I have spent the past 10 years in and out of family court. The cost, stress, and difficulties of the family court system in Illinois have made life very difficult. I have been through two other attorneys prior to finding Tony. My experience with family law attorneys is they just go through the motions and have little concern for you on a personal level, not to mention in many instances they could care less that the family law system is destroying and hurting both you and your children. I recently went through yet another legal issue in family court. But this time I had Tony as my attorney. Tony does something most other attorneys don't. He listens, cares, has compassion for your situation, but most importantly knows how to navigate the family law system and fight to secure the best possible outcome in the quickest fashion. He doesn't waste your time or money and he cares about the people he fights for and their families. I am happy to say this time around I prevailed due to Tony. He handled the conflict and the system like no other attorney I have had over the past ten years. Due to his efforts we were able to defuse a situation that in the past would have cost me thousands and thousands of dollars in legal cost. My issue was resolved quickly and effectively and I felt safe and protected. Great attorney, wonderful man!

Anthony Calzaretta, is a very personable, intelligent, and effective man. Mr. Calzaretta, thinks of every problem that may arise, and every solution possible. I have had another attorney, and he was awful. I had to hire Mr. Calzaretta to fix a very large unnecessary mess, and he does get right to the point. This man wants your very best interest. Over a 2 year period I was represented by Catherine Byrne and found the experience to a good one when it came to representation. She was prompt, detailed and always well prepared in her presentation. What I found most enlightning was responsiveness in getting to know me as a father and not just a client. I think this helped a great deal in how she approached the representation.
She was able to make things happen, get us in and out of court and have all issues addressed. Catherine is well respected in family court and always treated the process with respect.

Catherine took on my case knowing that it would be an uphill battle. She and her staff were great keeping me informed and always sent me emails AND hard copies of all motions and responses that she filed on my behalf. She is a dedicated attorney that spent a tremendous amount of time on my case. She is aggressive, determined and results oriented. Cases can get very costly, especially if your case goes to trial. However, I don't believe Catherine deliberately bills hours to inflate cost. On the contrary, in my case, Catherine fought hard to resolve my case however my ex-husband and his attorney keep prolonging our case by being uncooperative, unresponsive and unwilling to negotiate. My case did indeed go to trial. During my trial, Catherine came in fully prepared with facts, documents, and case law that backed up each argument. She was focused, prepared, and confident! As I sat in court, I remember thinking how glad I was that I had her on my side! As a result or her knowledge, hard work and dedication, we were victorious!
The bottom line is when you are going through the process of selecting an attorney, your really do get what you pay for! And, it's equally as important to note, that - as a client - you get what you give. Without question, it behooves clients to be COMPLETELY honest & forthright with Catherine and provided her with all the facts and the information she requests in a timely fashion. By providing her with the information she needed quickly, she was able to work efficiently and focus on the law and how it applied to my case.
I honestly can't say enough great things about Ms. Byrne. She has looked out for me and my family since day one and I hold her in the highest regard. She has a perfect mix of integrity & Hootzpa. I was in search of an attorney to help me with a mortgage assumption (transferring my mortgage loan to a family member) and was pretty confused about what I even needed help doing. I was referred to the office from a realtor friend. Elizabeth answered my email super quickly and was right to work helping me get started. Although Elizabeth had informed me she and her office colleagues are not in the realm of mortgage assumptions - she did help me tremendously. Richard is a very experienced lawyer. He took his time explaining to me the process of the court as I was in the process of getting custody of my son. There is alot more than just filing papers he went above and beyond by answering calls of mine on his personal time and always being prepared for court. Never did I feel like he stole any time from me as it was getting deducted from the initial deposit given at the time of hire. Unfortunately he works for a different firm located in downtown chicago and it is a bit of a drive for me but he is highly recommended. He is now with Jeffrey M Leving law firm.

My daughter starts at Southern Oaks tomorrow in Ky, my hometown, thanks to Andrew Rankin. I'm so nervous and excited for this change. I'm even more excited for her. More than anything, the fact that she is so happy about moving, let's me know this is exactly where we are supposed to be. Going through this divorce has been the most heart wrenching experience not just on me, but for my girls. I never imagined being treated by the man I loved for so long in such hateful and slanderous ways. 5 months ago I received a petition for divorce, alimony, sole custody, child support, and a restraining order keeping me within 50 miles of his residence when Im not even from here nor know anyone because I spent 4 years focused solely on my degree and family. Thanks to Mr Andrew Rankin, he gave me the best birthday gift yesterday, the call to tell me to go home. I have my family back despite my ex's tremendous amount of lies and manipulation. I hired Megan Harris for my divorce and custody case. Megan helped me obtain custody of my 3 young children. I think that's a huge feat for a dad in the first place. Issues arose post divorce and re-hired megan and she was there for me every step of the way. She is always available, she even was available for me on weekends. She will fight for you, communication is immediate, she will help you see the reality of the situation, and help facilitate agreements so not to drag things out of no reason. I was in a very unique situation and had my driver's license suspended for a whole year due to a misunderstanding where a police officer thought I had a fake ID. I was told by countless other lawyers in the area that deal with license suspensions that they have never heard of such a situation, that I had no case and that I would be wasting my money trying to fight the (in my opinion) wrongful suspension.
Todd took on my case with optimism and no judgement. He was very professional and a pleasure to work with. He helped me through the process of a formal hearing at the Secretary of State's office.
Best case scenario, we were hoping for my year long suspension for a fake ID to be changed to a 3 month suspension for underage drinking. I ended up getting my license back and not having to serve a 3 month suspension either. My expectations were absolutely exceeded and I highly recommend Todd as a legal representative.

Enter Todd Polito. Both he and his firm have an incredible reputation both statewide and in Will County. Long story short, my case was successfully dismissed. Additionally, Todd was extremely helpful with non-court related matters including working with the Secretary of State and potential employment issues regarding my arrest.

Darren Miller did an excellent job at representing me against a case of a vendor that wanted to charge me thousands of dollars for work not done (a broken construction contract due to incompetence). Not only did he address the other lawyer in a very professional way, he asked good questions and did not give up. I won my case. I have a rule, that my attorney has to be very intelligent and competent and Darren Miller fits the bill. I would use him for larger cases as well.
