Pat is a lovely and caring woman. She was recommended by someone on the Nextdoor app, and after meeting with her, I chose to retain her. The price seemed good. My case was complicated, and after a ~2 years, it did not seem like the case was going anywhere. When some unforeseen circumstances happened, I realized that Pat was not able to bring the case to fruition, and I hired another attorney.
If the case is cut and dry and/or straightforward, I would recommend Pat. She is sincerely kind, caring and supportive. However, sometimes kind and caring doesn't bring the case to completion. Therefore, in complicated cases, my recommendation is to go with a large law firm, since their knowledge base required for complicated cases is vast.

She was good for a low price at first. She became slow and very hard to contact. I hired a new lawyer only to come to court to find her giving the defendant advice. I want my money back. She has a problem representing men in custody cases.

First and foremost if you are looking for an top grade Attorney who knows how to get the job done then look no further than Patricia Whitman. Patricia was the second Attorney that i appointed to represent me in my Divorce, as i was not happy with the service (or costs) of my first Attorney. Even though my first Attorney was very highly regarded within my county she did not represent me well. Patricia (although out of my county) came in and completely transformed my situation. She is extremely diligent and will work tirelessly to achieve the desired outcome. Patricia is extremely honest, Professional, hard working, loyal, excellent negotiator, fastidious, conscientious, cares about her clients and possesses an excellent Professional and Personal demeanor. Patricia will work with you to decide if she is the right person to represent you and if you are the right client for her to work with. She is honest and open and transparent about costs and also about likely outcomes. She will guide you through the good and the bad and be honest with you all of the way. My view and opinion of Attorneys was very tainted until i met Patricia, she has an amazing ability to negotiate and win cases but whilst doing so in the most calm and controlled manner possible. I do not write reviews very often but i felt that i needed to let people know about this true "Gem" that is Patricia, she will truly change your life and your perspective on life as you navigate through extremely difficult and traumatic personal times. Lawsuit. He was well prepared, and blew their case out the window on the first deposition. No court .. .case closed. I have attorneys in Columbia, and Montour counties ... none have performed as well as Maratech.

after telling me one thing, we went to court and he stuck up for the person who we went against, and he blew the whole hearing. the other person was speaking his mind and he kept shushing me and telling me to be quiet. I wasted $250.00 and my time with him, he did not have the best interest of my child in mind, and his response was "he is the dad", although his dad has supervised visitations, and now he just gets my kid on saturdays until we have another hearing, nice!

I use Tim Engler as our corporate attorney. I would recommend him for any business legal council including review of contracts and business guidance. I have also used him on a personal level for family law and he was terrific. He is very straight forward, honest and genuine towards his clients.

Denise was very unprofessional. As I was waiting for my consult she was very inappropriate with her previous client, hugging her and then blowing her a kiss. I believe that is out of line and she should be disbarred for having romantic relations with clients.

Maybe she use to be ok but not anymore. Messed everything up to not returning phone calls promptly and not ignoring emails. Always claiming to maybe have used the wrong email address. Kept referring to my ex as my husband when we were never even married. Ended up leaving me stranded in the middle of the court house after I lost money at work and for gas and parking. Claimed she was scared of the other lawyer she had to go up against. Walked out acting scared and quit my case and left my ex to laugh at me that I could not find a competent lawyer.

Worse lawyer I’ve ever delt with. Told me to record every interaction with my child’s father. I did. Then she told me she couldnt use it because of PA wiretap laws. Terrible advice. Wouldnt return calls/emails for weeks. We were supposed to have a meeting a couple weeks before the trial. She postponed it 3 times and then removed herself from my case 2 days before the trial. Do not waste your money.

