I had no idea what to expect during my Adoption process, yet Joan assured me that she would be there every step of the way; and she was!
The adoption of my little ones took longer than normal due to the COVID pandemic and court closures and postponements, yet Joan kept me abreast of any and all updates.

I should have believed the reviews prior to contacting Stange Law. I scheduled a virtual consultation with them on 10/17 for the consultation to be held 10/23, received email confirmation and the email confirmation stated I would be contacted to pay the $175 for consultation. There was no contact by 10/21, therefore I had to call and follow up. The intake person I spoke with stated that my consultation appointment was not in their systems.
Based on this error on their side I opted to schedule an in person consultation, and they advised there was availability on Saturday 10/26. I booked that and was emailed a link to pay the $175 consultation fee, which I paid. The appointment time came, and I was at the location 20 mins prior to appointment as directed. The parking lot was empty, and I made calls to them which an answering service answered. Finally, 10 mins after my appointment time was scheduled and still not signs of the attorney and business doors were locked I received a call back from an intake person with the firm, and they could not get a hold of the attorney or law firm partner. Therefore, the attorney no showed for the appointment.
This is terrible business practice, a waste of my time, and totally unprofessional. The intake person advised the same, and they never got an answer as to why the attorney no showed for the appointment. If the attorney cannot show up for a scheduled appointment there is no way this firm would be trusted to handle my case or show up for court dates on time. I highly recommend people do not waste their time with this firm.

If you need a glorified legal secretary who can find the courthouse and file paperwork, Bob is your guy. If you need a competent, hard-nosed family attorney to fight for you and what you hold dearest, stay a hundred miles away and pray he’s the opposing counsel. So ill-prepared for my support modification trial. I was prepared. Opposing counsel was prepared. Judge was prepared. What about Bob? Constantly scrambling for notes and fumbling for words. Oddly timed and worded objections. Horrible report with the judge. Outcome was shockingly one-sided and one of the worst judgements in the history of the St. Louis family court system. Use anyone else to fight and protect your rights. You can only do better.

This “attorney” is a joke. More like lazy jerk who just does gimme landlord tenant actions. He doesn’t practice law. He collects bad debt for apartment complexes-and he’s lazy and inept. Glad he found a cash flow. Hope the laws don’t update and ruin his game. Would put no stars, but that isn’t an option. Not as if this matters-his clientele are all word of mouth apartment complexes-he doesn’t work for actual people or on their behalf.

Working with this attorney has been the worst decision made in recent years. The quality of service is abysmal and she has no business operating in the family law arena. Mayra has issues with taking accountability and is incredibly untrustworthy. She and her partner have scammed me out of almost $10,000. They present themselves as competent attorneys but they have done nothing but cause issues in the case they were hired for, resulting in an incredible amount of unnecessary stress and anxiety.

Erika and Mayra have been helping with my custody case. My ex repeatedly violates the custody order, but the folks at Flesner Wentzel are quick to answer emails and offer solutions. My previous attorney was great in the courtroom, but he often took weeks to respond to calls and messages. I was looking for an attorney who responds faster than that, and I found that in this firm. My messages are often answered the same day, and I don't think I've ever waited more than a few days for an answer, even when it was a non-urgent question.
I completely botched my financial forms when we got started, but Mayra called and patiently helped fix my paperwork. I am under a lot of stress from this high-conflict custody battle, so it's nice to deal with kind people who understand how the legal system works.
I also love that they have an online case management system where you can send emails, upload documents, etc. It's nice to be able to access my pleadings whenever I want, and it helps me feel like I'm in the loop. I have worked with other attorneys who would just file things on my behalf and not even tell me, but that doesn't happen here.

We were over billed by $15000 and have asked multiple times for items billed which we haven't every received and where told that the biggest part was do to interoffice meetings. And we were charged for paper work, report and other items that we went and got and paid for and took to their office. And they ended up working for the ex instead of us. Run quickly before hiring them. They had other professional write good reviews to keep a high rating. But past client who do write reviews have been scammed by them.

