I cannot say enough good things about Ben Rubinowitz and Allan Zelikovic at Gair, Gair, Conason. I was dismissed by two other lawyers who hardly listened to me. In 2018 my 11-year-old daughter was in a horrific school bus accident. It was very serious and were told that her survival rate was at high risk. We had many law firms contacting us every day. We provided a service for her and through no fault of our own it was rejected by the party she was attempting to serve. She attempted to shift blame on us even though she was provided a written response from the party involved on why service was rejected which had nothing to do with how we effected service. She has not payed for services rendered, will not respond to emails or pick up the phone when we call. Very unprofessional.

My experience with Effie has been great! After a hotel stay left me covered in bug bites, I had some difficulty finding an attorney that would take on my case in upstate NY. When I found Marius, I was desperate. I'd hired another medical malpractice attorney who a) did not return at least ten phone calls from me, b) cursed at me, c) kicked me, and d) was an arrogant SOB. I fired him as soon as Marius agreed to take over my case. And I'm so happy with him. He listens to me, asks great questions, is in regular and frequent contact, and is doing a great job. If he wins for me, I'll be even happier (but how can I give him more than 5 stars?).

Mr.Wesser represented my husband who has recently passed away in a personal injury case. He handled all aspects of the case in a timely and professional manner. In the 11th hour, as I was making my last ditch effort to find justice before it was lost forever, Marius listen to what I had to say. I was only seeking advice from the AVVO collective, but Marius went further, and saved me.
I am not naive: I understand that where opportunity exists, the void is quickly filled by the seekers of opportunities. But I am a disabled man living in Virginia who - because of the errors in the constructs of the laws here - was never going to have my case taken by anyone in my state without first paying a retainer that I could not afford.

Dear Joseph Sullivan, I am truly disappointed in your representation in our Father's claim. It's been 14 years since your firm has had our Father's claim. Our father has been deceased for years. We ask for updates but you have refused to speak to us. It's been 2 years since we heard from you. Our Father may not be a priority to you but he is definitely a priority to us. Daniel advised me not to countersue, after I hired another lawyer, the opposition offered money to settle. Daniel's legal advice was incorrect, he wrong was about a lot of things. Hiring Daniel was a mistake that cost me tens of thousands of dollars. He was very unresponsive and lazy.

Would give Daniel Szalkiewicz negative stars if I could, Daniel was rude and condescending for no reason. He will drop your case if you call him out on his lack of diligence and communication. Daniel is prideful and his ego demands that you to be grateful that he took your case even if he doesn't get things done or return your calls. Choosing to hire Daniel is a very regrettable decision.

I’m so disgusted with this person. I was referred to her peer who stated, “she’s a pit bull (or bulldog) in the court room”! I thought, “Man, that’s EXACTLY what I need!” She’s a pitbull alright... with you. She’s so condescending and showed little professionalism, care, or empathy. She failed to appear in two consecutive court visits, and what ultimately led to me parting ways with her was her not showing up to a Family Court appearance with not even a phone call to prepare me. But she had enough time to send a replacement who was incompetent regarding the details of my case. She misquoted my words often, showing that she really wasn’t paying attention to what I was saying. She never once entertained meeting in person. She never worked with me to understand a plan or strategy. She was clearly uninspired and uninterested. I met with her once in 3 months- the day I retained her. That’s it! The next time I met with her was the day I let her go for misrepresenting me. Fortunately, I was able to “negotiate” a 1/5th return on what I already paid her. She got no results and had the nerve to request another $4,500 in addition to the $5,000 retainer to continue representing me. She was representing me in Family Court and told me to hand her the rights to Criminal Court defense as well. I agreed to do so.
In her time representing me, she claims to have gotten me results because I have visitation with my daughter on my days off from work. When that was simply a message she relayed. She hasn’t actually gotten a result in my favor. On the criminal side, she failed to act in a timely and professional manner to acquire video footage of the moment of the alleged assault that was hindering my custody case even more. That video would have easily proved my innocence. Now I have to pay thousands more to find a criminal lawyer and family lawyer. I’m so upset.

I lost my job because of this lawyer and his receptionist. I’ve been dealing with this company for over 10 years and they messed up my paperwork. I’ve called for months and months and months asking “When will I receive my updated information and they kept telling me it’s in the mail but nothing came. The receptionist talk and treat me like I was beneath them because I’m an immigrant and needed their help. I was beneath them. They would have me on hold for 20 mins then hang up the phone on me. I would call back and They would pick up the phone and just hang it back up.They disgraced me. Finally I had to get very serious and asked to speak to their boss. That is when they had the nerve to tell me that my stuff was delivered months ago. But I did not receive it. I spoke to the lawyer and this man really had the audacity to tell me that he’s “not running a charity case” and it’s my fault that I did not receive my paper because I should’ve been checking the mail. He stated that I have to pay to start the whole process over, when I already payed them to take care of this issue for me. Now I’m jobless, almost homeless and about to lose my car. I am so hurt and I just don’t know what to do. I had to go and reapply and now it’s been over two months and I still have not received anything. Daniel C Gallagher PC front desk receptionist and secretaries have provided me with the worst experience I have ever had in an attorney office. The attorney Peter is outstanding but the team is very unprofessional. They have no common courtesy, no empathy, no urgency nor consideration for clients or my situation. I checked the online portal and saw documents request was made on my case almost 2 months ago with a deadline closely approaching. Documents which I had previously submitted is being asked for again because I have the lawyer’s address as I thought it would be quick and efficient but I was super wrong. I asked about the update with them and I was very rudely told that I will be called. It was until I took a day off of work and went there and saw that the requested document was already in my file for over 50 days but I was never called about it. I mean that’s the main part of their job to keep the clients updated on what’s needed for the case. I asked the front desk receptionist for a copy of my document so I can provide accurate details to the persons I am requesting additional information from, the receptionist basically shrugged me off stating they will let me know if new information is needed. What made me angry is they did not read nor present me with a copy until I became persistent. It’s either they are prejudice or simply have no decorum. Had I not looked and taken the initiative to visit the office, when would they have contacted me? Who’s responsible for this wasted weeks of my time. Only after I requested a copy she read the letter and then realized request for additional information was needed. I also asked for a letter from the attorney. the receptionist got up, went to the other receptionist whom I noticed is on her cell phone on social media, they mentioned my name between themselves … then frustrated she gave me a copy and under her breath she said “ Go Crazy”… I have been waiting and struggling anticipating updates everyday on my case. Every hour everyday is important. Then here comes these clueless Front desk receptionists, who tried to make me feel inferior when communicating with her. I left in such a terrible mood and is very disappointed seeing I paid a pretty good amount for their services, and to be treated like this by the receptionist is appalling. Looking down on others!!!! It seems their job is of no importance to them. The attorney needs new professional staff ASAP. I will keep this attorney on my case but these receptionist is nothing short of incompetent.
