Not sure if she's a good lawyer but their scheduling needs work. I didn't get a chance to speak to the lawyer because there was a mix-up for the scheduled call. They decided to blame me for the mix-up and said if I wanted to schedule another call it would cost me $100. No thanks. Plenty of other law offices available with better attitudes.

Do not hire this firm. They turn my divorce into a blood bath. They lied and fabricated at evidence and made my ex wife’s life and misery for no reason. They caused me to go broke and my ex-wife as well. All they care about is profits profits profits.

I was going through a divorce and child custody when i found Michael Fischer online. After speaking to several lawyers Michael was very professional and listen to me with my problems. I went to him because while pregnant I had made the huge mistake when I went to child custody court and letting my ex husband take our baby when he turned 10 months to PA different state. I knew I made a huge mistake leaving court that day so when I went back to court to tell the judge I was going trough postpartum depression and I wasn’t thinking straight I was taking medication for depression the judge refuse to acknowledge anything I told him. That’s when Michael came to the rescue taking my case. It took us a little bit but we were able to prove that my son being so young and sick with asthma could not go for that long to another state without his mother. Michael gave me back that peace of mind I had lost and we won the case. After that I also got him to do my divorce that took more time because my ex was making it hard for me. Michael again was able to talk to my ex and finalize are divorce this August. I’m a middle class person I live check by check for the most part. I was able to stay with my condo. Michael has reasonable prices and you pay monthly so that helped me a lot. Some lawyers want 10k up front. I would recommend Michael to anyone that is in need of a good lawyer specially when it comes to fighting for your kids.

My divorce started with me being pushed out of my home without a dime to my name and no transportation. My ex-husband spent all the money he could on accusing me of everything in the book. Ron helped me get back my rights with my child and dismantled every claim. This has been a difficult time and I call Ron for the right path to follow.

Mr. Sullivan took a 7,000 restrainer from me and then doesn’t know who I am when I call. I have had to repeat facts of my case to him multiple times and it seems as though each time he is hearing these facts for the first time. His receptionist, Briley is unprofessional and rude over the phone and hard to deal in person because she dresses so innapropriately and has an angry demeanor. I blame myself for not looking into this attorney further before hiring this office for such an important matter. My only hope is that someone else will see this know better before hiring Mr. Sullivan.

Well in my case she did not help me, seemed as if she didn't know anything about my case as if she didn't prepare she didn't know what to say, she didn't submit the documents that were asked of her or make the calls she had to, also when I went to her office I showed her some letters which she said she would use in court but when we were in court, I told her to speak about them and turns out she told me that they could not be used, it was difficult to contact her, because she doesn't call back this affected my case a lot, when I got her for my case, it was for divorce, custody, pension/child support and I eventually realized that she had only submitted the divorce petition. Also, when I asked for my case file, they would not send it to me so I had to go to her office twice so they give it to me and her secretary told me that she already had the papers ready to remove the lawyer from my case when I had not asked for that petition yet even the person I brought told her secretary that was not ethical, once she was out of my case I received emails with documents from a different case her secretary had made a mistake who tells me that they didn't send my case documents to another person? She charged me $4000 for my case and when the other party responded turns out that she tells me that's its another case and she charges me $2000 more I had be self represented because it is difficult to trust another lawyer.

Aparte cuando le pedi copia de mi expediente no me lo mandaban y tuve que ir a su oficina dos veces para que me lo dieran y su secretaria me dijo que ya tenia listos los papeles para sacarla del caso cuando yo todavia no se los Pedia incluso la persona que me acompan̈o le dijo que no era etico, ya fuera de mi caso me Han llegado documentos por email que su secretaria se a equivocado de otro caso quien me dise a mi que no an mandado mis documentos a otra persona? Me cobro $4000 por mi caso y cuando la otra parte respondio resulta que me dise que es otro caso y me cobra $2000 mas
Tuve que representarme sola porque ya es dificil confiar en otro abogado.