He barely fought for a custody battle between my girlfriend and her abusive, mentally sick, and drug addicted ex. He refused to look at any pictures of my girlfriend when she was beat up by him, allowed the other lawyers to take over the conversations in court proceedings, and didn’t make any changes fo the court agreement when her ex missed TWO drug tests and failed ONE. He passed one drug test after three failed attempts and now, with ZERO concern about his mental health and well-being, he is allowed to have her unsupervised. Katz is allowing a four year older girl to spend time with a mentally unstable, manipulative man who has been in and out of prison and rehab multiple times, with little care or concern. He was hired to make sure her ex stays clean and gets the help he needs. He didn’t do anything on the three failed attempts at a drug test. He’s spineless, careless, and overall, useless.

Negative reviews aren’t my thing. However this is just ridiculous. I hired Katz 3 years ago, for a custody case that I already filed for. As time went on he insisted I forfeit some of my time in favor of the mother; who was agreeing to just end the whole thing and continue what we did for 11 years without the courts. Katz reasoning was I might possibly have to forfeit time in the remaining years of our sons childhood (which was 5 years). Needless to say I dropped the case anyway, retained my 50/50 and everything’s been golden.
What receives this negative review is him avoiding my calls over the past 3 years to finish an overdue divorce which she filed during the custody battle. He advised I not sign a paper and if need be sign it a month later. 3 years pass and every few months I call to see if we can do anything. Talked to him once and I offered to pay double. He said money wasn’t an issue and would call me back. Never did. I call back, no answer, no reply. I wait it out try again in a few months and no answer, no replies, nothing. I left another voicemail saying I’d pay whatever he needs. Same old, same old.
So I’m stuck in limbo until this divorce case expires. Waiting to adopt another son from a guy that’s practically begging me to. And this review is literally my only option left. Do not hire Katz!

A friend referred me to this office and I'm glad I was set up with Catherine, she was very professional and understanding about my situation. This was a custody dispute in with a 3 party was involved who was a very negative influence on my child. I used a different lawyer for 8 months which was a waste of my time and money. In the matter of a month Catherine was able to help me get a court order in place keeping this person away from my child. If you're looking for a great family lawyer, you just found her.

this man was my bf lawyer, and he did not even look at the evidence he believed the cops over the truth and had the truth. he had him take a deal and if he only looks up the truth could have gotten it dismissed but refused to do so told him that the other factor was going to give him more time. but the original reason for it all was a lie and he would not and did not even look at it. he requested the video (he said) but never received it then never ask again. he poorly represented him, and he paid plenty for this man .so this is just my finding of how i feel and i just wanted to voice my thoughts thank you

Dan Glasser isn't a good lawyer. I do NOT recommend him. He wasn't prepared for the trial. He yells at his own clients during the trial in front of everyone. He is very arrogant and thus isn't very effective lawyer. When you first talk to him, he presents himself as a very good lawyer but very soon you'll realize that it's just a show and in reality he isn't good.

My wife went through a very trying divorce from a divorce attorney. Her ex used the legal system to make her life miserable for years in child custody matters as she went through one ineffectual lawyer after another. After we got married, her ex went after her again. This time, I told her that I wanted the best attorney we could get regardless of the cost. I found Mr. Glasser on the 'Super-Lawyers' website. You get what you pay for relative to cost, but Mr. Glasser ended up being a great value as one encounter with him ended the legal harassment from her ex until the point where all the kids turned 18 and her ex could no longer bother her. Mr. Glasser was attentive, detailed and knew family law as well as anyone in the state of Pennsylvania. We wanted someone tough who would be my wife's advocate against a bully, which is exactly what we got in Mr. Glasser. We both recommend him highly.

I have been using her for 3 years for a custody and divorce. She is point blank and does not sugar coat things for you. She will go out for blood and pull all the stops to get what she wants. After speaking to this attorney for approx. 15 mins, all the while thinking the conversation was going well enough to lead to representation, she quickly cut me off and became rude and confrontational. Her words moved me from wanting to hire her to being hung up on! Very confrontational under the guise of "telling it like it is" even when in agreement. Not recommended.

After I picked up my daughter who had multiple bruises, I called him, he filed an emergency PFA and I now have full custody. As a father. That is almost unheard of in Lancaster PA. I would recommend him to anyone with a legitimate case. Very knowledgeable and professional.

