We had a very difficult adoption situation that required some one who was extremely knowledgeable in adoption law and had years of experience with adoption cases. Mr. Thurman was both of those things. On top of that, he was honest with us and didn't "beat around the bush." He told us what he knew, what he expected and what our course of action should be. I had the pleasure of connecting with Houston in the creation of a new business entity for a franchise opportunity. As a newly emerging small business owner, I needed an experienced attorney to (a) advise me as to the best business structure (ie sole proprietor, LLC, etc) for my business and (b) review my contracts. I'm a Developer/Broker in Uptown Charlotte & have contracted Ron several times this year. Ron has assisted me with several closings both personally and with clients. Ron is always prepared and detail oriented when going over all paper work; he takes the time to explain each document without the boring monotone legal jargon many other attorney's use that can be confusing. Ron has also drafted legal contracts for me at a reasonable price to help protect my interests in real estate investments. Unlike most attorney's Ron answers his phone or will call you back in a timely fashion. He gives great advice and explains every concern in simple terms. He quickly responds to every concern and is extremely fair with is time and pricing.
He has helped me out more than a few times with business and personal issues.
We had some concerns with our HOA that was dragging on for over a year. He took his time and was able to resolve it on the first visit. I had spoken with other attorneys and they wanted to go to court and charge a lot more.
For my business he has helped with complicated issues such as defending a workers compensation case and as simple as drafting legal documents to use with my clients.
The best part is that he is bilingual.

I want to start off by saying I trust him and feel very comfortable saying that Prosser is the top attorney in the area. I was involved in a situation where being a small company with limited funds I was being taken advantage of by a multi million firm with a large legal team. Once I finally made it to Prosser things fell into place and what I felt was a no win situation with the possibility of being dragged out for years was handled promptly and with positive results. His responsiveness is impressive, turning around docs, and returns calls almost immediately. I actually have him working on setting up documents for my company to ensure there is no room for anyone to take advantage of my services again. He has proven once again just because you don't practice nor reside in a large city and don't work for a huge firm doesn't mean you are inferior in the legal arena. There are a lot of attorneys out there but there are a select few that stand out above the rest and Prosser (Sandy) is one of those attorneys. Sandy has strategically helped me through multiple matters involving a partner buy out in one company, a settlement pay out negotiation instead of going to litigation and a larger matter involving loss in an investment. Sandy has a gift and that gift is understanding and interpreting the law to protect individuals like myself and my family. One differentiator about Sandy that I personally have not found in any other attorney is that he genuinely cares about protecting me and my family. Mr.Koenig was knowledgeable and professional as we reviewed policies
on home ownership rights and problems. The need to possibly change
or transfer the deed, the pros and cons associated with any change;
the other possible options: refinancing or sale of the home. He provided
specific facts and costs of each options, facts of NC law relative to each option, and positive and negative financial and/or personal consequences related to each of those options. We reviewed local housing levels of care options for seniors, from rentals to assisted living.
Lastly we reviewed the NC law on tenancy; the right to rent out a room
to either stranger or family; when and how one might evict if necessary.
Mr. Koenig provided dates of upcoming appropriate information sessions. He explained a remedy to an incomplete Will and Power of
Attorney. I surely will recommend him to others and will return to use his
services as needed.