I do not recommend hiring the lawyer Mr. Michael Pascoe, who works at this law firm – and this is coming from a lawyer.
For context, I rarely post reviews and up until this review, all of them were 5 star reviews because it can be hard to run a business and I have real sympathy for business owners. However, a recent conversation with some friends inspired me to post my first and likely only negative review on Google – I’m speaking up because picking a meal is one thing, picking a lawyer you’re spending thousands of dollars on is another. People can have a hard time finding a great lawyer at an affordable price, especially as it’s hard for them to evaluate the quality of legal representation, and I hope my perspective can help out those that are looking.
First, some background on my interactions with Mr. Pascoe: my partner and I were looking for lawyers to draft a prenup – I hired one lawyer based on a reddit rec while my partner hired Mr. Pascoe. However, we both agreed that if given the choice again, my partner would never have hired Mr. Pascoe.
I’ll refrain from going into detail on everything I saw that concerned me, but suffice it to say that I would not recommend Mr. Pascoe to anyone based on what I saw of the prenup drafting, his interpretations of the law, how long it took to get things done, and more. Here’s just one example of a major problem in the prenup drafting - Mr. Pascoe (or someone working at his direction) had removed and then inserted clauses into the prenup that actively hurt their own client’s financial interests. In a few different places, their revised prenup stated that after marriage our assets would be community property rather than separate property – what this meant was that my partner, who makes more money than I do, would have had his post-marriage income, stocks that vested to him, his retirement money, and more split 50/50 with me in the event we both divorced rather than considered his own separate property which I was not entitled to. This was not what either of us wanted (plus if we wanted that, it’s the default in CA so there would be no need for a prenup), and I was genuinely astonished that Mr. Pascoe’s revision changed the correct delineation of these assets as separate property in the original prenup draft my lawyer sent to Mr. Pascoe. If I were to be charitable, perhaps they would have caught this massive error in the second (and last) revision they made – however, I’m doubtful they would have noticed an error of 3 words in a 20 plus page document given other errors I saw in their revisions (including their last one).
Again, I emphasize that my review is specific to Mr. Pascoe. Every lawyer is different and this review is not meant to be about lawyers whose legal work I’ve obviously not had the chance to see.
Hopefully my experience and perspective will be helpful to anyone who reads this review.

Over the past several years, since 2022, I’ve left several messages with my information and my husbands name and case information, hoping for a call back since my husband qualified for and is scheduled for resentencing. I have not been able to get anyone to call me back from this office nor the San Benito County Clerk. Nor has anyone reached to my husband or his prison to coordinate transport or virtual hearings.
How can the public be fairly defended and represented if the public cannot reach their assigned attorney?

Riccardo is hands down the best divorce attorney i have ever seen. He helped me quickly to get my divorce situated. Riccardo is extremely intelligent, he remembers details very well and calls the night before you go to court to make sure your ok and go over details, not many attorneys take the time and remember all details of your case. He has a very sharp memory. He’s very empathetic to medical issues. He is soft spoken but he absolutely gets the job done.

My boys’ mother wanted to have our current 50/50 court order changed to 70/50 in her favor. I started a new job that required me to travel for training the first several months. I ended up traveling a lot that first year. During this time, my boys’ mother was keeping a meticulous calendar of when she had our boys on my court ordered time. According to her calendar, she had our boys 70% of the time. Along with some other complaints, she and her attorney brought this calendar into court (thinking it was their winning ACE).
What she and her attorney didn’t know was that I had the winning ace. The real winning ace. Anna C. brACE. Anna not only helped me keep 50/50 custody, she had my boys’ mom pay for the investigator’s fees which where around $1,000. Instead of me paying child support, which I did for the first 5 years, my boys’ mom was ordered to pay me child support and arears for the previous year. If this isn’t a win, I’m not sure what is. I give Anna a full 5 stars. Thank you Anna!

Hired Kevin back in August 2024 for custody trial.
One of his former clients warned me about his incompetence, but in my desperation, I ignored them—and I deeply regret it. I paid for absolutely nothing. The judge literally told him to “shut up and sit down” because he had no idea what he was talking about.
Despite providing him with detailed documentation, extensive history, photos, and multiple evaluation reports outlining exactly what needed to be said and done in court, he showed up that morning looking hungover and completely unprepared. He didn’t even seem to remember what the case was about.
This man’s prime is long gone. He lives in a delusional fantasy of past successes, thinking he still has the same bite he once did. But in reality, he’s nothing more than a paper tiger—all bark, no bite. He’ll promise you the world, assure you he has everything under control, and then completely fall apart in the courtroom, leaving you to fend for yourself.
As for his son Ian Hutcheson, the so-called "Assistant and office manager"—he’s nothing more than a salesman with a rehearsed pitch designed to convince you to hand over your retainer. Once they have your money, you’re on your own. He repeatedly asked me to send the same documents over and over again, even just days before my court appearance. It’s clear he has zero passion for his job—he’s just there to collect an easy paycheck from his dad.
This tiny three-person office is drowning in cases. They are slow to respond, consistently unprepared for hearings, and quick to shift the blame onto their clients for their own failures. If you hire them, expect to be ignored, gaslit, and ultimately let down when it matters most.
Final Verdict: Do. Not. Hire. This. POS. Lawyer.
If you do, document everything via email—but even then, don’t expect it to protect you. Kevin will still find a way to screw you over, and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.
Hiring Kevin was a colossal mistake. Save yourself the frustration, money, and regret—find someone else.

