After a near fatal illness and treatment, my long-term disability insurance company ceased my disability payments. John Kennedy from Lee Shome & Kennedy went above and beyond all my expectations, the contracts he’s formulated for me are not only bullet proof, but really a work of art. The attorneys who receive contracts from Kennedy always compliment (although it doesn’t come out as a ‘compliment’ lol) the level of detail and precision in his work. The fact that he’s on the younger side makes him really tackle a job to fullest extent, nothing goes unnoticed and everything is iron clad down to the littlest details. Going forward (until his rates go up) I will always if possible use Kennedy for any business contracts I have nothing but high praise for this attorney, which is while I’m so compelled to leave this feedback for him. Beyond satisfied.

I would not go into a serious legal real estate or business related matter without him on my team. Steve represented us in a very long drawn out eminent domain action vs the city. While we settled our case, our neighbor also was involved with the matter and his case went to trial. After 5 months, Steve prevailed against the city and their three lawyers. As a witness testifying in our neighbors case I was amazed at the level of detail, organization and understanding that the Steve commanded. He made the three experienced attorneys working for the city look like amateurs.

How do I evaluate my lawyer, Steve McKinley? Let me count the ways:
Steve is an excellent communicator. In speaking, as in court, Steve is authoritative, assertive, polished and confident. In writing, in legal documents, Steve is an excellent wordsmith. I can't define what makes a good writer, but I know it when I see it. Steve's writing skills make boring legal docs come to life.
A good lawyer takes care of the details and deadlines-lets me sleep at night free of worry.
A good lawyer is emotionally invested in my case.
A good lawyer truly has my back.
A good lawyer is like the team captain.
Steve is all of these things and that's a comforting feeling.
What about the question of big firm vs. small firm? Freeland McKinley & McKinley is a small firm. However, you never feel isolated from the legal mainstream. Steve is very active professionally; always interacting with other lawyers. He has partners to bounce ideas off. And, of course, in this case, having a wife, Karen, as a partner is a real advantage. And then add an excellent paralegal, Melody, to the mix and you have a well-oiled machine.
So, you can tell that my wife and I are happy clients. It's difficult to try to appear not too biased when that's exactly what we are. We like our lawyer!

Mr. Malloy prepared a complete trust package for me, including a will and advance health care directive. I chose him because he was recommended both by colleagues and clients. I found him very easy and comfortable to work with. I was very satisfied with the work that he did.
He even makes housecalls for her elderly clients who find travel to his office difficult. Mr. Malloy works very well with clients, who due to their age or condition, are sometimes difficult (and crochety). He is very patient, answers all questions completely and returns calls very quickly. I have been very pleased with his help for my parents and my husband.
I recommend him with no reservations.

Dan Carlson worked hard to put together our recently concluded FINRA arbitration claim against a securities brokerage even though it was for a relatively small amount. I was impressed by his willingness to spend time explaining what we were doing and why. I never felt rushed or made to feel stupid for asking factual or procedural questions. He was responsive and pleasant, with a good perspective about the task. I can't think of how he could have been better to work with, and I've consistently worked with lawyers for the last 35 years. This review is long overdue. A dissolution is an extremely emotional and draining process period. The best thing you can do for yourself and for your child may not just be to get a divorce, but to work with a firm that genuinely cares about your circumstances and will fight tooth and nail for you. I get emotional just reflecting on how much more I got out of my dissolution than I could have ever imagined if it weren’t for Paul, Liz, and Linda. These 3 ARE the light at the end of the tunnel.
Who you work with MATTERS, especially if you’re involved in a high-conflict divorce with children involved. Do what’s best for yourself and your children and retain this firm. I can tell you that the positive reviews for this firm are merited!
I had an important question regarding probate law. I contacted my previous family law attorney, explained my situation and subsequent question to her assistant, and waited all day for a response. Her assistant called me back late afternoon with no answer to my question and the suggestion that I reach out to her partner who specializes in probate law. I was then told I’d have to wait three weeks for a zoom call to ask her partner my question.
I googled highly rated probate attorneys and stumbled upon Jenkins and Jenkins. I called, explained my question to the assistant and was put through to a cheerful Caroline Jenkins. She listened to my concern and answered my question, which enabled me to make the right decision to drop further pursuit. She also gave me a referral in case I wanted to go forward through legal channels.
Caroline, you are my hero. Admittedly, people make jokes about lawyers because many of them are just out to make a buck and will tell you the things you want to hear. When you find a lawyer like Caroline, hold on tight and save yourself from misery and financial loss.

We hired Ron Stormoen to help in a lawsuit in which my previous employers of 30 years were essentially trying to seize our retirement by reneging on the ownership they promised us early in the relationship. It was extremely important to us to receive justice and this money we had earned over our careers. Ron had faith in us and took our case. He smartly and successfully litigated our case and the jury found 12-0 verdicts in our favor on almost all questions. We won both the breach of contract cause of action as well as the intentional misrepresentation fraud case. I wish this had never turned into a lawsuit, but in the end I was extremely satisfied with the results. In addition, all throughout the case, Ron showed integrity and a commitment to the truth – he never was deceitful and played by the rules. While it is extremely satisfying to win, it is even better to do so without compromising ones’ ethics. I would hire Ron again (although I hope I never have to.) Good luck in your pursuit for justice!
