My wife and I came to Terry after we had the misfortune of being hit

A year after a distracted driver crashed into my car on I-5 and after lots of back-and-forth with the at-fault driver’s insurance company, I had not been able to reach a settlement. I was advised to seek legal representation and I, somewhat reluctantly, agreed. Seeking legal representation and asking Mike Myers to represent me were the best steps I could have taken.
Mr. Myers helped me to understand that I was significantly undervaluing my damages. He and his team took over the communications with the insurance company, which I found stressful and maddening. The team kept me informed of where they were in the process.
When it came time for my deposition, Mr. Myers prepped me and answered my questions. Within days of the deposition, the insurance company settled the case for the amount Mr. Myers demanded.
Although I hope I’m never again in a situation where I need a personal injury attorney, if I do, Mike Myers and his team will get my call—and much sooner in the process.

I met Jonathan just over 3 years ago after an incident that required me to seek legal help/support. I was turned away by one law firm and passed along by another law firm into the INCREDIBLY capable hands of Jonathan and his AMAZING team. When I first met Jonathan it was in a Zoom meeting. He took his time explaining how his practice worked, what I could expect from him and assistants. This review is years overdue. In short summary, Michael was an amazing lawyer and I would highly recommend him. I was involved in a car accident in 2018 where I had also been injured. I have never been in a car accident before so this was all new territory. Michael had come recommended by the community I lived in so I reached out for a consultation. He was highly professional and detail oriented, making sure to take notes about the accident and look through all my paperwork I had collected up to that point. After the consultation he ended up taking up my case. I feel that he made sure to give me the best deal I could have asked for. Him and his legal team always made sure to call and update me as negotiations continued and explained certain legal jargon in a way that I could easily understand. If you’re in doubt, just call Dubin Law. I was hit by an SUV as a pedestrian that caused a traumatic brain injury and they were absolutely indispensable in helping me recover. Coming back from all my injuries to this capacity wouldn’t have been possible without them. They stressed my physical wellness and took care of all the legal headaches I hadn’t any bandwidth for and I’m so grateful they did.
My lawyers Betsylew and Josh were personable, courteous and very effective. After talking to lawyers from other firms, my introductory meeting with Josh made hiring them an easy decision. Mr. Dubin seemed like a good guy with a brilliant smile. I only met him in passing. My caseworkers were always on point and never let me hang. The office manager Vivian Wang is one of my favorite people. Beyond being a tremendous human being, she went out of her way to make sure I was ok. I lost my mind and wasn’t for a while, but her check-ins sometimes made all the difference. That lady is brilliant and her kindness is something I’ll forget. She makes the world a better place. I never write reviews, but make an exception because David Abeyta and his law firm deserve an excellent review. My husband was the victim of a dog attack in 2022. We’ve lived in a quiet Ellensburg neighborhood for about 15 years and my husband uses a walker. When he exited our fenced area to our mailbox on the street, a neighbor’s dog came out of nowhere from behind, and threw my husband to the pavement, leaving him immobile with a broken pelvis and in extreme pain. He spent two weeks in the hospital and it took him a good six months to recover. We sought legal help from Abeyta Nelson, and David and his staff did an excellent job.
People sometimes think they can do everything themselves and don’t need a lawyer or think it will cost too much. But someone in an injury crisis may not have good judgment when upset and distracted. Good legal representation is needed and is well worth the cost of the services.
Insurance companies often pressure people to settle quickly for a low dollar amount, before the full extent of injury is known. Settling too quickly can be a serious mistake.
Here are the reasons I chose Abeyta Nelson to help us through this crisis to a good settlement figure:
1) When my husband was injured and in the hospital, I knew I was not in the right mental state to use good judgment;
2) I wanted specialized legal help from a law firm focusing on and current in this area of law with a good understanding of what a reasonable settlement should be;
3) The Abeyta Nelson firm specializes in personal injury.
4) The firm has an Ellensburg office, which made communications easier for me while caring for my injured spouse;
5) The firm has an excellent reputation and has secured many high-dollar settlements and judgments;
6) David and his staff were courteous and responded quickly to my calls;
7) David is very experienced in this area of law;
8) David personally visited with us several times, both on the phone and in person, including making trips to our home when needed;
9) David understands the administrative and legal complexities of working with insurance companies (including Medicare) and how long it takes to finalize billing;
10) David and his staff successfully interfaced with Medicare and our supplement provider to take the administrative burden off me while caring for my injured spouse – to me, that alone was worth the reasonable cost of the legal services;
11) I knew that if David could achieve a good settlement figure it would spare us the extra stress, uncertainty, time and expense (deducted from any judgment) involved with going to trial;
12) But I also knew that if the insurance company was unwilling to settle with a satisfactory sum, the firm is well known and respected, and David wouldn’t hesitate to take the matter to trial. Insurance companies know this too – they know they can’t manipulate the victim to a low settlement when dealing with a firm of the Abeyta Nelson reputation.
13) Having a lawyer represent us took the stress and pressure off me so I did not have to talk to the other party’s insurance representative, deal with insurance issues, or make difficult decisions without competent advice.
It took over a year during recovery working with David and his staff to finalize our case, but David secured a very attractive settlement. While one hopes never to be injured and need legal help, if you need competent, trustworthy, caring, experienced and respected legal representation, I highly recommend David Abeyta and his firm.

