I hired Ben for a very long child custody battle for my daughter after hearing great things about him from a close family friend attorney. Throughout the whole process from the paternity test to the parenting plan, Ben was always doing whatever he could to make sure my little girl would have her daddy in her life. He led and guided me through the toughest time of my life; a time where I wasn't sure if I would get to see my little girl. I had recently divorced and my daughter's custody arrangement was not going well. She was back and forth way too much and she wasn't happy. I wanted to go back to court for a better parenting plan but my original attorney was on a leave of absence. I spoke with several attorneys but each one of them told me "it was too soon" to go back to court. Emily took my case and in the mean time, my daughter was falling apart with the current plan. We went back to court and we are currently working on a new plan. Emily was a blessing to me and my daughter. I highly recommend her. She is a fighter and she has become a friend to us.

I worked with Charlie on two different matters, first a protective order and then later child custody. He was wonderful. Divorce was not something I wanted. Of course, nothing I ever hoped or planned for. I was hurt, sad and scared of what was to come. And now I had to take the huge task of finding the best divorce attorney in Williamson County. When it was time, I took the recommendation of meeting Will Holloway from one of my dearest friends. Thank goodness she was on point.
I was very direct and organized with Will and he never once let me down. His communication skills were impeccable and timely. His willingness to get what I wanted done in my time frame was met at every way. I never doubted any information or advice he gave me. I always felt he had my best interests at hand with the utmost sincerity and efficiency.
At our final meeting, after the divorce was finalized, Will gave me his final “talk” and it was what I describe as a “pep talk”. His words were kind and insightful. After 21 years of marriage, I found myself in an unwanted divorce. He will give you sound advice and offer a common-sense strategy to get you through the divorce while you’re in the maelstrom of emotions that can cloud your judgement. Will was fully engaged from the beginning to the end. In my particular case, there was an affair involved but instead of making that the central theme, Will directed my focus on the best outcome for my children and me. Stuart exhibited in-depth knowledge of family law and the local legal scene. He was thorough and thoughtful in his brainstorming and recommendations. It is so difficult to find a trustworthy attorney. After meeting with several different ones, we were blessed to find Stuart. We hired him for a case of termination of parental rights and adoption of minors. It is needless to say the case resulted in our favor. There are two important sides of Stuart professionalism, on one hand there is the preparation, since the first meeting we realize he had an ample knowledge of the law, however what was more astonishing and made the difference, is the exceptional preparation he makes at every step of the case. Vanessa Samano is simply the best there is for child custody cases, specifically high conflict. I would highly recommend Vanessa for any type of divorce or family law case, but specifically if you have a need for representation for Juvenile Court. Vanessa has the relationships with the courts, judges, and other attorneys across East Tennessee. She is highly respected and knows the law, but mostly she cares about the families she represents. I could not have asked for someone who believed in me and my case more. She will be honest, even when it's not what you want to hear. She will encourage you to always do the right thing and to not just check boxes but legitimately follow through.
Vanessa helped me navigate a complex divorce followed by a difficult custody case in which I obtained primary custody. As a single Dad, this was not easy even though the facts were in my favor. My advice, without reservation, is to not just hire Vanessa Samano, but to listen to her and do what she says. If you are not willing to be honest or take responsibility, Vanessa is not for you. While helping Ken with an insurance matter. I asked if I could pick his brain about a current custody case in which I was involved. He listened and gave me excellent advice. Although he could not represent me because I was in a different state, he took time to listen to my story and then go into detail about what I could expect and what to plan for, how the laws work, and how and what questions to ask when hiring an attorney, What impressed me more is when I would follow up with him about insurance he would also ask me how my case was going and again give me time and advice. I have dealt with attornies in the past, and I can tell you by how he treated me, someone who could not hire him. I know that he is willing to go the extra mile when hired. I had consolted with another attorney who seemed great during the initial consolt. However, when I was wanting to hire her she would not return my calls or emails for 3 months. This led me Google to search for another attorney. I found Sarah Reist and now I am glad that other attorney never replied to me because I found Sarah. When I met Sarah, she was with another firm. She was very kind, pleasant, informative and professional. She spent a good amount of time with me. She answered all of my questions. I immediately hired her to write a letter to my ex spouse which she did quickly and efficiently. She since then has opened her own law firm with a colleague but I was very happy because she took the time to write me and give me her new contact information. She also called me to check on me and make sure that I received her letter with new contact information. When my ex husband called her about the letter she wrote him, she called me right away the same day to inform me and thanks to her letter, my ex spouse finally reimbursed me for medical expenses after 11 years of not paying at all. Sarah always answers my emails and never forgets about me. I am now in the process of hiring Sarah Reist again to proceed in child support enforcement / filing a petition for contempt. I cannot recommend Sarah enough if you are a father wanting your legal rights protected and your children are in the Nashville area. I live in Michigan, my children were in Tennessee in the Nashville area, and I now have full, permanant custody of them in Michigan. It was a lot of work, and very stressful at times, however, if you are wanting an attorney who will work extremely hard for you, if you are wanting an attorney who is not only smart, but capable and devastatingly aggressive in the courtroom in pursuit of your rights and interests, you cannot do better then Sarah.
I am 100% convinced that having Sarah as my legal console made the differance in the outcome of my custody battle. Thanks to her efforts, her hours of hard work, and her zealous prosecution of my rights, I now have full custody of my children. I could not be more grateful for the services she's rendered, and could not recommend her any higher. If you are a father wanting to be able to play an active role in your children's lives, and you have to deal with the family court system, call her. You will be glad you did. Several years ago when Matthew was fresh out of law school, he worked on a very large case for me that was highly scrutinized in the public eye. Before you hire Jerrold L. Becker from this firm, you should understand what type of "attorney" he is.
In a recorded phone call conversation from our past "attorneys" Paul Wehmeier/Kim Burnette, Becker informed them his client was accusing my husband of answering our front door with gun raised at his clients acquaintance. If that was the case, husband would have been arrested as acquaintance was unarmed. As my husband told Paul/Kim the interaction was recorded as we RECORD everything (including 10 minutes before showing acquaintance on his clients property before coming to ours). Husband wasn't even home, my recording clearly shows acquaintance walking behind our house and me from our top deck asking them to leave-no weapon drawn thus this LIE could not be legally processed. This is just one of several questionable actions generated by Jerrold L. Becker intended to make us spend more on attorney fees.

