Michelle is amazing,
Having to deal with my legal issues was stressful. I don’t know what to expect. When I met Michelle for the first time she was easy to talk to, answered all my questions and explained how things would go each step of the way. She was always available to answer my questions. I feel like she worked really hard to help
the judge understand my situation and took time to write an extensive client report that was helpful and supportive to my case. I often refer her to my friends and family. I hope I never need her again, but if I do I would definitely work with Michelle!

Awful phone consultation experience. Divorce is a stressful experience but to have an attorney debate the abusive reality you experienced and be insentive to the concerns you have in regards to the other parent with young children was traumatizing. I felt belittled and dismissed . I expressedbriefly my abuse with my Russian husband as a black individual and was downplayed “ the courts don’t care about that unless you have proof” with out hearing me tell my full story. She then said well “I’m hearing your side and I don’t know what his side is so …” I’m reaching out to you to be my attorney it does not matter what his side is ! Maybe you don’t want to go against your own Russian people once you realized I’m a black person. She was asking me whether I was Russian or not that shouldn’t even be a factor !I do not recommend this lawyer and will be searching for another lawyer that can listen to my situation with out rudely interrupting me as I’m speaking.

My experience working with Faune and this firm had a negative impact on my case. She doesn't return calls and always told me to email her. Faune ignores calls and emails so how do you work with someone you can never talk to? Trying to set a time to meet with her was impossible because she was never around.
This was such a stressful time and you think she would make time to meet her clients. It made sense on why it took so long for anything to happen in my case because I had to always ask her to do the work. Even when you ask to speak to Steve Dinneen he doesn't respond or get involved. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone unless you never want your case to move forward.

From the day that I met Faune, I felt a certain calmness with my case, as she reassured me that this would not be a problem to resolve. Asking questions and paying close attention to the details, every time I contacted Faune in regards to my case, she was always willing to discuss my concerns and addressed them with the utmost professionalism. Jennifer was terrific at representing me in Los Angeles County. My divorce case originated in Hawaii, with my ex-wife fighting over visitation with my 2 daughters and demanding large alimony and refusing to settle. It took 5 years, but it is finally over and I am free of alimony in CA. Jennifer wrote successfully and researched past case law to make a successful argument and get my ex-wife to settle. I thought my divorce would never be over, and finally it was. I would certainly recommend Skolnick Family Law.

My story is probably nothing new and will sound very familiar. Phil and I met and married in Dallas. I worked during our marriage and my husband was the primary source of income with consideration to our lifestyle. I also helped with his financial problems early in our relationship, before and after marriage. I had more in savings, a steady job, and an A rating credit report. After three years of marriage he wanted to move back to Los Angeles, where he was working in the entertainment field, and restart his career that collapsed due to a substance abuse problem. With reluctance, I quit job and career path and moved from Dallas to Los Angeles for my husband’s career, which increased his income substantially. My career however faltered in Los Angeles and I had to start over again in a different field and work my way up. After 12 years of marriage we divorced.
Two years after the divorce was final, my ex came back requesting to stop support claiming health issues was causing him to work less. I contacted my original attorney and he could not take the case due to his workload and traveling and he sent me several referrals. After contacting all of them I felt confident with Jennifer Skolnick. She returned my calls, was communicative of the process and gave me realistic expectations of possible outcomes. She didn’t sugar coat the realities of court proceedings which I appreciated.
Part of the legal process required financial disclosure on both parties, and this is what scared me most. I was diligent about saving my money for the future and I thought a judge would side with my ex-husband and say that I didn’t need his support any longer. With a fine-tooth comb, Jennifer reviewed my financials and my ex-husband’s and determined that there were no significant changes in either of our income’s and he did not work less or make less since his visits to his doctor. But still noted that a judge will make the final decision. She then reviewed his medical reports and tests and found a statement buried in the reports that Phil admitted that he did not believe that his health was affecting his work and was able to work full time-even though he claimed his health was the reason he was requesting to stop spousal support. I believe it was Ms. Skolnick’s diligence in reviewing years of financials and medical reports that helped our case for spousal support to continue. In writing my declarations and memos of opposition Jennifer wrote with a logical and concise flow, had facts to back up statements of Phil’s financial stability, my contribution to my marriage, giving up my career for his, and his ability to continue to work and that his health improved with medication. There was no comparison with Ms. Skolnick’s declarations and memos of opposition and my ex’s attorney’s. My documents were factual and well written whereas his attorney had no facts to back up any of their grievances.
Ms. Skolnick’s attention to detail was valuable. She asked several questions about my marriage, asking about subjects and details I never thought would make a difference in defending my case. Her questions made me think about what I did for my husband financially before and during our marriage, where he was in his life before we met and when we met, our lifestyle habits, his spending habits and mine, and the responsibility of taking care of our home. It was an emotional 5 months of gathering documents and remembering the beginning, middle, and ending of a relationship but Ms. Skolnick was able to help and keep me on track with her “to do lists” for me that helped me get through this process.
Ms. Skolnick is an exemplary attorney and I would strongly recommend her.

