Nelson Boyd Attorneys represented me in a bicycle crash and did an excellent job. They are a caring, professional team, where I got the benefit of them both working on my case together. Each brought their individual strengths to my representation.
As much as a legal intervention is an inherently stressful undertaking, Nelson Boyd made the experience as low-stress as possible. They did this by being good listeners, providing assurances that they were fighting for me, providing prompt and excellent communications, and always doing what they said they would do.
My suit was settled satisfactorily (they worked on contingency) prior to reaching court, which was preferable since it took nearly two years to get to that point-- though not due to any fault of Nelson Boyd. Going to court would likely have taken another six months or longer. My case involved personal injury and I would highly recommend this team to anyone needing this sort of representation -- and probably other issues, as well. At minimum, it will be worth your while to call them to discuss your problem.

So far they have been on top of things clear communication and got me into one of the best chiropractors/physical therapist. Mike Mazon and our office had a mutual client/patient who was treating in our clinic for multiple car accidents they were involved in. The client didn't have health insurance or PIP coverage, so we agreed as a favor to hold this person's treatment balance so they could get treatment for their injuries, with the understanding that we would be paid at the end of the case from the settlement. We did not have to do this, and did it only as a kindness for this person who could not afford to pay out of pocket for any amount of treatment, but nonetheless was injured and needed the care. This agreement was made at our inconvenience and expense but we held the balance for multiple years while the case was pending. When the case settled and we asked to be paid, Mike tried to get us to reduce our bill by over 80%. When we asked for a more reasonable resolution, he said he would teach us a lesson by disbursing all of the money to the client without paying us at all, in effect exposing the client to a very large debt and mounting collections actions as we tried to recover payment for this significant outstanding balance our office was owed. Not only did Mike retract on his agreement, but then he put his client in a horrible position where we had to go after her for that money. It was not clear that she was ever informed by Mike that our bill had not been paid and that we were owed a great deal for this balance. We never got paid a cent for any part of this treatment balance. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a more professional lawyer.

I was very lucky to find Micheal. I was badly injured at a sketchy bed and breakfast and needed surgery and 4 months off work. I called probably 20 lawyers and one of them referred me to Micheal. My case settled in 11 weeks for the maximum amount — unfortunately they weren’t properly insured but the settlement was the best I could have gotten. I felt the staff at his office was very supportive and even came to the airport to have me sign everything before I flew home to Michigan. I’m grateful that I had this help after this tragic fall. I walked out of a business carrying my new product and their entry had was iced up and I slipped and broke not only the item I just bought & picked up but both my ankle and wrist. I talked to the business & they gave me the run around. I contacted Michael and was able to relax. He not only got all my medical paid, I got a refund on the item (it was very expensive), and I got some for pain & suffering. I met Dann and was impressed with his desire to help. I had a small case and yet he still took it on and fought for me.
We received a settlement offer and I followed his advice on accepting. I then find out he went back and negotiated for a larger amount than I was expecting.
I was really impressed that after I received my portion of the settlement, I received a call from Dann saying that he negotiated with the chiropractor I went to for rehab and negotiated an additional $500 for me off the doctors bill. Dann went above and beyond for what I considered was a small case.
Dann showed me there is no small case only right and wrong.
If he went the extra mile for me I know he will for you as well.

I contacted Mr Olson after months of trying to deal with my employment problems on my own. He took the lead the day I first met with him. Mr Olson and his assistant kept me informed every step of the way. Having worked previously in in various law firms I know how busy it can become, but I was very impressed with the fact that I received responses to any of my questions in a very timely manner. Mr Olson and his assistant are extremely professional and personable, but when it came time to stand up for my rights he (Mr Olson) never backed down. I'm very pleased with the outcome of my case. I know I couldn't have achieved as much on my own, or as quickly.

Unknowledgeable, Way Too Expensive, Dropped the Ball and Miserably Failed Us
Paid $3,500 for absolutely nothing accomplished! Lacked basic knowledge and failed to get it yet charged a fee for nothing but excuses. Charge for reading and sending every email, even though the staff were not well trained to explain important information. Cancelled twice at last minute and was always providing unencouraging depressing hopelessness. Finally dropped me for complaining. THIS IS THE TYPE OF ATTORNEY WE WERE ALL WARNED ABOUT! Complete waste of time and money.