It has taken me a while to get my thoughts on how best to write a review for a situation that was less than pleasant. I consulted with a couple of attorneys in the summer of 2016, when divorce reared its ugly head into my life. I instantly felt comfortable with Ryan. He was down to earth, and seemed to “understand” where I was coming from. I know that attorneys do try to “sell” their services by agreeing with you and telling you that they will be the best and get you everything you want in a divorce situation, but this simply isn’t true. Ryan didn’t over promise. The very first consultation, he told me what he thought about my situation, and didn’t promise me the world. He was up front and honest. I know most people do not think of the words honesty and attorneys/lawyers in the same sentence, but he didn’t try to sell himself to me. I appreciated this. I was in a weird state at the time, and definitely didn’t need to hear things that weren’t true (honestly, I had enough of that in my marriage). Anyway, he explained everything every step of the way. He never told me that I was calling or emailing too much, and trust me when I say, I emailed a lot. I emailed him a whole 10 page document of the situation and the past, and why I think things happened in my divorce the way they did. This information was probably not relevant to the “case”, but it was most definitely relevant to my life, and I felt like my attorney needed to know the whole story. He never once told me that I was giving him too much information, or to send it to his staff. I never felt like I was bothering him too much, and when I called “freaking” out about something that I received in the mail, he never once told me that I was over reacting or it was something I shouldn’t worry about. When it comes to my kids, there is always worry, and he understood that.
His staff is amazing and very easy to contact either through email or phone. In the court room Ryan fought for me. We got the best possible outcome for my situation. I am thankful to him as I am not sure had I chosen a different attorney that they would have understood me as well, or understood what I was looking for in the outcome. I am not sure the outcome would have been in my favor, had I chosen someone else. He knew my situation and my story in and out.
My divorce is final and custody is final and equitable distribution is final, but in most custody cases, it is never FINAL. I am sure that my ex will file for more custody/visitation, and I will have to go back to court, and even though this chapter of my life is over, I know that Ryan will be there if I need him in the future.

I am from Illinois, I needed an attorney from North Carolina, and Attorney Dedmond guided me through the estate process for my brother. I had to be appointed as administrator of my brother's estate (drafted and submitted the forms to the County Clerk) as he died intestate. Heath also assisted with the sale of the home in providing guidance to the closing attorney for distribution of funds to the heirs. Finally when the estate was closed his direction and assitance with the estate funds disbursement was excellent. I would recommend Heath Dedmond.

Before working directly with the state on what appears to be a straight forward process in handling the death of a loved one's estate, take the time and money, borrow it if you have to, to see Heath Dedmond.
My situation was a disaster after a long and difficult process of traveling back and forth while managing the care of my mom three time zones away, what seemed to be a straight forward estate will turned into a worst case scenario on a soul that was already worn thin. I came to Heath a depressed mess, having no choice but to move forward in a huge decision with only a slightly different set of options from bad to worse. Heath was patient and great at articulating the law in a way that helped me make a decision. He was quick at returning emails, and in the end he closed the estate as smoothly as possible. He stuck to his estimate of what it would cost to handle the estate and did so in a honorable way. Throughout the process it was clear that he empathized with the difficulty of my situation, but it wasn't until the very end that I realized he whole heartedly cared.

I first meet with Perry Fisher more than 10 years ago to handle a problem I was having with a company that owed me a great deal of money. The manner in which Mr Fisher handled this matter made me realize that he isn't just an ordinary attorney. He was extremely skillful, has tremendous finesse and had fantastic empathy for the nervousness I was experiencing as we entered the deposition for this case. Mr Fisher helped me get a financial result that was much better than I ever anticipated.

I was involved in a very serious automobile accident that has required me to have 10 surgeries up to now. If it would not of been for Jeannette and her associates , I don't know what my family and I would have done or where we would of ended up. The Kid that hit me had Nationwide Insurance and believe me when I tell you, "Nationwide is not on your side" when it comes to doing the right thing. They did everything they could to intimidate me and my family. Nationwide hired the biggest law firm in Raleigh , Jeanette never once backed down and made me feel safe. Her knowledge of the law was very impressive, but what was even more impressive was her work ethic and her compassion for someone that was almost killed by someone that was racing to get home so he and his dad could go fishing. She was constantly on the phone with me and or emailing me. I gave Jeannette the nik name of "King Kong Congdon" because she stood her ground for what was right against one of the biggest insurance companies in the nation. I will never forget the long hours of work she put in. I would get emails from her at 2:30 in the morning. Having her on my side made all the difference in the world.

I moved to NC from NJ, and asked Jeannette to review my existing documents (Living Will, Power of Attorney, Will) to understand if they met all the legal criteria per NC laws. The living will and power of attorney had to be re-done and Jeaannette re-filed these for me. She was helpful, and kept me informed and educated at each step of the way.

Although he may be relatively young, lawyer Ron Trimyer was very professional and smart. He was very knowledgable and quick on his feet at my trial.
