They’ll give you a roundabout price, expect to pay about 5 times that amount. They’ll charge you $56 to read a 6 word email. Apparently it takes them 12 minutes to read it. Charged me about $4300 for one court appearance that took about an hour when that was supposed to be for my entire divorce proceedings. Use someone else is my advice.

Justin is an amazing person and lawyer. He really cares about his clients and went out of his way to make sure that I was taken care of. He even answered emails on his days off and in the middle of the night. I don't know many people who would do that for their clients. Elizabeth Molnar advised me to address my criminal case by initiating a PFA case. I spent $$$ for a paragraph and sat an entire day in court to submit it. They appeared with me on the scheduled hearing date, knowing it would be postponed, and charged me another $$$.
She told me I needed to hire a criminal lawyer 2 days before my case because they didn’t have one to send, that was another $$$$. But that firm showed up, exceeded the desired expectations THIS firm requested to win the PFA, and did it with one court visit that lasted 30 minutes.
The PFA hearing was postponed again, another full day in court, then wasn’t given clear billing expectations moving forward. She handed off the case to Meghan Zupanic. An emergency arises, there’s a PFA violation, Elizabeth was on vacation, Meghan took 2 days to respond, the lack of action resulted in a PFA being filed against me.
Told them I planned to change firms, Elizabeth offered me a lower flat fee, promised to address my concerns about lack of urgency or communication, I paid them another $$$$. They made no effort to communicate or keep me informed, likely because they weren’t doing anything to prepare or ensure the desired outcome for the cases.
I did the investigative research that Elizabeth suggested, said she would do, and then didn’t. I researched claims and accusations, pointed out lyes, and provided evidential proofs that could be used in my case. Meghan was so ill prepared for the case that the judge was genuinely frustrated. While my character was being ripped to shreds, the JUDGE asked why she wasn’t objecting. She had dates wrong, hadn’t reviewed crucial parts of the case. The conclusion? Another full day in court. My case for the PFA violation was dismissed and a Temp PFA was granted against me.
They have negated any validation I had of being a victim from the criminal trial. I relived all my trauma to provide them the resources to protect me from being fearful of them ever happening again. He got to walk away smiling, calling himself the victim, while I have to live with the perpetual fear of being arrested if he sees me somewhere.
While I hate to leave such a terrible review, its impact will pale in comparison to how their terrible service has impacted me. They refused to provide me any billing details. They couldn’t speak to a single reason or cause for their negligence other than blaming the JUDGE. They dwindled the possibility of a partial refund so I could seek new counsel, they suggested they would take action to try and remedy part of the outcome, but what they really did was just exhaust any legal window I had for recourse.
The negligence, the lack of professionalism, lack of accountability, blame shifting, failure to honor the terms of the retention contract that was signed, is all just absolutely appalling. As they’ve made zero effort to remedy any of this, and have in fact made it worse, I will be filing complaints with all the necessary legal entities. I implore anyone seeking genuine help to look elsewhere.

Ana Lisa Petrella is an extremely efficient, compassionate, and knowledgeable attorney. She got me through the very important process of dealing with child support successfully. Will you be charged for phone calls and emails? Of course. But her rates are reasonable and her experience is extensive, so she will not waste your time, or hers for that matter. When you reach out, she responds within the day, sometimes the hour if you catch her between hearings. She is a warm soul that clearly wants to help her clients get what they deserve. I was using Jim for years now. He is worthless as a lawyer. He took my $750 3 years ago and never had a court hearing. I called multiple times, he blamed his secretary, he blamed emails, he blamed everyone but himself.
It didn't matter how many times I called, how many emails I sent he doesn't getback to you once you pay him. He does not fight for kids or even get it right on what you can write down on a piece of paper for him. Check out his Google reviews they are all exactly the same as mine. As long as he has his money he doesn't care how he gets it.
Don't waste your time with this guy. You might as well say good bye to what your children need, and light your money on fire.

