I'm a father to two of the most perfect kids in the world! Going to court in ILLINOIS fighting for time with my childeren I've only ever heard horror stories. I thank God everyday for the choice in lawyers i made. Joel not only made me feel confident the entire time, but was more than well respected in the halls of the courtroom let alone in the courtroom. Its my understanding hes been doing this a long time and you can sure tell just by walking with him in the hallway. The respect shown to him and the respect he shows to others. Second to NONE. I felt like i was walking around with a celebrity. But anyone can make friends and have respect shown to them. The true tell was when court took place and ended. Gabriela Asrow gave me my freedom.
My divorce and post divorce was extremely complicated to say the least.
Gabriela jumped in head first, knows the law and my allocation back and forth, and represented me with gusto and professionalism.
I was often shocked by the information she knew in an instance about my case in particular. Only because it seemed knowledge that I would have front of mind, and no one else should. Gabriela did.
What I truly appreciate about Gabriela is that she listened to my wants and needs, told me what was reasonable and what was not, and WHY!
Understanding the why allowed me to be more flexible and realistic in my expectations and needs.
Gabriela stuck with me, no matter how extremely tough it got, was 100% real with me and truly helped me be free. Without Gabriela, I’d still be trapped.

My divorce was extremely contentious to say the least. Negotiations were extremely difficult. However, Ms. Gabriela Asrow never gave up. The mere fact the divorce was finalized in a little over a year is a testament to her hard work. I appreciated her vast knowledge of the law which was very helpful during this difficult process. I entered the conversation initially thinking most of the heavy lifting was done; however, it was quickly apparent there were more topics that needed to be addressed and quickly. I was connected to Alex Moskovic through an Employer referral service at my work. I hired him regarding a no contact staking order against a former employee who harassed me and my family electronically and exerted multiple threats. This was an emotionally very draining time. In short, Alex helped me to obtain a 2 year plenary order by agreement, a rare achievement thanks to his great knowledge of the law. With the order in place I feel protected from the harasser and can continue living my life. As someone who never faced any legal situation, Alex guided me through the process and was available to talk when I needed him. He calmly answered all my questions and explained happenings in court, their implications and next steps in a way I could understand, which was important to me. Alex also multiple times provided his professional opinion on a parallel criminal case against the same individual that was ongoing. To support my statement I will tell you why I feel this way...
My legal needs started in Florida when I was going through a high conflict divorce. I had two lawyers in Florida before moving back to Illinois where I needed to basically go through the mediation and divorce process all over again in order to transfer my child support guidelines and parenting plan to the state of illinois where my Ex and children relocated to and I moved to to be closer to my kids.
Going through this process again (Mediation, Parenting Plan changes, etc) was extremely stressful initially beacuse I feared it wouldn't go well, as that was my experience in Florida. I soon realized because of Alex's experience, care, and insightful and timely communication, this go round was going to be different for me.
I felt hamstrung somewhat, due to my actions in the past and the previous outcomes of emergency motions, relocation hearing, awarded child sharing time previously, etc, that things would not work out in my favor again. That was not the case this time around. I had made changes in my life to better myself as a person, however in the legal field / court room the past will always resurface. I interviewed several lawyers and all were great, however what set Shana apart from the rest is she understood my case and fears and showed she wanted to help me protect my children. She knew that my children were my priority and she never lost sight of that.
