Worst experience ever, this office cares about money and nothing else and will find every way to screw you over!!! There are far better attorneys out there! Avoid this office like the plague!!!!! If you have any frustrations with them and try to voice them, even in a respectful manner, they hang up the phone and refuse to speak to you! Terrible place overall and a complete lack of communication throughout! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

When my rights were being trampled over, Bedford twp Veteran Center pointed me to Mr. Blume as a lawyer. He is very good at rerouting your mind when you are speaking to him about your case, if you get distracted with non important details, he keeps you on track essentially saving your money/time.
When you hire Mr Blume, you are getting a lot more than you think for your retainer and continued fees.
He is simply worth more than what he charges, and that is my bottom line.
If you give him all of your evidence and annotations etc, he handles the court room; You can mostly sit back and watch him work. Unless I am spoken to, I keep my mouth shut entirely unless directed, and it works out every single time.
When you hire Mr. Blume, he really is All In on your case. He is very very perceptive of peoples' mannerisms, and knows how to approach multiple situations that are all pretty high stress. He is respectful to the court, and he will make sure your concerns are heard while in the hearing.
*Have patience, always*; court often moves slow. Sometimes there are days you all show up with lawyers and the court doesn't handle the business You wanted. That's more often than not, out of a lawyers control.
In the end, do you want what's best for you and yours? This man will help you get there.
I type this as I was awarded majority custody of my kiddos through our efforts together, and I cannot thank him enough for his efforts.

I will always be so grateful and appreciative for how Sean Blume handled my divorce. I was so lost, vulnerable and alone once I realized my marriage was over. I talked to the Judge TODAY… and she stated I should’ve been “noticed” about the court hearing way before Noon! & he did not call me until noon afterwards. The court documents my ex husband sent me; was NOT SIGNED BY THE JUDGE & She told me she did that because she knew I would’ve been there if I was noticed! He unprofessionally went to my child’s school as a threat to them & let my ex husband take them from me! I am now able to sue my ex husband, Mr O’Connor, the school and anyone involved according to the Judge!!! I have proof and all , heading to Westland police station to show them this FALSE paperwork to get my kids TODAY! Nice try and good luck on being sued cause the judge wanting me to sue you, is the one where the hearing was at and I have proof of it all because my ex husband is such an addict & drunk, he didn’t notice it wasn’t issued by the judge at all & he rightfully cannot go to the school to intimidate them with my ex husband.

The worst experience ever!!! They literally charged me $1,500.00 to e-mail my papers to the FOC! I hired Mr. Dawson and was passed on to some assistant attorney who never sat down with me to go over my case or give me any type of counseling! Child support law is an area I’m not familiar with.. first because I wasn’t born or raised here. Second, because my original FOC order had been agreed privately. I went to the hearing not knowing what to expect…In fact, a week and half before the hearing, I called very upset and complaining that I hadn’t heard from them and was completely lost and needed their guidance! In the end I went to a hearing nervous and totally unprepared to what my ex was objecting to. Hope you make good use of the 1500.00 that I had to borrow to pay for your “non-counseling” services!!!

I have been working with Matthew for two years. Matthew's convictions are clear and he will be brutally honest with you. In Matthews LinkedIn profile he describes himself as "Aggressive and knowledgeable". I would agree with that. Not only in the court room but with the client as well. I was afraid to communicate with Matthew. I cried after every conversation. Matthew has zero bedside manner. Matthew will break you down to build you up. I do not agree with this tactic at all. However, anxiety driven Matthews representation was I had confidence in him. He always showed up for me and represented me well. Until now. Recently Matthew has resigned from his firm. For reasons unbeknownst. While I am being represented well by his associates, I do feel abandoned in my darkest hour. I invested in Matthew not just financially. I am saddened to report that he has not reached out to me or offered any guidance or support moving forward. I suspect that Matthew is distracted and may have never been the best person for the job. Please look for representation that sincerely cares and won't abandon you one week before mediation. Matthew has raised his rates multiple times over the last two years just to quit on me when the going gets tough. His reasonings likely have nothing to do with my case but a testament to his character. He should retire and move on with his life despite his skills and abilities.