Maura was responsive and helpful to me every step of the way during my divorce and I can't say enough about her. She listened to me whenever I wanted to talk and I felt comfortable saying things to her that I haven't or wouldn't tell to anyone else. Divorce sucks but she made it manageable and kept me informed throughout the process. I would recommend her to ANYONE getting divorced

This lawyer did not show up in court, sent another attorney in her place who knew nothing about my case. Maura said this lawyer knew my entire case; he didn't know anything. At my initial consultation she told me we needed an expedited custody hearing and that would occur within 2 weeks. We got the court date within 2 weeks as she stated; but then informed me she was off that week for a wedding and she would have to ask for a continuance. The continuance was a week later and again she was unavailable so she sent an attorney who is headquartered in Missouri; I'm in Pennsylvania. The court documents said to bring witnesses, all relevant documents, and anything else that would be vital to my case. She said we wouldn't need any of that; we needed it all. After the hearing she stated, and put it in an email, that it was not the real custody hearing and all the information would be brought up at the next hearing, which was 5 months away. The lawyer who replaced her in court knew nothing about me or the case; and the judge knew it right away. After the hearing when I complained about the representation she stated she wasn't aware of some of the things that were brought up. I sent her the email copies where she was informed of everything. This firm billed me for every email, phone call, and even things pertaining to the continuance that was 100% their fault and was avoidable by simply disclosing her vacation schedule to me. I was billed $250 an hour by an attorney at another one of their offices for a strategy conference, while simultaneously paying Maura Cunningham $190 an hour for this call. This firm Maura Cunningham works for, Cordell & Cordell, does nothing more than bill you while trying to drag your case out for as long as possible. In the end you will lose everything including your case. Dozens of complaints on the internet about them; all telling the same story.

andrew gleason is a poor excuse for a lawyer. he repeatedly did not file proper paperwork or lost the paperwork in my case. he could not remember who i was unless he was collecting a balance or payment. over a year later from my case and im still finding that there is paperwork that he didnt file to the judge but i was still charged for the paperwork. he is a joke, save your money. any respectable human can represent theirself just as much as he represented me.

I went to Diane Baker custody case, she charged $3000 as retainer and exhausted all retainer within weeks not doing any benefit for me or the kids which was not what we agreed on from the beginning, and she asked for another $4000 retainer to continue my case without reaching any progress or doing what she promised from the beginning, I decided to fire her and complained to the bar and BBB as she has no work ethics and that can't happen in such a sensitive job that affects people life, please don't do the same mistake I did and find yourself another lawyer that actually cares and works for your benefit.

I have retained Barry for divorce, custody and everything else thrown at me. His office is professional, approachable and friendly, they are very consistent with returning calls/emails. Attorney Cohen will fight for you as well as give you reality and jumps head in first, which is exactly what I need. I am very happy with retaining him to represent me in all matters that I have and currently am facing.

What shouldve been a cut and dry case turned into my wife and I having to find out that Cassie Munsee, our lawyer at the time, was not trying to fight a custody battle for us but was trying to settle. When we found out, it was too late. Now it looks like we condoned it and we're stuck with shared custody because theres no judge that will believe us and no attorney that can fight what has been done. We've reported her to the bar association. Theres no point hiring an attorney like her when shes likely friends with the opposing attorney anyway.

She didn't know the situation before going in to represent, even though I emailed in advance to talk it through with her, I didn't get a response. Therefore when faced with opposition she folded and ended with not favorable results.