I hired Jennifer Skolnick as my attorney for a divorce case in Los Angeles County, and she did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend her. My goal was to settle out-of-court, and Jennifer is very good creative suggestions to reach an out-of-court settlement. Jennifer writes beautifully, both brief and clear for the Judge: I could tell that the Judge had read and understood Jennifer's well written court documents submittals, and I believe that it clearly helped the ruling, especially in getting visitation with my daughter. She also never, ever over-billed on my case. I can certainly highly recommend Jennifer as an excellent Family Law attorney.

I hired Kaleen for a restraining order case which I was super happy about her helping me out with and winning the case. I then proceeded to hire her to take care of my divorce and child custody and we’ll then things just went down after that. Kaleen and Andrew don’t go above and beyond for their clients. They don’t answer all questions and are not reliable. With my case being so on going, they both decided to just give me the substitution of attorney without finishing my case even though I’ve payed for all services. I felt more anxious and overwhelmed my last hearing while being represented by them. If you want an attorney to have your back and fight for you, they will not be the right people for you.

Don't confuse her for an advocate for the abused.
She has high rates & shows little compassion for abused women & children. During consultation, she checks her cell phone often, and has people come in and out of the conference room. She's dismissive and seems arrogant. 🚩
She seems to like the thrill of the games of the court system and in it for money $$ and power. I will not hire Michelle Brooker JD.

I was uncomfortable from the first time I walked into the office. I felt like I was in the middle where they just grind out bankruptcies. I was not happy about filing a bankruptcy but it needed to be done. In the meantime things went from bad to worse my son died and I was in the hospital for a month. When I told them I really wanted to go with a different firm one of their employees told me that they would keep me in court to use all the money. I was talking about small claims court. She was almost yelling at me. I’m thinking about making a complaint with the state attorney board. But I warn you right now stay away from them. I am shortly going to be 74 years old. And the way she yelled at me it was almost elder abuse. I believe their shysters. And due to my failing health. I’ve been delayed and filing a small claims court. To my knowledge you cannot be represented by an attorney in small claims court. But apparently their employee thought differently. Beware

Riccardo is hands down the best divorce attorney i have ever seen. He helped me quickly to get my divorce situated. Riccardo is extremely intelligent, he remembers details very well and calls the night before you go to court to make sure your ok and go over details, not many attorneys take the time and remember all details of your case. He has a very sharp memory. He’s very empathetic to medical issues. He is soft spoken but he absolutely gets the job done.

Duplicity, cunning, conieving attorney at law, who is a feministic practicing misandry. Had orders of protection issued based on falacy and misused the system. Her false practices contribute to clogging the system unnecessarily, preventing true abuse cases from having their cases thoroughly examined and causing irreparable harm to children via parental alienation of good fathers. First, let me say that if you're trying to negotiate a "fair outcome" during divorce without involving lawyers, good luck. As an non family law expert, relying only on hearsay from family, friends, and tv shows, I was ill prepared to reach a "fair" resolution.
6 years after my divorce was finalized, Christie assisted me when my ex had a "qualifying event" to modify spousal support. She knows when to play the game and when to turn on the bulldog switch. I was pleased with the mutually beneficial outcome she helped me nail down.

