I had previous offences for the same misdemeanor level crime. Mr. Gregory helped me immensely and for a very fair and modest price. I still have a clean record thanks to him. Denis represented me both in a divorce and misdemeanor case. He was professional, understanding and had the respect of the judge and prosecutors. I was involved in an injury accident. I had been drinking. The prosecutor charged me with a felony and was not willing to deal with any lesser pleas. Denis spent 100's of hours getting ready for the trial and could not have handled things better. The jury came back with not guilty. I hope I never need another lawyer but if I do I will go straight to Denis. I recommend that if you need a lawyer that you should hire Denis as he is a real professional and a stand up guy. He and his staff helped me get through a very stressful and frightening time.

Everyone in the firm was professional and prompt in thier dealings, and Sarah won me over not only in our first phone interview but with each time we messaged or spoke afterward, too. Sarah Steslicki and her paralegal Jennifer are amazing! I HIGHLY recommend! I had a previous attorney who sat on my step parent adoption case for 3 years and I had to hound her to get anything done. Sarah/Jennifer were friendly, motivated, familiar with the process and ready to go. She had everything done and closed in 10 months. Her process with everything being in a portal, including copies of every document and invoices was very helpful to keep us informed so we had no anxiety about her capabilities. I have been working with Matthew for two years. Matthew's convictions are clear and he will be brutally honest with you. In Matthews LinkedIn profile he describes himself as "Aggressive and knowledgeable". I would agree with that. Not only in the court room but with the client as well. I was afraid to communicate with Matthew. I cried after every conversation. Matthew has zero bedside manner. Matthew will break you down to build you up. I do not agree with this tactic at all. However, anxiety driven Matthews representation was I had confidence in him. He always showed up for me and represented me well. Until now. Recently Matthew has resigned from his firm. For reasons unbeknownst. While I am being represented well by his associates, I do feel abandoned in my darkest hour. I invested in Matthew not just financially. I am saddened to report that he has not reached out to me or offered any guidance or support moving forward. I suspect that Matthew is distracted and may have never been the best person for the job. Please look for representation that sincerely cares and won't abandon you one week before mediation. Matthew has raised his rates multiple times over the last two years just to quit on me when the going gets tough. His reasonings likely have nothing to do with my case but a testament to his character. He should retire and move on with his life despite his skills and abilities.

Matt is an excellent divorce attorney. I interviewed 4 attorneys before signing with Matt and I'm so glad I did. Matt is experienced, diligent, supportive and patient and in the end his negotiation/mediation skills were amazing. He was also very experienced in front of the judges. No matter what my case threw at him (and it was A LOT) He got it done every single time, no matter what was needed he made sure that I was protected and accomplished everything in a timely manner.....and there were times it wasn't easy. When he says "I represent YOU" he means it. Matt has an outstanding office staff, very professional and competent. I am not necessary a proponent of divorce but if you need one and you are a female....Matt is who you want, trust me on that.

I have used Cheryl to handle several matters and am astounded at the success. She is the most knowledgeable attorney I have met in regards to divorce, PPO's and the legal process in general. The nice thing about Cheryl is that she knows Monroe county, she understands how the judges think and makes her plan around that. She is almost like this quite lioness hiding in the weeds, she jumps out and pounces on her prey and they never see it coming. I was referred to this office by some other acquaintances that have used their services. Since working with them, the staff has been very pleasant, helpful and compassionate during this difficult time. Mr. Williams has been very responsive and has kept in communication regarding my case every step of the way. I would recommend this office for any of your legal needs. Social security and the state of Michigan is very difficult to work with and Jameel is doing everything in his power to get a favorable outcome for my case. Awful experience,the attorney did not even prepare for the case at all. Do not recommend this office,neither Amber Lee , nor Elimitix office in general, especially for any CDL or driving tickets. Unprofessional, unprepared and non answering when they realized it was their fault for going unprepared to the court. And not talking about some heavy and sofisticated preparation, they went to court fight a CDL ticket without knowing it was a CDL driver. You are better off finding other lawyers in the area, we found some professional ones, but too late after this lawyers’ office fault and non-action.

Laurel was very honest and told me that based on my case, I needed to plan for paying alimony. She said the real question was how much and for how long? "If your child does not come with you for your parenting time, then you pick your child up, throw them over your shoulder, strap them in your car, and shut them in their room at your house." This was the advice Rex Brueggemann gave me when, in 2022, I engaged with him to represent me in the separation from my non-married partner of over 15 years.
Rex consistently gave me advice that was counter to my interests as a father/parent and as a business owner.
His tactic seems to rely on heavily pressuring his clients to "settle", much to the favor of the opposing party, while not acting on my requests that would balance the end results of the ruling order.
In the end, I had to terminate my engagement with Rex and hire another attorney to represent me. Hiring Rex was a waste of time and money, and it cost me significant leverage with gaining equal parenting time for my children. In the end, he wouldn't even refund the balance of my retainer, adding to the ridiculousness of this experience.
I only hope this review helps others save time and money and hardship.

Hired Rex to assist in the facilitation of my divorce. Helped me save my company, fairly allocate the estate, and negotiate through marital assets. Rex was communicative, understanding, thorough, and successful.
He later helped successfully terminate un unnecessary PPO filed by previous spouse and followed through on his strategy to prove innocence. Rex had a difficult job ahead of him and I believe he did as much as he was able to.
Rex understands the system, the local agents at play, and will advise you with real time data and knowledge. I didn't always agree with Rex, but trusted him fully and chose to let him lead. We ended up with the most desirable outcome of a terribly undesirable situation.

Paul and Kelly are the dream team. Their whole staff is wonderful. I had a highly contested custody hearing that had been going on for about 2 years at the time I retained Paul and Kelly. I retained this attorney and paid him 3000$ in a custody case. After settling with the other party on our own and no longer needing this attorney, as well as canceling the court date. I then received a bill from Paul Scott for another $2500 after no longer needing his service. Would never recommend this attorney to anyone.
