Please take my advice and stay away! Yes emails are $58 a pop. Yes they charge you $290-$330 per hour. Yes you have to deposit at least $1250-$1800 in retainer fees. Yes you do have to put $5000 in your retainer at court. No I was not happy with the outcome for $20,450.... that's right $20,450! Not for men for them! I wish I could charge them $100 per letter in this review.

As in the last review I too hired Edward at the lowest point in my life. He was very good with me and let me know what my options were right away. She had a ruthless lawyer and he handled her very well. We all know the system isn’t set up to settle these issues easily and if your spouse is uncooperative it can be tough, but Edward calmed me and kept me going. He is a great guy and friend. I reached out to Mr. Rasberry for a consultation on divorce and he didn't listen to a word I said. He responded to my questions with unrelated information emphasizing just how little he listened to me. Even though he clearly didn't care about me or my case he made sure to talk down to me during the entire conversation. to boot he frequently interrupted me and spoke disparagingly about my situation. After seeing his history of reprimand and the annual disciplinary actions taken against him it is clear he should explore a new industry. Perhaps one where he doesn't have to interact with others as sympathy, empathy and sheer humanity are severely lacking in his skill set. There are many other lawyers in TN, keep searching.

Mr. Rasberry always represented me in a professional manner. Recently we had to file a order to protect my daughter while her father is dealing with mental health issues, Johnny worked nonstop for two days interviewing witnesses and drawing up papers in order to get this in front of a judge, where he worked with father's attorney to protect my daughter with her father's consent until a resolution can be reached. Mr. Rasberry is a magic worker and I am so thankful!

Attorney Psonya Hackett did not Offer to provide documentation or other proof upon my request. Attorney Psonya Hackett failing to file documentations within the statute of limitations. Attorney Psonya Hackett permitted unacceptable communications with me as a client, including not returning phone calls and keeping me as a client informed.
Attorney Psonya Hackett held my documents for one year and never viewed my documents nor filed anything pertaining to my case and caused me to pay the other side attorney fees. I advise do not hire Psonya Hackett poor service.

Attorney Psonya Hackett was hired to help with my case of my child in visitation/parenting rights. She did exactly what was needed to help protect my child in this manner. I am a single mother of 2 children, father showed very little interest in our children and had many addictions . After father tested positive for drugs and proof of how mentally unstable dad was she made an agreement to allow our children to be supervised by grandpa who left them alone with father while he was intoxicated. Ms. Bodie, gave me terrible advise and put my infant and toddler in harm's way. She did not show up for court and sent her paralegal who told the judge " I dont know the case well enough to answer that question" even the judge responded "then why are you here" I was also wondering the same thing. I was still charged for that day also. Many emails of not being responded to. Ms. Bodie has no idea what she is doing and charged me for a bunch of paperwork that she never showed or had signed by a judge so therefore, I could not use a single document in future court situations. She was not bold, she had very little knowledge of what my rights were, and did not fight for me or my children. Honestly,
this lady is heartless and money hungry. Shame on you for taking advantage of me and my children knowing our situation Meghan... After almost 4,000 dollars later, she did not help me further my case but actually set me back almost a year and a half and STILL have not established child support and father is still playing games and not responsible for following anything court or lawyers requested. It seemed like Meghan was not for me but for the father. I also know another family that she screwed over big time and put their foster child in harm's way when they wanted to adopt and give this child a better life. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER OR HER LAW FIRM. I'm surprised that she had positive reviews.

Out of the blue, he sent me a surprise bill that was more than double the agreed amount for a simple legal matter. When confronted, he admitted that he did not communicate this change, yet still tried to collect on the overcharge.
Poor communication and unapologetic. Felt like he was trying to take advantage of me.

Jim Widrig represented me during my divorce and what I most appreciated about him was guidance through a difficult time. Divorce can be very stressful and in my case, it was fast and hard. During some of the most challenging points of my litigation, Jim reminded me that this is a long game. When you are involved in a divorce with children it can be emotion-filled. His experience and understanding what was most important to me (children/custody) allowed him to provide the best advice. Unfortunately it seemed as though Robin just wanted rid of my case, and at times she sided with the other attorney and didn't fight for me. She also missed crucial items in my paperwork that resulted in my owing over $10,000 that I shouldn't have. Robin is a very nice person, but I would never recommend her as an attorney.

