I reached out to this attorney for a consultation, hoping to get some guidance on my legal concerns. Unfortunately, I was met with a surprising attitude that left me feeling dismissed. Instead of the professional support I anticipated, I felt more like an inconvenience. I’m genuinely sad that my experience was so different from what other reviewers seem to have had. My brother was recently diagnosed with memory loss and Alzheimer's. We needed to get his affairs in order and we needed to do so quickly. He needed to revise and update his Will, Durable Power of Attorney, and Revokable Living Trust. With the help of Zach Miller, the firm's managing partner, we were able to receive these completed critical legal documents within two weeks of our initial contact the firm. Prompt and courteous service. My title insurance company had retained Rathbun Bateman to file a lawsuit to correct my deed. This isn't as adverse as it sounds; the relief we sought was merely for the seller to sign and notarize a deed correction of mistakes made by the real estate attorney who drafted the original deed. We only resorted to filing a lawsuit after the title claim representive had reached out to the seller multiple times, but she didn't respond. The lawsuit enabled us to, based on the evidence, to get my deed corrected whether she cooperated or not. It wasn't adversarial to the seller; we just wanted the right thing to be done, so it wouldn't complicate future sales of the property. Mr. Bateman was courteous and sympathetic to both parties and was able to calmly and gently explain to the seller that there was no need for her to panic, as all we wanted was for her fix something that wasn't her fault, but only her notarized signature could fix. She complied with the request and Mr. Batemen expeditiously moved the court for a final order and dismissal for the convenience of all parties. Now that my deed has been corrected, it no longer presents a possible barrier to future title settlements, insurance claims, or matters where the property could serve as collateral.

I am very unhappy with my experience at JGB. They neglected to follow up on appointments and the attorney was not pleasant when I has questions about the estate documents and I ended up with a final product which is unusable for our wants.

When my husband and I decided it was time to have our Estate Plan reviewed, we also decided it was time to look into getting a new attorney. We asked two of our dear friends who they used. They both gave us the name of Jeremy C. Johnson of Johnson, Gasink & Baxter (JGB). We decided to schedule an appointment just for a consultation. We met with Jeremy and were very impressed, not only with his knowledge but how comfortable he made us feel. He took the time needed to answer all of our questions, never making us feel rushed. His staff is just as welcoming, friendly and very capable of answering questions also. We are very thankful we listened to the advice of our friends. Brandon is a personable and intelligent attorney. I hired him to be my divorce lawyer. It was a difficult and contentious divorce. Even though I personally like Brandon I cannot recommend him if you have a high net worth and are receiving military and civil service benefits. Brandon had many clients which adversely impacted his availability to work on my complicated case. Brandon was unable to negotiate an in-house separation agreement, which cost me money in home expenses and left me exposed to shenanigans from my wife and her attorney. He also did not seek a legal remedy for the inequitable payment of home expenses. Consequently, as a retiree I carried the full financial load for maintaining the house. Brandon was unable to bring the opposition to the negotiation table. I had to email my spouse with an offer. In November 2022 we finally reached a settlement. I suspect that Brandon was unavailable during a portion of November, which delayed sending the divorce documents to the court and pushed the divorce into 2023. That delay cost me thousands of dollars in additional Federal and state income taxes. Even though Brandon was unable to bring the opposition to the negotiating table he advocated using an expensive meditator.

We interviewed several attorneys prior to retaining Mr. Waltrip. We found him to be down to Earth, humble, and respectful; but truthful and frank. He listened to our story with sympathy and sensitivity. He was completely realistic and reasonably managed our expectations. Also, he offered some novel suggestions about how we could conduct the case. Another great benefit was the fact that he lived in and knew the county in which our case was to be heard and he was familiar with both the judge and the opposing counsel. During the run up to the trial date, he and his staff were communicative and responsive to our questions. He kept us hopeful but realistic. He and his paralegal continued to be kind and polite. On the day of the trial, he was prepared and organized (not in the most traditional way). I must admit I was concerned watching his notetaking style, however when it came time to question and cross-examine, his mind was sharp and his words were articulate, clear, and hard-hitting. It was fun to watch. He had the passion of a competitive athlete and was hungry for victory. He jabbed, parried, and then closed for a knockout. He left the opposition flummoxed and completely outplayed. We didn't even need to call our witnesses. The preparation for and the experience of court was arduous and sometimes painful, but the outcome was as good as we could have expected. I am grateful to Mr. Waltrip and would recommend him without prejudice or reservation.

We retained Mr Bozof in a construction lawsuit. We were sued by a client after completing the structure. Thye just didn't want to pay us because money was tight for them and they wanted to use small issues with the plumbing to try to claim the foundation was done wrong. He immediately identified what we needed to do, and was able to understand everything that came up. I never had an attorney who understood commercial building code. He had several expert witnesses available too that we consulted with and they confirmed every thing he said. At a 2 day trial Mr Bozof cut to the chase. I think the judge immediately saw that the claims against us were bogus. Also, one of their expert witnesses wasn't even qualified for plumbiing and mr Bozof got him kicked out. It was quite impressive. We got paid, and they had to pay for our legal fees too. Very happy with Mr Bozof.

I was referred to Mr Bozof for a copyright infringement matter in VA, and he was excellent. In my initial consultation it was clear he had deep knowledge of the subject matter; I did not hesitate to hire him, and thankful I did. My goal was to make this matter go away as quickly as possible, and Mr Bozof did just that. He communicated with me consistently, and presented a number of alternative strategies along with the associated risks of each one. (mostly surrounding time and cost). I chose the least expensive/time consuming strategy with him, and he executed it perfectly, working with opposing counsel to a very reasonable settlement. Because of Mr Bozof, I was able to put a distracting matter quickly in the rear view mirror so I can focus on my business. I would not hesitate to hire him in the future.

Not only did Mr Bozof fail to do the work I initially paid him to do, he charged me a few more thousand to do the work I had originally hired him for. Then, he couldn't produce the work he "did". Be warned, Mr Bozo has a million excuses. At one point he told me he never gave his clients documents he completed for them. Then the roof in his office collapsed; then his admin quit and he couldn't get into his email; then all his documentation was destroyed in the roof collapse; then it was his new admin's fault; he was locked out of his email... You see where I'm going with this? Take it from me, Mr Boozoff is a terrible communicator who is quick to take your money but slow to produce any results. And if he says he understands the IRS, run-hangup-fake an excuse to keep your money in your pocket.

I can't recommend him more highly. I just wish I had more legal needs so I could meet with him and his staff again.

Chris and his staff are truly amazing at what they do. Anytime I have needed something done for my mom, they were there helping me with what I needed to be completed.