I hired Nicole for a divorce case. The divorce was ultimately filed in a different jurisdiction so I didn't get to see the full process through with her and her team, but I greatly appreciated their expertise, professionalism, and empathy throughout my time working with them. Nicole was the right choice to handle my recent divorce proceeding. She was professional all the way through and I am very happy with the results of my case. She took charge from the beginning and although we were on opposite sides with an attorney, a forensic accountant and an ex-husband who wanted to challenge our positions every step of the way, Nicole did not back down ever and always fought for me to get me the best result possible. She did not sugarcoat anything - she explained my positions from a legal standpoint and if the laws were not on my side on a particular issue, she explained why. She is extremely thorough in her preparations and was always several steps ahead of the opposing counsel, which worked to our advantage. I wanted to get through the process as quickly as possible and I provided everything in a timely manner and Nicole and her team took it from there. I felt that we were a team working toward the same goal and we settled the case in about a year. There was never a time when I was waiting on her to get something done; Nicole was always on top of things and always returned calls or responded to emails quickly and efficiently. Nicole is very knowledgable about family law and really understands the legal environment in Orange County. During my case, she moved from a larger firm to a smaller, boutique family law practice as a partner. She explained her decision to do this as her wanting to have a better ability to serve her clients in the most favorable way possible, and I did find this to be the case after she made the transition. Nicole makes sure that whoever is assisting her in her practice is competent and professional. I was referred to Nicole through a family member who knows her from her work on the Orange County Bar Assoc. Ethics Committee. When opposing counsel or my ex became combative, Nicole firmly pointed out our positions, backing her assertions with facts based in law, and never tolerated disrespect or unethical behavior on the part of opposing side. She always handled any conflict with a firm understanding of the law, and a high standard of ethics. The opposing side knew that she was a force to be reckoned with, but she was never disrespectful and always expected propriety from everyone on both sides. Nicole conveyed confidence, integrity, and professionalism throughout the year-long divorce process. Nicole made sure that I understood what the future may hold in regard to modification of my court orders and she worked diligently during the proceeding to document all pertaining facts and to make sure that whatever may come later would be prepared for with substantial evidence and information relevant to my case. Nicole was also very responsive to my questions and inquiries and has remained so even though my case is now complete. I know that I can always count on her if I need her in the future. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an intelligent, ethical, knowledgable family law attorney who will guide and advise them through what is very likely an emotionally difficult and challenging time. Nicole had the right amount of empathy for what I was going through, but also knew how to steer me toward getting to the end result - freedom from a marriage that was not working. Nicole made sure that I would have a future with the financial support that I deserved after a long term marriage and she really wanted the best for me personally, which I really appreciated. Mr Graham's performance on my case was shocking. He repeatedly demonstrated a dangerous lack of attention to detail generating error ridden discovery documents and a frustrating inability to comprehend simple financial transactions. He’s a nice guy but he does not have a productive bone in his body. His paralegal and him would charge for opening emails and not respond to opposing counsel. You would do much better setting out of correct without Andrew representing you. He will collect $19k in two months without making any progress on your case.

I had David for more than several years. There are positive aspects and in most cases progress made but it has come at a terrible cost, excessive wasted time and fees. Often times, key issues I made, most concerning facts about the litigation, I kept reminding and warning to David but always get pushback and always lose on the very aspect I kept warning. It has become such a problematic and chronic to the point it has become clear pattern of wasting legal fees for no reason and i have become weary of evening reminding him because it is just brushed off. Availability is another huge area of concern, after 3 years, he still as busy as ever, always in trial and extended days and weeks and unreachable. The issue is somewhat mitigated by calling assistant by scheduling certain date and time but that is significant overhead and far out in the future i.e. 2-3 weeks away when there are something needed to be done much sooner with urgency.

My son hired Mr. Cloud for a child custody case. I don't think Mr. Cloud was interested in my sons case at all. Mr. Cloud did not meet one on one with my son before meeting him for the first time in court. My son supplied his staff all necessary information regarding the case. Mr. Cloud did not use any of the info. In fact my son had to negotiate his visitation schedule. When the case was over we requested a call, it was scheduled Mr. Cloud never called. He took the money and ran. Really disappointed with the way he represented my son in court.

Everything was at stake when I called Paula Kleinman. At first I tried to defend myself. It seemed to me like an open and shut case. The opposing party admitted in court to having no evidence other than their testimony. Unfortunately under our legal system their testimony was enough for the judge to drag the case out in multiple hearings over four months! I felt extremely frustrated, resentful, anxious and like I had absolutely no voice in the process that was consuming my life. At my wits end, I picked up the telephone and contacted Paula. When she began representing me she was at a disadvantage because I had already tried to represent myself (rather poorly) over multiple hearings. But she grasped the details quickly. She represented me at the final hearing and won the case without me saying a word. During the hearing the judge actually stated to me that I had "an excellent attorney". It was at that moment I began to feel confident for the first time in months. We won the case that day. This experience taught me a valuable lesson. I learned that, when it comes to legal matters, it's not enough to have the truth on your side. Unless you are an expert in the law, the truth may never even be heard in court because judges are unpredictable and witnesses can be vengeful, untruthful or even suffering from mental health issues which are not considered by the court. Without Paula I believe there would have been a terrible miscarriage of justice.