I was in a terrible accident while driving down Grady way in Renton Washington. I searched top lawyers near me and Linda Callahan popped up and I can’t tell you how happy I am that I chose to go with them!!! When other attorneys would have gave up they kept fighting for me and ended up getting me way more money then I expected! And honestly if if wasn’t for Tina I would’ve missed out on a extra 30k!!! I was impressed by Beau and the experience he offered my friend in her injury crash. The entire staff at Beau Harlan Law Firm was professional and followed through before/during/and after the trial. First off let me say I have never been so scared in my life as when I got arrested and charged with two felonies. What's worst of all is the crimes I was accused of I did not commit. I was facing five years behind bars minimum. I was given a public defender which I didn't hear from at all for a whole week. Thus starting my quest to find a good lawyer.
I needed to find a lawyer I felt confident would represent me well. I went to seven different lawyers accompanied by my brother, before speaking to Mr. Graves. I heard all similar things from the seven previous lawyers. They all seemed more interested in getting paid then proving my innocence. My first meeting with Mr. Graves we spoke for about two hours about my options and what his plan of attack would be. I felt very comfortable in his skills, ability and experience. My brother who accompanied me during this process felt Mr. Graves was the best for the job.
My case dragged on for almost a year and each step of the way Mr. Graves kept me updated. He was very prepared for different scenarios that might have risen and gathered as much information about the case as he could. After almost a whole year of dealing with my case it ended with a dismissal! I could not have been more joyous and relieved and I owed it all to Daryl Graves. If your looking for a lawyer with grit and honesty Mr graves is someone highly worth considering. Lastly, on a personal note, I was very impressed with him not only as a lawyer but as a human being.

I had been in a lawsuit with an international entity. Non disclosure prevents me from saying their name. Evan was my third attorney. The other two were puppets for the defense. Evan stood up for me when no one else would and got me back what was taken. I had a house paid in full a car. These people came along and tried to make me something I am not to hide the truth and flip the script on the lawsuit. I am no longer In The United States. Evan got back some of what was taken so I can move on and start a new life abroad. Those other reviews about his answering service. Look he does cases in New York, California, Washington, Arizona. I was referred to Virginia after being terminated from a position of over 5 years with no notice. Friends had told me that Virginia had experience with this same employer in a different case, and there was a positive outcome. This job meant the world to me. I was a dedicated employee with national awards to back up my performance. However, I was experiencing sexist remarks for almost the entire duration of my tenure there. After a particularly loud and hostile confrontation, I finally told my supervisor that I was going to go against the advice of HR and final a formal grievance. I was fired 4 days later.
When I first met with Virginia I was a total wreck. I sobbed almost our entire meeting, and I wasn’t even sure myself of what I was looking for out of our initial meeting. She listened patiently, and at the end of my story she gave me a very honest account of what it would look like to pursue a lawsuit. She didn’t paint a rosy version of events, and she didn’t even commit to taking on the case. Instead, she told me what I would need to do to prepare, and gave me a choice.
Throughout the case I felt confident that I was in good hands. Virginia was always open to questions, trustworthy, and diligent in her preparation of evidence. I truly believe that her reputation of ironclad groundwork played an emotional role in the final decision of my past employer.