I really liked Leslie on a personal level. We hiredanother lawyer for a criminal case and he brought her in to consult as he was not experienced enough to handle it. She really knew her stuff and showed much compassion. We were supposed to have another hearing within a month of going to court and it was never scheduled. I repeatedly asked her what the status was and if I got a response at all she would say "I'll see what I can do to speed up a date." and nearly a year later we finally got her to have the court schedule it after going back to our original lawyer who had to contact her twice. I would not have hired her again for custody due to this but she was very good. I also looked up the docket sheet myself and saw that the court had scheduled this hearing for 2015, 2 years after it was supposed to be scheduled. I assumed this is what took so long and that it was not her not doing the job. I figured she was having trouble with the courts bc the hearing was scheduled and no one could find it. So, my husband and I hired her agin to handle child custody. I asked her she would be able to file papers the first week in Dece,bet and she said yes. The case took an unsurprising turn and so we waited 3 weeks to make a decision on what to do. We needed to add a lot more detail to our filing and decide if we wanted to go that route. We did and she was to file the papers the week of Christmas. Never happened. I did not hear from her from the day we returned the papers to her that week u til January 23. The response Ito was that she had some health problems and was down for a little while and she would see what she could do about a date. I knew then and there that she never filed the papers because if she had we would have gotten a letter in the mail from the court with the date. I have contacted her weekly since that day in January and gotten no response. NONE. I finally asked for a refund for the deposit we gave her and haven't heard back on that either. Surprise, surprise. She really messed up this case for my husband bc we needed to act on something his daughter's mother was doing immediately. She totally dropped the ball. If you can get her to respond to you though, kudos bc she really does know her stuff. What good is that though if she doesn't do the work you hire her to do?

Leslie was great. I had a DUI case and she was really able to help me out. She kept me very informed on what was going to happen and kept my mind at ease during the stressful time. I couldn't ask for a better lawyer I would recommend her to everyone I know if they had legal issues.

Maryann acted like my daughter-in-law‘s divorce attorney not for the benefit of those children. Since then we had to go to family court multiple times because the mother and her boyfriend are unfit. The children was choked and my granddaughter who was 6 dragged across the floor by her boyfriend. Maryann even talked crap behind my son and my back and it got back to us. . How can this person be an advocate for minor children? There needs to be an investigation on this advocates motives. Since we wasted so much time with her incompetence ..the children were thrown out along with the mother without enough notice to get their belongings from the boyfriend due to the mother cheating among other things. This advocate sure did get this one wrong! Now the children are where they are protected with their father. This so called attorney should be investigated.

She was my granddaughters father's attorney. I thought we would work that to achieve a goal we would all appreciate. It wasn't a good situation.
I complimented her on her long healthy hair. She flipped her head as if I was a fly in her face.
We will work on how to deal with such evil.
The Lord will deal with her eventually. He knows my heart's in the right place.
As much as everyone says how lazy she is she was 'on' the boy.....!

This attorney was fired during my divorce. He was useless and pushed paperwork all the time and charged me for every phone call and email and nothing was accomplished. Nobody should use this attorney for family law purposes! Horrible service and non-dedicated. He would get irritated with me and get angry if I asked questions about things I did not understand. He may have graduated at the top of his class from law school but he gets an F in personality and ethics.

RJ came highly recommended to me. Little did I know when I first filed for divorce how emotionally immature my ex husband would become and how long he would purposefully drag out the divorce (2.5 years)! RJ's experience allowed him to advise me correctly from the very first day. While my ex was dragging his feet, RJ constantly went out of his way to help me by managing my ex so I could live my life! His expertise provided me with a settlement that I was EXTREMELY happy with. I recommend him to all of my friends who need legal help and am planning to use him to prepare my will and a pre numptual agreement. He is incredibly meticulous, observant, is extremely communicative, and quite pleasant to work with!
I was also extremely happy with the positive relationships RJ has with other attorneys and staff at the courthouse.

Vouga offered to take my case. I was then subjected to continued innapropriate advances by Vouga. He made legal decisions that were not in my best interest. Vouga violated my confidentiality, which resulted in me recieving hateful, abusive, and threatening messages. When I emailed Vouga regarding my concern, he threatened me.