While I'd much rather be leaving a positive review, this experience does not warrant as much. In the spirit of preventing others from receiving the poor service I received, I submit the following:
I came to Julie with a very simple, uncontested divorce matter in which I had done the majority of the preliminary work on. She wrapped up a few necessary, remaining documents, submitted them to the court, and informed me that I should have a final decree within a couple weeks. A couple weeks passed, and then a month, with no correspondence from her or her staff. At that point, I felt a follow-up inquiry was necessary. Her email response told me only what I already knew: that we were waiting for the Judge to sign, and that I would receive a digital and mailed decree once that transpired. She felt compelled to charge me extra for that. At that point, I just continued to wait. I understand that dealing with a bureaucracy can be unpredictable, however, as my attorney, and with the timeline of "a couple weeks", I would expect some follow-up on her part to occur. After a total of 3 1/2 months elapsed, and I was left completely in the dark, I felt certain my case had slipped through the cracks. After a reluctant inquiry to her, since I didn't really have any more funds to casually donate to uninformative communication, she subsequently followed up with her contact at the courthouse, and miraculously my decree was signed that very day. So, clearly my case did fall through the cracks. It wasn't delayed due to insufficient documentation, child custody issues, alimony, or any of the reasons a divorce matter could be complicated. She simply failed to follow through. It was an unnecessarily long and stressful process. I hope my review will serve to prevent an unsavory experience for others. Sidenote: she did credit my account for the uninformative email, but only after I complained and she defended herself by telling me that 'my frustrations were misdirected'. A reply you might expect to receive from a therapist, not the attorney you hired to handle your divorce, and only contact person you have for updates. I exercised a great deal of patience throughout this process, while simultaneously not being kept abreast. I believe my frustrations were directed quite appropriately.

Caron should not be in this profession. Her legacy is that of basically stealing from clients who come to her in desperate situations: a divorce & determining child custody. Don’t fall for her fake empathy to get you to pay her retainer.
She’s a primo example of why people don’t like lawyers. If you need a a decent person to help you with a legal issue, look elsewhere.

What a terrible, terrible, experience with this firm after being fooled into an illusion that I was in good hands. Over $7,000.00 spent with absolutely no result and then they have the nerve to continually call me to put money in an account. Very quick to contact you for payment and not any real legal help. Please steer clear from this law firm at all costs unless you plan on spending tens of thousands of dollars. I finally got wise and called for few other opinions after basically being robbed and found out that a motion to change venue hearing could not be defended and could (should) be worked out of court. Completely mislead, this was the final straw for me. They were ready to rob me again of thousands of dollars and waste time and resources instead of actually working for the money and settle this out of court. So either there is little to no experience or they were just trying to take all my money, I think that latter. Which, by the way, is extremely disheartening as I am a single Father desperately seeking more time with my daughter and having to scrap money as I can. Additionally, they assigned a lawyer to me that was fresh out of college or something and way too timid, not aggressive at all. I think she is in the wrong profession and should be serving ice cream or cotton candy. Just all around horrible experience that I wish I could take back. Over a year later and I could have possibly had this settled with a more affordable competent GREEDY a la cart bill you for sneezing law firm. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please do not hire this law firm. Run and look elsewhere. P.S. wish I could chose no stars.

Amazing attention to detail and clear communication! I was represented by Sadie Marak in the case of my divorce which took over two years to process. This lawyer did win me my case, but it cost me my relationship with my children. When you wife and I divorced I wanted to win at all costs. She advised me that I needed to increase my ‘overnights’ to make my wife pay more alimony and child support. My wife was stupid enough to give it to me so to not put kids in the middle as they were both under 10. But in the long run it has cost me my relationship with them. I didn’t know how to parent and was never home. They asked for more time with their mom and I wouldn’t let it happen. Yes, I have a lot to thank Theresa for. We did win financially in a big way. But if I could have seen ahead in the future what it was going to do to my long term relationship with my kids, I wouldn’t have stretched the truth the way I was nudged to, in order to win materially.

2.5yrs of complicated custody drama from my soon to be ex-husband, whose also a police officer. Always the portrait of professionalism, knowledge, and skill- Theresa's best attribute is her no nonsense, yet profoundly compassionate demeanor. Her excellence is far above any other attorney's Ive met inside and outside of my present matter. When I searched in beaver county for the best custody attorney-within 1 hour I had 68 hits... and every single one was her name. Some of the comments were "shes DEFINATELY a pitbull to have in your corner"... I can now personally elaborate on that- I have personally watched her stand up for me and protect me and my little boys, and never once was intimidated, bullied, or over-spoken by my ex. Not many other attorney's call on off time, yet Friday eve, Saturday and Sunday morning calls that she didn't want to make me wait until Monday for- became common. Her staff mirror her compassion, dedication, and skill. She doesn't work only for you... She works WITH YOU.