If I could give Mr. Wes Hilton 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️'s, I would! From the beginning, he has always been knowledgeable, kind, professional, trustworthy and up-front. I trusted him with a big case and he did NOT disappoint, he got it dismissed!! He told me what I should expect both pros and cons and in the end he over delivered on all of it. We retained Henry for a child custody and parenting plan revision. He came to court unprepared, didn't advise us of certain forms that had to be completed, failed to represent the key areas of the case, and failed through appeals. Nice person, but not a good lawyer.

I contacted this firm months and had an appointment immediately, but it was basically for nothing. He was rude, dismissive, and not helpful at all. Unprofessional at its finest. It was almost like he was the prosecutor in my trial before my trial!!! Poor customer service from his staff too. If you have a strong case I would recommend you go to someone else.

I contacted Mr. Service in response to a letter I received from his office offering services when my Ex husband filed a modification. When I called, I was immediately offered a consultation appointment despite his full schedule, they made time to see me. Mr Service took the time to get details about my case specifics and explain the process, and what is important to legally focus on in family/civil cases. He was also upfront about possible issues but took time to listen and explain so it pertained to my circumstances; not a general speech I got when trying to make appointments/consult with other lawyers.
Mr. Service is very knowledgeable in these areas and I believe he will be good representation for what is important to me and my family in court.

Lynne was so empathic when I had my initial consultation but as soon as I sent her my deposit, I felt very low on her client priority list. She and her team would frequently not respond to questions that I had, either missing questions in emails or not responding to my emails at all. When I expressed my frustration after a member of her staff submitted the wrong document to the court on my behalf, she questioned my emotional stability and defended her staff as the best staff member she has ever had. Documents she sent for my review were filled with errors, disorganized, and in some instances, were harmful to me, according to another lawyer I consulted. I even had to rewrite the settlement agreement (with no legal training) because the document she sent was unusable.
Be aware that she charges the same rate for work that her legal assistants complete on the case as she does when she works on the case herself. While I’m not sure how efforts are allocated in the office, I spent much more time corresponding with legal assistants and her secretary, but I paid the same price as if I was working directly with Lynne. Even worse, for 10 months, she had me unknowingly working with her secretary--not a legal assistant—yet charged me at the same rate of $200. This person was responding to my legal questions while my lawyer repeatedly did not answer my emails.
Use Lynne if you want an office to submit your paperwork but don’t expect any legal or strategic advice or input. I’m not sure if I was a particularly low priority client or if she treats all her clients this way. If I had known half then what I know now, I would have hired a different lawyer.

Lynne Brand and all of her assistants did an amazing job helping me with my case that involved modifying child support and the parenting plan. Her knowledge and expertise was great, but even more impressive was how she and everyone on her team made me feel like I was the most important client they had. They have the connections and relationships in the Lebanon area to get things taken care of in as stress-free manner as possible - and this was very important since I don't live in Missouri and we had to do the majority of our communications via phone and email. I highly recommend the Brand Law Firm!!

Hired Dean for a divorce in April. Ive had nothing but problems getting them to contact me or provide requested documents to protect me in my medical care. Im disabled and was abandon by my wife who took everything including my bed and couch. For over a month Ive called and left voicemails, sent emails that all go unanswered. After researching laws and ethics for attorneys Ive found him guilty of several violations. Even after informing his office in a voicemail I would file complaints with the state Ive still not recieved a call. So Im not very impressed with this man and his staff. I only pray the complaints will get him to represent me PROPERLY and his record reflect the complaints.