Believe the few bad reviews of Kevin elsewhere. I didn't and regrettably paid for nothing - it wasn't until we appeared in court where he traded bro jokes with the judge while opposing counsel took charge that I realized my error. His son who did the paperwork was equally incompetent (repeatedly losing documents) days before the court appearance . Either my case to pay for our kid to go to a coveted private school was hopeless to start or KEVIN had too many cases in court that day to even recall how to represent me, I don't know…best you not hire him to find out.

Kevin is incredibly knowledgable and smart, and he is one of the very few lawyers who can handle high-conflict trial cases well. He is never afraid of litigation and will maximize your chance of winning. He won the restraining order against me in multiday trial. The opposing attorney is highly competitive, and I can see both him and the judge respect Kevin highly for his knowledge of law and litigation skills. He also got what I want for support and custody issues. Yes he is expensive, but he uses my money very efficiently. I highly recommend Kevin for any family cases.

After my disabled son’s wife filed for divorce and exploited his impairments by tricking him into signing all community property to herself - as his Power of Attorney I retained counsel. After six months of her deceptive/deterrent tactics - despite being sanctioned $1500 for them - we switched lawyers in December 2021. We retained Krista based on all of the 5-star reviews about her successfully fighting for other clients; but after ten months of giving her the benefit of the doubt, and wanting to avoid starting over with a third attorney, we ended up having a zero-star experience.
She did disclose that a few upcoming medical procedures might slow progress, but they caused major delays and seriously compromised her performance.
Due to COVID, she was working from home with no staff. Lacking support, her communications with us and the petitioner were mostly via informal emails which were often delayed. There were also significant enough errors in emails to the petitioner, that I began drafting them for accuracy myself so she could copy/paste and send them.
Due to the thousands resulting from the petitioner’s non-compliance, I told Krista that I wanted to ask for legal fees in the settlement - but she said we shouldn’t since the petitioner didn’t have an attorney, and a judge would see it as bullying.
When it came to making timely repairs to the neglected marital home to maximize profit and list it during a sellers-market bubble, Krista kept making allowances for the petitioner’s ongoing deterrent tactics, which postponed our ability to list it until the market was on the decline - diminishing potential proceeds.
Once there was an offer and a closing date set for the end of September 2022, a critical document requiring my son’s signature was emailed to her at the end of August 2022; but with only a few days til closing, our panicked real estate broker was asking where it was. When I called her about it, Krista found and forwarded it to us [with no apology for the oversight or stress/inconvenience], and we had to scramble to get it to the buyer’s broker in time.
After the sale of the house, she rescheduled a phone appointment last minute - only to no-show us at the re-scheduled time! When she missed calling by 15 minutes, I texted but got no reply. At the half-hour point, I called and left a voicemail, but she didn't call back until a few hours later. With no apology, she said that the appointment didn’t show up on her calendar, that she had been at the Verizon store all morning, so could we reschedule again! At this point, I terminated her services.
Since the majority of her 5-star reviews included her then assistant and go back to 2014 - I am posting this to save others from the frustration, stress, expense, and lost time that we experienced.

