John has been my lawyer for at least a year now assisting with my stressful divorce. He is an honest lawyer who won't act on a request simply because you ask; if he believes it’s not the right or fair course of action, he will not proceed. He fights for what’s best and just for his clients, especially when children are involved. Although I wasn't 100% satisfied with the outcome of my divorce and custody battle. As he mentioned in every litigation, you can’t get everything you want. I trust that John’s expertise and understanding of the judge led to a fair result. Garima Jain (Varshney) and her partner Radford Smith are wonderful, genuinely caring people, and they provided unmatched legal counsel on my behalf as the plaintiff in my divorce. I had the additional complication and distraction of a life-threatening illness which requires a significant amount of daily care. Garima and Radford were extremely accommodating and made sure that opposing counsel was respectful of my medical challenges. Garima and Radford were deliberate in dealing with opposing counsel, without being provocative, and used their well tuned legal expertise to bring about a settlement, avoiding the expense of trial preparation and a trial. I can think of many opportunities where Garima and Radford could have taken a path that would have increased their billable hours, but instead, the path they chose prioritized what was best for me to achieve a swift and fair outcome. I estimate my costs would have been double what they were if we would have had to go to trial instead of a pre-trial settlement. My dad passed away and my brother, two sisters and I had no idea where to start as my father left no directions. We consulted with several firms before coming to Anderson, Dorn and Rader on a recommendation. Mr. Rader had a remote conference with all of us (we're spread all over the country), listened to us, addressed our concerns in words we could understand and agreed to work with us. Rather than telling us to surrender our father's estate to someone we'd never met (as several other firms had) he encouraged us and agreed we should be involved. Throughout the process, Monica (Senior Paralegal) was phenomenal - always answering our questions promptly and accurately, even making suggestions on how to pursue items I wasn't aware we should be looking for. My siblings and I always felt we had an advocate throughout the process and that we'd been lucky to find the firm. In less than 5 months after my divorce was completed, I had to hire another attorney to iron the kinks that should have been settled initially with my first attorney. I believe Mr. Acherman could have been more aggressive & not given up so quickly to the demands of the opposition to simply finish my case. Towards the end, it was clear & this is why I'm here filing motions today. If your case does not involve lots of money, & it's somewhat simple, he is the one to use to settle it perhaps. I would not hire him a second time after seeing the holes that were left after my divorce!

I came to Radford’s office after a very unfortunate experience with another attorney. Divorce is never an easy process but thankfully I was connected to Kimberly. My divorce was very long and uncomfortable. Kim guided me through the entire ordeal. She is fair, informative, honest, thorough and the list goes on. She/the office tried to keep my fees at a minimum, even though my ex tried to cause constant need for excessive fees. We ended up in mediation and Kimberly “held my hand” through that arduous situation as well. Luckily, I will never need her services again. I highly recommend Kimberly to anyone who, unfortunately, goes through divorce. The whole office staff is great too.

I hired Kim through Radford Smith's office to clear up custody violations and help through a domestic violence case. Due to being an emergency circumstance, I was told upfront that my case would be handled quickly (within 1-2 weeks) but ultimately took nearly 2 months before Kim had the documents together and presented my case. If you hire her, be prepared for a lot of apologies (sick, vacation, busy). She is young and will be a good attorney one day, but she needs to understand the emotional nature of family law, improve communication and meet stated deadlines.

Not only did this firm provide advice to opposing counsel while intoxicated at at event in Reno - they regularly made me feel 100% accountable for my actions while simply protecting my young children from the Covid vaccine. My attorney and her boss, Brian, are through and through entitled liberals with no motives other than to destroy their clients that see things differently than they do. Brian hates this country, our morals, as well as those of his conservative clients. I have never felt more degraded, mortified, and slandered than I did working with him through the beginning of my divorce. If you have any scruples - stay away from this monster and the firm they have created.

From deposing my ex to see how he would answer in court to not being afraid to ask the tough questions whether of me or my ex in court. I received a cease and desist letter from Jesse Sbaih and Associates claiming I defamed his client. I concluded from the letter that either Sbaih has no idea what defamation is, or he hoped I would fold my constitutional right to free speech to legal bullying. I found the letter to be legally insufficient and this law firm to be an amateur operation.
The ridiculous letter saying I would be sued for over $500,000 if I did not remove an online statement misquoted me, making it nonsensical. I cannot fathom how my comment would rise to defamation had Sbaih bothered to copy and paste it accurately.
The scheme backfired spectacularly for Sbaih and his client. After receiving the threatening letter, I immediately published it on social media, where it gained over 20,000 views and was widely mocked. Several observers noted that Sbaih failed so badly here that he did not even appear to know the difference between libel and slander. It started an educational online free speech discussion.
A few minutes of research would have revealed that I am a free speech advocate and defamation law expert. I testified to the Nevada Assembly Judiciary Committee on the topic. I participated in the 2015 anti-SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) law amendment discussion when Nevada needed to change clear and convincing to the prima facie evidentiary standard due to a ruling by the Washington Supreme Court on a similar law in that state.
Speaking of anti-SLAPP laws, this case would be disastrous for Sbaih and his client if it moved forward. I feel it would be one of the most frivolous defamation lawsuits in Nevada history and would be punished accordingly under the state's anti-SLAPP law.
All Nevadans are immune from frivolous speech-related lawsuits under NRS 41.650. When a court finds a speech-related lawsuit meritless, it is immediately struck. Under this ruling, the plaintiff must pay all the defendant’s legal fees. A judge may impose additional damages of up to $10,000 under NRS 41.670. A separate action may be brought by the defendant of the SLAPP suit for compensatory damages, punitive damages, attorney’s fees, and the costs of bringing the separate action.
I feel an ethical lawyer would have refused to sign their name to a letter like this and instead would have encouraged the client to have a civil discussion with the other side to resolve it. I think unethical lawyers see this type of frivolous letter writing as an opportunity for a billable hour at the expense of the First Amendment.
Keep all this in mind if you are thinking about retaining Sbaih. If he blew this situation so badly, what will he do with yours?

I went to Stovall & Assoc, since I needed an attorney out in Pahrump for a child custody case. Upon our first meeting I was very impressed with Lisa. She took a long time to understand everything and explain all my questions. While waiting for my case to be heard in court, I emailed her updates and she responded to every email within a day. She was excellent about this. The paperwork she drafted up was well written and concise. Sadly she went on maternity leave and had to hand off the case to another lawyer who did not have much experience. The guy was very nice, and I know will be outstanding one day, but the only complaint I had was lack in keeping in touch for the case when it was handed off.