It is never a good way to start the New Year being terminated from your current position. Not only was I taken by surprise when the HR Director asked to speak with me early morning of Jan 10, 2017, she was the only person besides myself in the the meeting. I was given termination paperwork and told that I had 21 days to return it if I was going to receive any type of additional severance from the company. I was also told that I should be able to collect unemployment. Considering it was only myself and the HR Director in the meeting - it would come down to my word against hers if I was unable to collect unemployment or if there was an issue with the termination/severance paperwork. Virginia was able do an initial phone consult with me which put my mind at ease during this stressful time. She let me know what information and paperwork she needed from me to review my case and a fair estimate of the cost involved in the review. I put together all the necessary documentation and met with her at her Downtown Tacoma office. Meeting Virginia in person was one of the best things to come out of my employment being terminated from my previous employer in Fife. Virginia reviewed the paperwork and settlement agreement and set up a phone consult to let me know what she found. I was able to ask questions of her on the phone and was given step by step changes to the wording of the settlement agreement that she recommended. She explained some of the legal wording that was listed so that I would be able to understand what my previous employer was trying to impose on me. Talking to Virginia gave me the confidence to stand up to my previous employer and to ask for changes to be made to the settlement agreement that was mutually beneficial to both parties involved. If I had not contacted Virginia, I probably would have just signed the paperwork and took my chances. I am so glad that my previous employer made the necessary changes to the paperwork that Virginia recommended. I felt like I left the company on my terms, rather than theirs. I was able to collect unemployment as well. I have gone to work for another company and am grateful that Virginia was able to help out during the transition from unemployed to employed. I would recommend her to anyone looking for guidance/legal advise as a result of an employment termination. I will use Virginia's Legal services in the future if I find myself unemployed again or in a motor vehicle accident. She takes the time to communicate with you and follows-up in a timely manner. So many legal issues now a days are so time sensitive. I received e-mails from her over the weekend as well as in the evening. She genuinely cares about her clients.

After working in the workforce for decades and having numerous encounters with discrimination, I had never sought the advice of a lawyer. Rationale was that it was too hard to relive the incidents over and even harder to try to prove that the actions of your employer were discriminatory. The behavior of my current employer became so egregious and unprofessional I had to seek consultation on either to sue or plan an exit strategy. I called and left a message and Virginia called me back while in training out-of-state. She spoke to me multiple times and instructed me on what she needed to get started while still away from the office. I was impressed right away with her efficiency!
As instructed, I provided her with input. She reviewed my input and we setup a date to meet. Prior to meeting, she was honest and informed me right away that she was not inclined to take my case on. When we met she asked some pointed questions and allowed me to talk, while she attentively listened. She observed my body language and passion. She then assessed my current situation and cared enough to tell me about what she could see in me as an individual being that she had been in employment law for 28 years. She offered me alternatives (i.e., a referral for potential employment elsewhere and/or encouraged me to do more with my small business). In addition, she clarified that even though she was not willing to take on my potential case another lawyer may view my current situation differently. She informed me of the statutory limitations, if I wanted to pursue further.
Based on her feedback, it validated what I already knew, removing all emotions. Her neutral, but caring, review brought me peace that I had not experienced since my encounter with my employer two months prior and it resolved issues I had internally NOT dealt with for decades. After getting hit by a drunk driver on 405, my boyfriend and I were lucky to be alive. I hired John to help with a personal injury case that I was unable to settle on my own. I wish I would have just hired him from the beginning and saved myself time and headache.
In the end, we didn't have to go to trial and ended up receiving the settlement amount that we asked for in arbitration. My wife & I were taking her car into the Ford Dealer in Issaquah for its 2nd service. It was a 2017 Escape with just less than 5,000 miles on it. As we made a left turn on a green arrow at the intersection near the dealership we were T-boned in the intersection right on the front passenger door where my wife was seated. We never saw or heard anything until we were hit by a women who ran her red light. My wife had it be cut out of the car and was taken Overlake Hospital with cracked rib and severe bruising all along the right side of her body. The car was totaled and it took my wife about 6 months to fully recover.
After working with our insurance company for a month it became clear to us that the other insurance company representing the driver who hit us was not going to settle this to our satisfaction. I began my search for a law firm who I felt comfortable with and decided on Weier Law. We were contacted by Theresa Buchner who became the attorney who represented us. We dealt with many great people in the office who did all the preliminary info gathering for Theresa. This type of claim required a lot of patience as it is a long process to gather all the info needed before we could even begin to settle our claim with the insurance company. Once Theresa started the negotiations it took a while of her going back and forth with the insurance company to even get close to a settlement. We finally had to file a law suit in order to get the insurance company to get serious with their offering to settle our case. Theresa was very persistent with her negotiations and we finally reached a number that we were willing to accept that would adequately compensate us for all of the damage done by the woman who carelessly caused our accident.