Dana is part of the systemic problem with the court systems. They are all money hungry but don’t actually do their job. She got $7,000 out of us in 6 months and we never even met her!!!! Sided with the mother constantly regardless of very alarming issues we brought to her attention. Would rarely reply to our emails or do anything/follow up with anything. We have debated reporting her to the bar because our experience was that bad. The amount of money these guardians take versus the work they do should be illegal. We had to sell almost everything we owned and ended up just settling because we couldn’t afford her, and the suggestions she was making the court to order us to do… coparenting, counseling, mediation…. It’s all a money scheme and no one listens or helps. It’s extremely sad and a corrupt system. We loved our last guardian, we were extremely dissapointed when we had our experience with Dana. The mother initially lost full custody because of actions I won’t put on the internet. She even had supervised visitations. Now she has almost full custody because of people like Dana who refuse to look at evidence, do their research or actually do home visits and meet the parents. Total waste of time and money. I am so sorry for those of you that have to experience guardians like Dana. We deserve better!

I hired Ken to help with my divorce and child custody. His fees were very reasonable, he worked with me on payments, and did a great job. Not sure about others who say he took their money, but that's not what my experience was. Also, Ken would return calls in the evenings and on weekends, something you usually don't expect from an attorney. Great job, great lawyer!

Lynn Johnson is an awful lawyer and very unprofessional. She consulted with my lawyer and put in an email that she was offering a resolution so we couldn't use it as evidence then continued to verbally assault myself and my wife by calling us names. She was reported to the Missouri Bar for unprofessional misconduct and an investigation was opened on her by the Missouri Supreme court. My lawyer said she was the most unprofessional lawyer he ever encountered in his 30 year professional career. She also put lies and perjury in legal documents knowing their false lies. Read her other reviews, she has displayed disgusting behavior. Stay away, I wouldn't recommend at all.

I would not hire this lawyer again in any kind of matter. I hired Ms Wilde for a civil matter and she provided hardly any guidance, refused to return calls and communications, didnt file any motions to protect me, allowed the opposing party to trample all over me because she didnt send over pertinant information to me about my case..etc. Ultimately she just took my money. This is not how you build a law firm.

Seriously. I hired Scott for a custody case, and now I realize why people (and other lawyers in Ozark) questioned why I went with him without even considering a sit down with them. If you hire Scott, be prepared to never hear out of him. If you do, it will only be email. He never returns phone calls and you'll only see him in person when he wants money. He never reviewed my case before we went to trial, and I wound up losing custody to a registered sex offender (mind you I have zero felonies and I'm a woman). As if that wasn't enough, he asked for $3,000 from me...never saw him again. He then tells me that I need to hire an appellant attorney. Funny how when I emailed him asking about a refund, he can't respond to that. He royally screwed me and my kids over. I have already made back the money I lost, but I will never have anything to do with him ever again. DO NOT HIRE HIM!!

I paid scott upfront $3,200 cash for a custody case of mine. He told me it could take awhile with most custody cases and to be patient and let him do his job. When he finally did send me the paperwork to sign it had the wrong kids name on it. I left several messages on his voicemail because he never answered any of my calls. I was finally able to reach him through email but by then he told me he was no longer my lawyer and my case was thrown out. Now im raising my son alone with no help from him. I've had to go through the state because after he took my money i couldn't afford to hire another lawyer and to be honest after him I'll never in my life trust another lawyer. He has now suggested that I contact another lawyer hes friends with because he no longer handles family cases... Which is odd.. Thats explains why mine never got handled. And there is no refund either because hes a lawyer and he'll just drag this out in court until im out more money. I pray that nobody ever has the same experience i had with this lawyer. I was told he was the best so I was so excited when I hired him. It was the most costly and upsetting mistake of my life. I wish I never trusted Scott Hinote with my money or my case. I paid him in full after our first visit i never did him wrong. I have no idea how this guy sleeps at night knowing hes robbed hard working single fathers just trying to finalize my custody. I'm sure their are good lawyers out there that care about their clients but this isn't one of them.