I retained Kelly upon deciding to file for divorce from my now ex-wife. It's a decision I will regret for the rest of my life.
I explained to Kelly my situation upfront and what I expected my ex to try to use against me. She indicated that wouldn't be an issue in retaining joint custody of my kids as long as I was regular part of their life and routines, and that Family Court wouldn't use the arrest as a basis of proof that I did anything wrong or abusive.
My ex was ultra-aggessive and hired an attorney that amplified her aggression to obtain sole custody and ability to move children to East Coast. They secured Nancy Lemon (DV expert) to produce a 20 page report painting me as an abuser, just from talking to my ex and her accounting of incidents, real and made-up.
I was appalled and scared when I saw this, but even more so when Kelly indicated she had never seen anything like this before. It was clear at that point that she was in over her head and over-matched.
The bulk of the strategy was spent trying to defend against their numerous false narratives and accusations. I provided everything I could think of to combat their accusations including written responses to the “incidents” they claimed occurred, and even providing potential witness list to attest to the voracity of her claims (neighbors, teachers, family members, friends). To my surprise, Kelly immediately sent over the potential witness list to opposing counsel before we even discussed it and the strategy involved in using these potential witnesses. After all of this, at trial we ended up with ZERO character witnesses while my ex had three witnesses on their side (including her mother). Kelly only pursued one (and they ended as a witness for the other side). This was a clear misstep on Kelly’s part and left me looking like I had no supporters while my ex had multiple. After being through this experience, I understand that it’s a perception game and whomever plays it the best, wins over the judge. Kelly’s excuse was that friends and family would be seen as biased.. but she didn’t even consider using teachers and neighbors, mutual friends and this assisted in me losing the perception game.
Another tactical misstep was in not spending enough time detailing my involvement in my kids life. So much time was spent on defending against their accusations… but if more time was spent on my involvement as a father and the need for me to be in their lives, it would’ve been much more difficult for judge to grant decision for them to be moved away from me.
Aside from the many tactical mistakes and missteps, Kelly was simply unprofessional. In court, there were many times the judge had to reprimand her for her behavior and it was clear she wasn’t effective with her in-court arguments at all. She was thoroughly out-maneuvered and dominated in court by the opposing counsel.
Other tactical missteps included not insisting on a Custody Evaluation and making the judge accountable to do so before rending a custody verdict, and in allowing the judge to render a 3044 ruling without there being a standing restraining order issued. These were two areas that baffled others that looked at my case.
Outside of court, she was unprofessional in her dealings with me, multiple times yelling or being very short with me in our meetings. There was one occasion where I was very worried and emotional regarding the judge possibly making a decision just off of her testimony, and she showed no sensitivity and instead yelled at me saying “The worst thing that can happen is they allow your ex to move your kids to the other side of the country. It’s not the end of the world.” That showed me right there that she didn’t understand how serious this was for me. Why else would I be paying this much to her if it wasn’t a big deal?
When I lost custody, it was the worst day of my life. And I regretted not changing counsel when I had a chance.

I cannot say enough about Kelly Gamble and her staff. I had a somewhat complicated case and had been to another attorney in San Leandro that said he could not help me. I was totally freaked that I was not going to be able to protect my nephew and I called Kelly's office and set up an appointment.
WOW Kelly said she would do what she could, we had an out of state emergency guardianship case to protect our nephew who was staying with us on a temporary basis. Kelly and her staff got right on everything RIGHT AWAY as time was the essence. Kelly is OFF THE CHARTS SUPPORTIVE and will get the job done. Kelly is NOT afraid of a challenge. Not only is she a GREAT attorney but a wonderful person !!!!!!

I’m writing this review about Mr. Roger Rombro
Usually I don’t write reviews but I found this review very important because as a man who is going through a divorce with a lot of stresses I found Mr Romo cause more stress than a relief. He used to be a good lawyer, but I think with aging, he’s not doing good at all. All the good reviews are eight years old nothing recent. He overcharged Me intentionally, he forgot to submit important documents to the court which caused a lot of financial stresses to me.
He used the super lawyer certificate everywhere in his office although this is a paid advertisement and does not reflect the current service that he provides.
I fired him after he charged me thousands of dollars while he was in vacation.