Victor Vouga is a fantastic lawyer. He worked with us a few years ago on a custody case for my daughter. My sister passed away and we sought to keep her daughter. We were unfairly being persued by other family. We had no recourse...no idea how to fight. From the first time we met Attorney Vouga...we felt for the first time security.
Victor let my family and I know that the bullying we were experiencing would stop. He protected my very young family from years of abuse. We never had to linger and wonder what was going on. Victor kept us well informed of the process and guided us through it all. He was precise, deliberate, and decisive.

Let me begin by saying it took 8 months to get a proposed agreement for my divorce during this time there was no return of emails, text messages and phone calls. I then had an emergency custody petition at motions court which i found out the day of and had to go represent myself because he could not attend due to an appointment. He then tried to get me to agree to a nominal amount in settlement which i declined. Once my divorce was over there was an order for my QDRO draft to be completed within a couple of months and Attorney Vouga took 6-7 momths. If you looking for minimal to no communication, excuses, long delays and lots of attorney fees, Attorney Vouga is your man.

Craig said all the right things at our consultantation, we discussed what we wanted in our custody case, also discussed the amount of money we had available. After months of no returned phone calls, we get a call one morning from Craig asking where we are, we were in our kitchen. Apparently we had a court date that morning and we were never notified. After that our case quickly broke down, and all the reassurances and agreements we made during our consoltation were out th window. Very unprofessional

Peasley charged me over $30,000. Forced me to sign a divorce settlement agreement, behind closed doors. The agreement was dated incorrectly and notarized without the notary having witnessed my signature. The MSA was never filed. Peasley entered me into a child custody agreement (never filed) without my consent and charged me billable hours. Child support was based on joint custody, but my child resided only with me his entire life. Peasley did not specify any amount of my settlement which constituted child support. She told me she was retiring and may not be able to finish my case and then withdrew as my attorney immediately after settlement, leaving me and my minor son unrepresented, broke and disadvantaged. A very good lawyer and fair as well, I spent time with another lawyer who was not very productive and let my x walk all over me. When i hired paige she got things moving along. She was very fair to all parties and made sure that fair and eqaule treatment came from the other side as well because before paige that was not happening. Donna handled my divorce in the 1990's when she was with Goldman. She was fair, clear in explanations and brought the divorce to conclusion without a trial. My ex had 5 phony court orders for me to appear in court on false charges and I never had to go. Donna always did her homework and when my ex tried to get me to appear in court on the day of my father's funeral, Donna prevented it. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a fair divorce.

She literally stole $4,000 from my 20 year old son who helped me pay for divorce representation and she never filed even a motion to appear on my behalf or a counter response to my divorce complaint! She colluded with Attorney Roger Mattes from Dalton to pull one over me and I finally realized it after 60 days she was just dragging me a long. She even had me sign a blank form with no date in my meeting to discuss my counter response and I knew it a sneaky trick to drop my case whenever she decided and she then ghosted me for two weeks wasting my time and strung me along believing she was fighting for my rights and then I realized I stood to lose everything while she distracted me even sending me to her counselor across the street and Colluding with her to keep me busy for kickbacks. Nothing but a total fraud! She even rushed me to pay for an appraisal and conveniently the guy she recommended "who would appear in court" came to the exact dollar amount that she asked what I thought it was worth. I paid him $400 believing she was helping my children and I stay in our home and then I realized even he was a part of the collusion! They should all be in prison for theft by deception and civil conspiracy.

She has handled some other minor situations but she is a very well rounded and very knowledgable attorney. You could not go wrong when you ask her to represent you. I retained Attorney Garrigan mid-October 2023 and paid the full amount he requested a few days later. As of today, February 22, 2024 there has been zero movement on my case. On February 20, 2024, I called the office requesting a call back or a return of both my initial $1550 plus interest for the 4 months he has held on to my funds. I still have not heard back from them, even though their front office assured me that Sheila would call me back that same day. Every time I call I get excuses about how busy they are and they would get to me when they could. Their inability to get my case taken care of in a timely manner has added undue physical and mental stress and further financial hardship.