Can't get anyone to call or email me back while trying to set up a consult. I've talked to two people there and both times I was told I'd be contacted within two business days and neither time did anyone follow up. My first contact was 3+ weeks ago. The second lady I talked to didn't even try to get my contact info before trying to rush me off the phone. I had to stop her before she hung up to get her to take it, to which she sounded rather annoyed.

On 6.15.21 I hired Ashley to handle the adoption of my grandson that I already had legal guardianship of. I know she sent a processor in 11.21 to find the bio-father to sign over custody. From that point on she didn't do anything else on my case until I filed a complaint with the State board. Finally on 1.19.23 we went to court and she didn't have the proper paperwork. I didn't hear from her again until I hired another lawyer to finish what she started. On 3.8 she called said she was on her way to court to have the judge sign and pick up my certified copies to mail to me. I've reached out several times and as of today, 4.3.23 I still haven't gotten my copies of the adoption. Please...don't use this attorney!

Ashley was truly a god send to our family! When our private adoption got a little sticky and the hospital was doing/saying conflicting things to the birth mother, whom had made her choice of a private adoption and chose my husband and I, Ashley truly went to bat for us! In the most respectful, tactful, but productive way she contacted the appropriate hospital attorneys and authority's to make sure our sons custody arrangement and his safety, best interest, and well-being was the number one thing everyone focused on. When our son was three days old and in the NICU, Ashley was able to meet with a judge to get us emergency custody of our son, per the birth parents wishes, so we could make appropriate medical decisions for him, visit him, and begin to bond with him before bringing him home from the hospital. Throughout our entire adoption process, Ashley made sure we were informed, prepared, and also had everything done exactly as needed for the legal side of this adoption. Our case was very unusual and we always had a million questions, emailed her pretty much weekly, spoke on the phone often, and visited her in the office with our son and no matter how many times she had answered the question before, she always explained things to us again. Aside from being an amazing attorney, who communicated often with us and kept us in the loop of where we were at in the filing process, she always showed us that she truly cared. She took interest in our personal story, why we were adopted, and she truly loves our son and he loves her even more. Any time we saw her, he was reaching for her. I’m not sure that without Ashley’s tenacity, tact, strength, and persistence that we would have our son; seeing as the hospital had some conflicting thoughts when he was born and until he was three days old. My husband and I cannot speak more highly of Ashley (and everyone At the Barnett Firm) as they truly fought not only for us, but with us to become parents. There will never be enough thanks and praise to show and tell her!

During a phone consult with Helen Rogers, I was sincerely polite and explained my unlikely family law situation.
Ms. Rogers told me that I should have called her when I had major trouble with my previous lawyer in June 2019. I did not even even know Ms. Roger’s name in until August 2019.
After Ms. Rogers stated that she would not help me, and instead of answering my questions on a referral, she cut me off, she simply said, "I cannot help you." and then proceeded to hang up the phone on me for no good reason. I was in shock as I stared at my phone. I was not rude to Mr. Rogers at all. I just wanted to ask her for a recommendation on a referral. She never gave me that chance.
Before and after this call, I have spoken with over a dozen lawyers regarding my case. I was never treated even close to as badly a Ms. Helen Rogers treated me during my consult.
I have no interest in hiring an attorney that has zero sympathies for someone’s plight. She treated me badly without just cause. She does not know me, so why would she not treat someone else so badly that she knows nothing about? In my opinion, Ms. Rogers’ unchecked behavior reflects badly on her firm, Rogers, Kamm & Shea.
I cannot give any level of recommendation for this lawyer or her level of client (customer) service. I would never hire this lawyer, nor am I able I recommend this lawyer or her firm, Rogers, Kamm & Shea, to anyone seeking family law representation in his or her future.

Helen is the best divorce lawyer I know of in the Nashville area. If there was a better one I would have hired them. I was personally in divorce related litigation for years including numerous appeals. Trial after trial year after year and we never lost on any issue. In my business I work with lawyers all over the country on a daily basis in all areas of civil litigation including divorce, custody, support , abuse, etc. Helen and her team have seen it all and done it all. I did not have to pay for their education. Helen was very efficient and accessible. She worked to keep the bill down by using less costly staff as much as possible but when it came time for depositions or trial I felt like I was the only client she had. Most importantly Helen was always kept the focus on what was in the best interests of the children and very effective in obtaining that through her understanding and knowledge of the law, the rest of the players in the litigation and who the most credible experts were. Helen worked aggressively and wisely for settlement and fearlessly and prudently in trial and depositions. Helen and her team's work was the bright spot in an otherwise bad situation.