In hindsight, conducting thorough research prior to engaging Roger Rombro's services would have been prudent. I highly recommend conducting an internet search to review lawsuits associated with his professional practice.
My decision to retain Roger was influenced by his extensive years of experience, which unfortunately did not translate into satisfactory service. He consistently failed to meet deadlines, exhibited unprofessional behavior such as berating his staff and clients—including myself—and demonstrated a lack of respect by attending to unrelated matters during our meetings, all while billing for the time spent.
Subsequently, I transitioned to a legal representative with comparatively less experience. However, this attorney demonstrated commendable dedication by promptly responding to communications, even outside of regular business hours, and diligently returning missed calls.

Sandra is a trustworthy, nice, ethical, and smart lawyer. She provided legal represention for my divorce for over 14 months. She understands and is knowlegbable about family law. I would recommend her for simple and straightfoward divorvce cases, with minimal complexity or challenge.
That said, for complex, detailed, and combative, and adversarial divorce cases, I would not recommend her. I experienced constant delays, lack of feedback ,and lack of clear direction from Sandra during my case. I had several outstanding issues that were never resolved after many dicussions with her. At times she seemed a bit overwhelmed .
After switching to new legal counsel, sevral of my unresolved issues managed by Sandra are in the process of being addressed and resolved after only a few days. I now have a very clear game plan.
I like Sandra on a personal basis and wish her much sucesss in the future.

In a memo submitted to the judge Mitchell confused my misdemeanor with a felony. He told the judge I was convicted of this felony when I plead guilty to a misdemeanor. For him, having a felony or a misdemeanor conviction didn't make much difference. For some time, my CA DOJ materials were being mailed to the wrong address. When I told his office, he was unaware of this problem and at first didn't do anything. My record needs more cleaning up, and when I asked him "what next?" he politely excused himself. I was given a bad deal by the judge, and Mitchell ignored this fact.

I went to this Attorney because I was going through a Divorce and didn't have tons of money. I met Mr. Mitchell and really liked him. I paid my money and was disappointed after with the paralegal that didn't do the paperwork like she should have and I had to keep calling, the paper ended up being filed the night before the hearing. Then I had to work with another attorney from his office and this attorney did nothing for me, he even forgot to show up on a court date. The judge let me call him and wait. There was many times that this Attorney could have said something and just sat there drawing on a yellow pad. Like he was in deep thought and yes I elbowed him several times. When we left the room he told me I know what women like you want. I have no idea what that means. I would like to thank him for standing up for me and my daughter! (NOT). A little research and found out why he seemed to be out of it. His Step daughter was killed and he was in the process of suing the city. I'm so sorry for his loss, but really feel that Mr. Mitchell should have given me someone else and in my opinion he is responsible for who he has in his office.

I do not feel that bankruptcy is a fix all, but sometimes things happen. I went through a divorce that left my finances in ruin (I wish I had used Mr. Mitchell then) and when it can down to taking care of my kids or starving, I choose to file bankruptcy. Scott Mitchell and his staff were so helpful and treated me with care (I was embarrassed). It really went well and now I get a chance to start over!

By far probably one of the worse family law attorney offices out there. All they care about is your money. They will act like they care about your case and be friendly but do the absolute minimal amount of work possible. They literally charge you for every text message and any type of correspondence. Worst experience with an attorney in my entire life- I couldn’t afford to pay his exorbitant costs anymore and as such he said he was dropping my case
Instead he continued to work behind my back with my ex husband and his lawyer for 3 months and attempted to have my son taken away from me
He never once made any contact with me or my children or ex lawyer to hear anything we had to say
Worst parenting coordinator in Sonoma County by far
Don’t use him unless you want to give him all of your money to get him on your side

I dont know what happened but shawn said he was going to fight for my mom. We didnt feel that it happened. He said he was going to fight for half of the properties the pention and spousal support the car and so on. None of that happened except half of the pention and the house was sold but my dad ended up keeping the properties and the car. And all this took forever to end but my mom isnt happy with the outcome of how he said he was going to get all this and didnt get it like he said. I honestly dont recomend. I thought he was going to do more and didnt. My dad basically got to keep everything