Not only did Mr.Byars sound the most confident out of all the lawyers i spoke with, he in fact gave better projections for what he felt was possible and stuck to his word. Nice place, however would not recommend Kourtney Simmons as a point of contact for an attorney. I experienced her as very quick tempered. Talks more than she listens and gets flustered easily during problem- solving - resolution tasks. I also don’t appreciate her openly discussing the matter in the lobby area of the firm instead of in her office when she got frustrated . Her voice began to rise first , and her facial expressions were flustered . Meaning, everyone in the office heard her and heard us . Not client confidential at all .
I believe if she could be more empathic in nature , and patient she could assist clients better with the needs of all parties involved , which could strengthen her reputation for the brand of this office .
Maybe it was due to her busy schedule so she wanted quick - cut - paid - deal when I finally got to see her, bringing my dad .
There was a misunderstanding - and instead of using critical thinking skills , to identify the root , she immediately jumped into defense .
I have an elderly father with 2 strokes, I already communicated that to her , a little slow in understanding , and she tried to spin my questions of clarity into coercion .
Other than that, I believe the staff are quite friendly and are awesome at following up and scheduling .
I hope in the future Kourtney can treat all of her clients with disabilities and non disabilities , black or white , young or old the same care as it’s given in previous reviews .

My niece informed me of what happened in the office firm September 27,2024 and I was absolutely shocked and devastated that such behavior would come from a licensed attorney.
My niece is 27 years old, educated , articulate and understands ,comprehensively. She was trying to help on the behalf of my brother . Kortney Simmons did not lead by example per what was explained to me.
Definitely not a good representation of Casey & Simmons Law Firm . Threatening in tone , condescending to someone younger , cruel to someone with a disability and their ability to process information .