I want to start by saying Mr. Milazo is a great conversationalist. He was easy to speak with and encouraging when I felt rather distraught over my situation. However, Mr. Milazo was just that, "all talk." He charged for services never rendered and continued to drive my bill up until I finally dismiss him. I eventually hired another attorney that did a fantastic job.
Sadly, Mr. Milazo is, like most, a small fish in a large pond trying to make a name for himself. If he does not show you results early on in your case, move on to someone that can genuinely help you.

I was in a crisis and trying to get a restraining order against my boyfriend and he agreed to meet with me at the spur of the moment the same day, which was much appreciated. But first thing i noticed walking in was that he had his assistant and then one other girl just lingering around the door listening to everything i had to say about my very private and high profile case. I didnt appreciate extra ears being in the room doing nothing but wanting to hear all the details of my horrible situation for her own curiosity. I was very distraught and didnt have the mind to tell this chick to get lost.
Secondly, as i started to talk about obtaining palimony, this lawyer starts letting out sarcastic "ha's" and then saying, "i hate to break it to you but there is no law that will give you palimony." I already know this, but palimony IS recognized in the courts of california even though it is not a law there either. I was trying to ask him if it was recognized in court system here in TN, but he kept repetitively saying the same thing as though I was "missinformed." He obviously didn't understand what I was asking and kept on with his know-it-all, "youve been missinformed" and "somebodys been pullin your leg" attitude when he is completely ignorant to the way CA courts work. I was only asking if the system is the same in TN; I wasn't trying to have a debate about "the law."
Then, he starts urging me to go to a battered womens shelter where they will "help me." I was upset, i wasnt beat up so wtf? The only help i wanted was a preventative restraining order and turned out That since I didnt have a black eye, my story of past abuse wasnt really enough to warrent a restraining order.
I was insulted when he kept pushing the womens shelter pamphlet to me saying i should probably go there. For what? Thats not what i came to his office for. I have money, why would i go to a womems shelter and sleep on a cott when I can get a hotel room?
Anyways thats my opinion. The extra ears in the room was very unprofessional, not to mention that they all three stepped out of the doorway to proceed to loudly wisper as though i cant here what they are saying. Idiots. This is a private matter Milazo, extra ears should not be in the room. If you have something to say u say it in front of me. You dont take the details of my case and proceed to gossip in the doorway. I really feel like I should not have gone there and should have made them sign a privacy contract before telling them my case. All felt very elementary and gossipy... Which my case was very juicy i admit, but i wish i didnt tell these people anything.

My son’s dad recently used this company to change our current parenting plan. We went to mediation and settled on a new plan but I never got a copy. My son’s father recently passed away and I called to ask for a copy to see if it got finalized because like I said we went to mediation and I never heard anything after that.
I called to ask to speak to someone so I could get a copy to prove my son’s father did have partial custody of our son.
They refused to speak to me and told me they couldn’t since I was the other party even though the other party is passed away. Very unprofessional on their end.

I am not happy with this firm at all. Settled divorce, however there was 120 days for the other party to pay what was due, and the file was to stay open.
days passed no money and called - they will not even talk to me unless I start the process from the beginning etc.
Very unprofessional and I will be filing a complaint with the Board of Professional Responsibility. I doubt it will do much good, but other than this what can one do.

We retained Mrs Ogle for an important matter and was extremely disappointed in her representation. There were several times I reached out to find out the status on certain topics to no reply, ever. There were several things that she did not follow through with. I had several questions during our meeting and also the day of court and she literally told me “not now” or basically gave me a look that said shut up. She did not fight for the needs of our situation. The only time I felt confident in Mrs Ogle was when she was selling herself during the consultation. I regret hiring Mrs Ogle, she is not an aggressive attorney at all. Anyone looking to hire Mrs Ogle, I would look elsewhere. I have never written a review of any kind in my life but felt the need to save someone else from wasting their money.