Matt is an excellent divorce attorney. I interviewed 4 attorneys before signing with Matt and I'm so glad I did. Matt is experienced, diligent, supportive and patient and in the end his negotiation/mediation skills were amazing. He was also very experienced in front of the judges. No matter what my case threw at him (and it was A LOT) He got it done every single time, no matter what was needed he made sure that I was protected and accomplished everything in a timely manner.....and there were times it wasn't easy. When he says "I represent YOU" he means it. Matt has an outstanding office staff, very professional and competent. I am not necessary a proponent of divorce but if you need one and you are a female....Matt is who you want, trust me on that.

Matthew Caplan represented me. The divorce settlement was good, but there were flaws in putting the extended PPO in the LEIN system when he represented me after 2 years. I emailed him and his assistants multiple times and he did not respond. This forced me to hire a process server to serve the respondent at my cost. I spent over $80,000 for my divorce payable to DAWN and the LEAST he could do was rectify the PPO situation when he was my acting attorney. My life and well-being were in jeopardy and he chose to ignore my pleas. If you are looking to spend a lot of money on a divorce and someone to NOT follow through, this is your man.

My name is Danyelle. I have to use lyles phone and e mail to exercise my freedom of speech because mine was blocked from warning everyone of my experience at fessler law. I went to fessler because there were missing bank accounts for my dad's estate. The greedy personal representative tried to keep everything she could from the estate. Fessler petitioned the bank and when the evidence came in, fessler changed his mind ABSOLUTELY DID NOT WANT THE jUDGE TO KNOW! He told me for 6 weeks that we would set a hearing after we receive the evidence then changed his mind. He is unprofessional, corrupt, unethical and was useless in my case.

If you need a divorce lawyer look elsewhere.
Paul C. Fessler is neglectful, unethical, and the only thing he’ll provide is a lack of representation. All the things I signed for in the retainer with Paul C. Fessler of Fesser Law P.C. (aka Paul Fessler) were never honored. 1. Diligent representation by the firm. 2. Mediation and Discovery. 3. Bill rates.
4. Communications, and 5. Refundable retainer.
He performed no mediation or discovery in 9 months, he wouldn’t even have a conversation with me during this time, never spoke other than to hire him. He took advantage of me by draining my retainer. I was charged the higher! of the 2 rates the lawyer rate of $250/hr vs, the paralegal rate of $100/hr. She was doing the work, yet not a single $100/hr. paralegal charge, even the frivolous charges were billed high. Second, in over 9 months I only received 3 invoices which should have been coming monthly, this way I wouldn’t see he was draining my account. I had no communications, no emails regarding correspondence from opposing counsel or the court system. Emails I sent were never followed up, phone calls very slow or not returned at all. A refundable retainer? It’s just bait. Once you pay he just made $1500. He stole my money and won’t reply to my request for it back. Super Lawyer? Rising Star? they expect firms to pay for their press, so I was fooled.
I fired him and got another attorney who immediately performed discovery and set mediation. I began receiving communications from opposing counsel and the courts within days, what a difference! My new lawyer also witnessed firsthand how Paul C. Fessler lacks professionalism ethics when he didn’t respond for almost 2 weeks after being called and emailed several times, so it’s not just me.
I believe I would have lost everything staying Paul C. Fessler. Since mediation wasn’t performed, I was unknowingly being placed into a position where I was just one day away from heading to court to have the judge divide everything in half. The courts don’t have time to mediate cases, this is why mediation so important to work things out before that Settlement date or final judgement day, and discovery is part of that. So, looks like he took my money to let the judge do the work. Paul is the type that gives lawyers a bad name.
In hindsight, I should've found a lawyer with hundreds of reviews, not like Paul C. Fessler’s 5 or 6 reviews.

There should have been a conflict of interest stated right off the bat in my case. I used to work for him. Haslem is an attorney that will lie & create false narratives about the opposing party. 6 years post divorce, he still hasn’t figured out how to read the messy JOD that he created. I can show where he threatens me every single holiday especially Christmas, my birthday and Mother’s Day. It’s time the judge sees what he and my ex are continuing to do. Haslem refused to turn over properties due me in our JOD so I had to sue for it 4 years later and finally got it. His assistant is as dishonest as he is. I’m sure Haslem doesn’t know she helped me get away from him when I used to work for him. He will promise you the moon, charge you quadruple for it and deliver pizza. If you want a very dirty divorce with no peace until your kids graduate- hire him. You’ll keep paying him too. If you want peace and put your children first-do not hire him. The sad thing is, my eldest now sees how dirty Haslem plays and the lies he and my ex make up. He doesn’t create a healthy environment for kids in a divorce at all.