Carl was reccomended through Modest means bar association, and he sounded quite competent upon initial consultation. I brought all the case documents to him and paid the retainer. After that a bad divorce/child custody case case I hieredCarl to help me with went from bad to worse. He lost my court paperwork, stating I never gave it to him. Then he said that the child support court date I requested was not on calendar, and most probably was never filed.....turns out I wasn't crazy, and there was a court appearance I, thanks to Carl missed. As a result, my x is now seeing me for his lawyers fees.
Then Carl dissapeared, and I mean for almost 3 month and right before another court date.....which didn't happen due to start of Covid, but I had to ask my x to find out what is going on, since I thought Carl was sick with Covid and probably dying or dead...he wasn't. After 3 month of texting, calling, and emailing, to no avail, I reached out to Bar association that recommended this stellar professional, to see if he actually passed away, and how I could get my case documents and my retainer fee back. That's when Carl finally decided to answer my call. There is allot more, but all I will say is that other party filed motions, requesting documents I knew nothing about, as I moved, and Carl didn't bother notifying court of my address change, nor me about anything going on with the case. The one and only court appearance was done via phone, because he was in another state, attending family function, and he remained silent, not speaking up for me throughout the whole proceeding. When I asked what is going on, and showed my displeasure with what is going on, he said that he will not be able to proceed with my case....I think it was the best thing Carl has done for me.
I have never encountered such incompetence, lack of professionalism, and outright disregard for the work he charges clients money for.
I now have to pay allot of money to have another lawyer fix the mess Carl made out of my case in a short period of time.
Carl doesn't deserve the one star. If you are considering hiring this "professional " because he is inexpensive compared to others, think again.....you are better off on your own.

Ryan’s firm did an excellent job for us when our home insurance denied our claim that they had previously approved for a bursted pipe in our kitchen. I first tried reasoning with insurance to no avail, then tried California insurance commission and they were of no help. This firm took over and they did all the communication with insurance and their attorneys. We received full payment of the original quoted bids to redo our kitchen. I’d definitely recommend this firm.

I wasted tens of thousands of dollars being taken advantage of by this firm... lawyers that couldn't even get my name correct, didn't communicate with eachother, and accomplished literally nothing for me in my divorce. They continually tried to "go to war" with my ex-husband and billed me for things that were completely unnecessary, stoking a fire that did not even need to be lit. Funny how I was able to get my divorce finalized and processed with no anxiety or headache once I fired this firm. They took advantage of a vulnerable single mother and should be ashamed of themselves.

Beyond rude to people trying to do the right thing and pay off an debit. They refuse to send you anything via the mail such as receipts or agreements for payment contract but want your debit card info, imagine that. The employee Aaron i spoke with hung up on me when asking how we’d go about sending receipts and placed me on hold about 20 times in our hour long bs conversation. Hopefully I’ll be able to speak to someone perfessional to get this resolved as that’s what I was attempting to do.

Koryn Sheppard is a tough-nosed, no-nonsense attorney who does not mince her words, keeps the opposing counsel honest, and diligently and compassionately asserts her client's rights without any doubts. As far as issues in dispute, she will cut to the chase and save the client time and money. In the same respect, when an olive branch is extended to her to discuss matters reasonably, she knows how to take the gloves off to extend a handshake when things just need to be simple and reasonable. I would recommend her without a second thought.

Robin warmed up to our child and they really bonded while taking walks around Robins office while they spoke with each other. This is not something I typically do - writing a review for an attorney - but thanks to an “unhealthy” and highly litigious ex-wife, I’ve had more lawyers in my life than I care to admit. Since I unfortunately have a lot of experience within the family law system, I can say with the utmost confidence that Lorie Nachlis, without question, is the best family law attorney you will ever find.
My case had a little bit of everything but, from the moment I met Lorie during the search for representation process, I knew she could expertly handle it all, and she most certainly did. I worked closely with Lorie for years - yes, it took years as my ex had us in and out of court as if it was a revolving door - yet Lorie remained invested, focused, and vigilant through it all.

Family law is an interesting specialty - they attorneys there are your advocates, but also they need to really think about what is best for your family and what is going to be possible within a court system that has the best interests of the children first in mind. And its hard to know what you want and there is no instruction manual about how to deal with some really tough questions and decisions so at best they are able to help you think all that through and reach a good place for you. There are a lot of lawyers out there that may not be the best lawyer for you.
Natalia and her team have been great over the last six years. She knows the court and the court system and was able to explain to me the process, the judges and magistrates, even the mediation process. She helped me understand not just my options, but helped me think about how my choices might affect my family and what might be best for them too. She brought in specialists when needed that were very helpful and informative. She treated my counterparty with kindness and respect even when those things were hard for me to find. She was always responsive and available when I needed her.
