Guardianship laws, coupled with his excellent preparation of the case, took us through Mediation and final Court hearing with all considerations to the best interests of our brother.

We worked with the Armstrongs on our case after a terrible broadside car wreck where a Cable Company vehicle was distracted and ran a red light. Much was stolen from me and my wife. Even though I can't get rid of the pain and emotional trauma from the wreck, both Lamar and The Armstrong Law Firm as a whole were amazing from start to finish.

Mem's name and number came highly recommended by a friend of mine. We met in his office and I immediately knew that I was in good hands. We successfully registered for my Trademark and then filed 2 separate Patent Applications. Mem worked to help me with wording and researching the terms needed for the application of each patent filing. His meetings and follow-ups were always thorough and to the point. He is a fantastic communicator and no matter how little you know about the process, he makes it easy to understand.

At the time of her employment with Wells Fargo, Shaida Horner was assigned to work with me as co-executors of a family member's estate. There were many issues with this estate - real estate, excessive personal property, securities, annuities, life insurance, medical insurance issues, etc. Mrs. Horner was extremely helpful and knowledgable in all aspects of settling this estate. I purchased a car from a Northern VA dealer. During discussions w/the sales personnel two issues came up that they said would result in price adjustments. When presented w/the sales document which was filled out completely by the dealer's accountant I thought the final amount reflected what the dealer's sales personnel had agreed. I paid the bottom line amount requested by the dealer.
Three weeks later I received a telcon from the dealer's accountant stating that they had made a mistake and wanted more money to compensate for their mistake. I said no, and then wrote an email stating what I saw, as my position including compensation that I believed their sales personnel had agree as compensation. The dealers response was to demand payment. I responded w/another email.
After 3 months of this type of exchanges I called a friend and asked for a recommendation of an attorney in the Winston Salem area and was given Jeremy Foltz's name who I then contacted.
Then two days later I received a letter from the Lawyer representing the car dealer. I forwarded the letter to Jeremy who in a lawyer to lawyer exchange was able to settle on, what I considered to be, a fair and equatable solution.
This solution would not have occurred without the intervention of Jeremy.
Would I hire him again--Absolutely!

Ralph Bunch has done two loan closings for us. Both loans were closed in a professional manner. Ralph does the proper research behind the scenes to ensure that there are no hidden outstanding liens on a property. He has all the paperwork ready and is able to explain the complexities of the loan as well as the responsibilties we were assuming. His fees are extremely reasonable. I have dealt with numerous Attorneys with my real estate investments, and only with Bill did I feel that I had a person who really cared about my rough situation. I knew without a doubt he had my back the entire time! Bill gave me well researched and outstanding legal advice by taking the extra time and effort to give me all my options. I was very impressed with the level of detail that Bryson acquired for our case. We are a construction firm, this was a very complicated claim and for us to be represented by someone that spent the time to "know" about the legal issues, the contract and the construction was a pleasure. I'm likely one of the pickiest people out there due to past experience handling parental issues with lawyers in other states. 90% of the time, I had to correct mistakes from lawyers with an excellent reputation to lawyers who too late appeared to be missing some brain cells. This was through about four lawyers I hired and fired.
When we moved to Asheville, we searched unsuccessfully for a Trust lawyer some years ago. We gave up until we got a recommendation this year. Our work needed to be done and lawyers tend to make me nervous due to their inadequacies in past encounters.
When we met with Ms. Burt, I tried to trip her on her knowledge (as we did with another lawyer we interviewed and knew we wouldn't go to her as her knowledge was very limited). I was unable to find errors in Ms. Burt's documents. She's extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I've already recommended her to friends and I do not take recommending lawyers lightly.

My husband had mutlipule traffic citations in multiple counties in NC from his college days that resulted in a suspended license. Mr. O'Neal went to 3 of those counties to handle each citation.