Mark Haslem came to my rescue after I exploited an arrogant and pretentious lawyer from a large firm. Haslem helped me resolve a very contentious divorce with my former spouse, who tried anything and everything to cheat the system. As opposed to the big firm, Haslem fought hard on my behalf to attain a fair settlement and to protect my financial interests, which was not easy when facing someone with a personality disorder. I have used this firm’s services for bankruptcy and also a divorce with custody being the main dispute. Unfortunately my ex was extreamly difficult and would not agree to anything therefor my case ended up in a trial. Both Lukas and his wife Katherine attended which was awesome having two attorney’s fighting for not only my but my children’s best interest. The way they worked together and their level of expertise was incredible. They are personable and professional, strategic and compassionate. After a few long trying days of trial the judge ruled in my favor. I will forever be grateful for them, it is because of them that I was able to begin again with my children in my care. I used Sitkorski law office for my divorce and was unhappy with my settlement from the divorce. I felt as if this office wasn't trying to fight for me at all and they tried to double bill me for services. Price was reasonable though and staff was nice but felt as if I was "just another $ sign. Only meet Lukas only once and that was at my initial meeting. Everything else was handle by the Legal Assistant. Definitely wouldn't recommend him.

Hired her for a child support issue.
We talked and she told me how she sees my situation (not an easy one), I shared with her my plan and what I want to accomplish, and she told me that she would try to accomplish most of it. She said that she has the experience and that it will not be easy but she can try to deliver (she also shared some of her plan to accomplish those things). Once hired her efforts were late and minimal, in the end, I had to settle because almost nothing of what she initially agreed on was done (but she did one decent discovery/motion). She helped me with the calculation but not to my benefit either and overall it is my opinion that she did not have my best interest in mind but she billed me excessively. The bills were not detailed and according to my calculations, she spent more time on the phone with the opposing counselor than with me....
Overall I do not recommend her at all!

Horrible very unprofessional, he didn’t do any ground work in my divorce if it wasn’t for my initiative on my own I would have loss everything including my family home. He didn’t even subpoena my witness. I felt interrogated threaten and I was unable to contact on the phone prior to the divorce was final. I didn’t even receive an itemize bill to this day.

If Alan Cooper said he'd do something, that meant he'd do it (maybe) 3 weeks later. Consistently dropping the ball, requiring us to call, text and email him constantly to figure out if he'd done what he'd said he would do. His responses were always vague. Often did something different than agreed upon with us and played stupid (he probably forgot what we agreed upon anyway). This resulted in thousands of dollars needlessly lost in our case and significant life holdups. Will not hire again for anything at all, whatsoever.

I was in a very tough spot with my son's mother. She was on a downward spiral that was clearly effecting my son and Alan didn't hesitate to reassure me that I would get my son away from that atmosphere. He came through with everything he said and I had gotten custody of my my son. He understands how stressful these situations can be, and is a straight up guy. Susan is the best and efficient lawyer I could have ever asked for. I live out of state but I am from Michigan, and it was so easy to communicate with her through phone, email and zoom. I hired Mrs. Richie as my attorney for a custody matter. (Parenting time) She promised me that she would try everything in her power to get my children back home. Unfortunately that didn’t happen and I only received phone time. She was very knowledgeable, but didn’t seem to use her knowledge as much as she should have during the time of her being my attorney. I was left to do all the foot work, and hardly any of my completed documentation was submitted to the courts that I worked so hard to get during this time. Lastly she withdrew from my case at the time I needed her most, and said the reasoning was because I wasn’t following her legal advice. When in all actuality, I went above and beyond on everything the judge ordered. She also was very soft spoken.

If one does not have the financial means to procure legal representation at significant cost, it is advisable to advocate for oneself. Regrettably, I expended $15,000 in engaging both legal practitioners, only to find that they generated unwarranted issues subsequent to my retention. To my dismay, one of the practitioners had the temerity to assert that I would forfeit custody of my children. Despite these challenges, I retained custody. If I had not transferred to Sharp Associates, I would not have been represented by this attorney.