I have had an excellent experience with CCL and Ms. Choi in the matter of a complicated easement / title situation. The office staff was super responsive, appointments were scheduled quickly and in collaboration with my schedule/availability, and the meetings I had with Ms. Choi were focused, organized, and super productive. I felt that Ms. Choi was prepared for the meetings, understood what I was dealing with, and discussed with me multiple options and potential outcomes regarding this legal matter, which is going to end up in Court. I could not have asked for a better attorney for my situation (and I have consulted with others prior to CCL) and I very much look forward to my ongoing work with CCL and Ms. Choi. I arranged a meeting with her to discuss immigration matters and seek professional validation of the process I had completed on my own. Unfortunately, during our reunion, she seemed more focused on protecting herself than genuinely assisting me. I did not have a good experience with the law firm. My main issues is that Boyoon Choi would repeatedly interrupt me and cut me off before I could finish speaking and there were some mannerisms like scoffing (in a subtle but noticeable way) that came off as pretty condescending and I received a general negative feeling from the tone of voice she used with me. She was also 6 minutes late to our Zoom meeting but cut our 30 minute meeting short nonetheless so we really only had 24 minutes together. I'm sure she would probably bill the time for 30 minutes to my MetLife benefits and not the 24 minutes that I actually got. The way I see it, if a client does not have the correct understanding then inform them in a respectful way. Trying to be subtle with mannerisms like quietly scoffing or responding with a negative tone, one that felt a bit indignant towards me feels less like you're working with someone that's trying to advocate for you and more like you're talking to someone that's trying to take out whatever stress she may be having towards you. It seems that no wonder her staff seems to sound a bit on edge over the phone as I can imagine what it can be like to be subjected to that over time.
She also knew that my home is in Snohomish County but told me that she can't help with the eviction process in that area, but took my money through my MetLife benefit anyway. That's pretty messed up.
Lastly, I also felt it was problematic to be told that she did not know the RCW that covered why a 90 day notice to vacate due to sale is not enforceable unless it is specifically mentioned in the lease agreement. When I requested clarification for her to specify how is this the case, she could only tell me it's part of the general landlord tenant rights that a lease agreement has to specify that an early termination can take place due to sale and that this language would not be specifically mentioned due to it being covered under the general umbrella of tenant rights. However, RCW 59.18.650 clearly states it's permissible for a landlord to end a lease agreement early with cause for the purpose of selling a home.
Boyoon Choi should really be careful with giving advice that she clearly does not know the basis for. It is concerning when you ask for the RCW that she does not know it, and scoffs at you while mentioning it's part of the general rights for a tenant.
Anyways, here is what I was told by another source about the permissibility of ending a lease early to sell the home:
In Washington State, typically, if a landlord provides a 90-day notice to vacate for the purpose of selling the property, this is generally considered lawful. In Washington State, the enforceability of a 90-day notice to vacate due to the sale of a property typically does not require a specific clause in the lease agreement stating that sale of the home entails the tenant moving out. The standard process allows landlords to issue such a notice as part of the rights to dispose of their property, assuming other legal and procedural requirements are met (e.g., proper notice period and service).
Lastly, she was also incorrect about my MetLife legal benefit. She said I don't have benefits for litigation as part of my benefit but in my MetLife portal it clearly states: "This service covers the Participant as a landlord for matters involving leases, security deposits and disputes with a residential tenant. The service includes attorney services for the eviction of a tenant up to and including trial."

I hired Alex to represent me on a small auto accident. I was rear-ended and the other party denied liability.
Alex kept in contact and seemed to be moving the case forward for a few weeks, but suddenly dropped off the face of the Earth. I attempted to contact him for several weeks to no avail. His phone was disconnected, he didn't respond to emails, or messages sent on social networking sites. He gave no indication that he was dropping me as a client and I had to hire a new attorney to finish the case.
I don't know if Alex was experiencing personal problems but he did not give me the courtesy of letting me know why he stopped working on my case or communicating. I feel poorly treated and misled.
My hope is he figures out if he wants to be an attorney before taking new clients in the future and then delivers the performance he seems capable of. He nearly cost me my settlement by missing deadlines and under-performing. It's a little sad because he seemed quite capable and was recommended by an acquaintance who assured me he was a straight-shooter and hard-working.

We are contemplating a move back to Washington state where we lived for many years. Without proper estate planning we would potentially be subject to the Washington estate tax. n our initial contacts with the firm, we clearly identified that we were residents in another state. We were instructed to provide our detailed financial picture as well as our current estate planning documents which we provided promptly and told that our information would be forwarded to the attorneys for evaluation. The following is the email response.
“Thank you for filling out and returning your Questionnaire.
I will forward your information to our attorneys for review. Once they have completed their review, I will be back in touch with you regarding a quote for services and the next steps for scheduling.”
Well over a month went by with no word back from STIB. I finally contacted them by email requesting a status update. Within minutes, I received the following reply.
“Thank you very much for contacting our firm. Unfortunately, we are not able to take on your case. Our firm does not advise out-of-state residents on tax issues. Our focus is estate planning and long term care planning.”
The STIB website clearly tax issues as part of estate planning. I also found no restrictions on attorneys in Washington state providing consultation to out-of-state residents considering residency in Washington.
Needless to say, I was astounded by what I consider to extremely poor communication and timely follow-up. If it is indeed not their policy to advise out-of-state residents on tax issues, I would have expected to have been informed of that policy up front thus saving us the time of compiling and sending detailed and confidential financial and estate planning information. In my opinion, this represents incompetent and totally unprofessional behavior.

Awful, horrible and never again! I was in a bad accident in 2018, the insurance company wanted releases signed within 13 hours. I knew something was right so I contacted Bernard Law Group. I should have done better research and more calling around. 2 years of treatment came to a referral for a procedure my insurance doesn't cover, doesn't even consider it it's just flat excluded from the policy. 2 years of what I am now realizing was just lies and passing blame to the other side. 2 months later and I am still waiting and being fed more lies. Viivi Vanderslice is incompeten, doesn't listen to you and just does whatever she feels is best for you without discussing or considering your wants or needs. If I could get the fee they collected for themselves I would, they don't deserve even half of what they got.