I have heard good things, particularly with litigation cases, but this is not the right attorney if you are going to have an uncontested divorce or if you have any sort of budget. I did not contest anything, I agreed to everything my ex presented and I spent twice what I was told it would cost in attorney's fees. They even charged my credit card without sending an invoice (almost $4K) and when I called upset (because I found out from my credit card company why my outstanding balance was so high), was just told "Jack told me to charge your card for that amount". I would never recommend Jack Cochran to anyone. I hired him to represent me in a very simple divorce. (No custody or property division) He proved to be extremely dishonest, unreliable and completely inadequate. He refused to provide me with an itemized statement, yet blasted through my retainer before our first meeting. He did not take the necessary action in a timely manor to access my marital assets, resulting in the loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars that I was legally entitled to. He failed to return phone calls, emails that were time sensitive. Jack Cochran is incompetent as an attorney, is extremely arrogant and insensitive to his clients interests. He is however, very good at avoiding repeated requests for an itemized statements and padding his bill. What should have been a couple thousand dollar divorce, has cost me more than what a defense attorney would charge for representation in a murder trial.

With a wealth of experience in his field and locale, Jack is a good lawyer. He's not the most efficient, and we had many hours of personal conversation, with the net result of a Huge divorce bill, which did not go to trial. For deep pocketed individuals looking for a friend/lawyer - he's a decent choice. Otherwise, a short leash is required.

I had this attorney for two years and seriously, I honestly believe she spent that time working against me! She literally did nothing to help me, the only thing she ever did was stick her hand out for more money. Examples would include, when I asked if I did in fact have an active warrant my response was “I haven’t seen one” so I asked if she had looked into it and her response was “no”. Then she went ahead and looked it up while I was on the phone with her, in about 3 minuets said “oh, yes you do”. Attorney Davis was going to let me believe I didn’t have a warrant why? Because I didn’t ask the exact right question? Or how she failed in two years to ever give me or inform me of the existence of a income and expense statement to adjust my child support (which my new attorney gave me within 48 hours of being hired and took me 40 min to fill out). Attorney Davis kept informing me that nothing could be done about child support until we were in front of a Judge and that had to be one of the last issues addressed “because there’s an order in which these things have to happen”. Attorney Davis literally sat across a desk from me, looked me square in the eyes and on multiple occasions bold face lied to me. Best of all I have to say is when my ex wife filed a motion with her attorney and I had no idea about this motion until 5 weeks after it was filed and from a different attorneys office who I was getting a consultation from. That’s right an office I was consulting with is how I found out about this motion that was filed 5 weeks earlier, not from Attorney Davis! Thank god I had that consultation, otherwise I probably still wouldn’t know I missed a major court date. However Attorney Davis had no problem billing me $300 for reviewing and typing up a letter to me (that I never received) about this very important, case defining motion and court date. A simple phone call was too difficult? I highly doubt she ever wrote any letter but that’s just my opinion, the rest of this review are facts! If you want to be talked down to, belittled and not be able to get a word in edgewise please hire Attorney Davis. The last phone conference we had I hung p on her because she flat out was talking over me, interrupting me and would not let me get a sentence in and I just said, well I’m not paying $250 an hour to listen to her ignor and disrespect me. And the receptionist there, well that’s for another review! Incredibly rude people and a terrible office as a whole, they don’t even use email, only fax! So after I went and bought a fax machine and had a land line hooked up in my house guess how many faxes I received, one! They don’t have voice mails, all messages go through the receptionist and that’s pretty much where they stop. And I saved the best for last, when I asked for them to fax me all communications between Attorney Davis and my ex wife’s Attorney for my records I was told that all communications and agreements between them had been verbal and there were no records to send. Verbal! Do yourself a favor and save thousands of dollars by hiring someone who hates you to represent you at least by accident they’ll probably do a better job than Attorney Davis has done for me.

This lawyer has no detail, she doesn't fight for you. She doesn't make time for you, nor fill you in on what is going on. Had a hearing on my case on a Tuesday. I called on Wednesday to find out what happened she wont return my calls. I have provided everything she has asked for promptly, yet she never seems to be able to get back with me. I call to set up a meeting to talk out the "game plan." She doesn't have a 15min opening for 3 weeks? I am sure if I was a new client needing to get her services and provide her with a retainer she would find the time to meet with me.
