I used Mike for a long drawn out divorce that lasted about 2 and half years. Why another review and why is this my only trusted family law firm? Lidia is up-to-date with technology which makes payment and communication seamless. In addition to her prestigious resume Lidia is respected by many attorneys and that is something a client can be proud of. My case was a bit more with a DuPage Order of Protection and Kane County family court seemingly to overlap; I was not competent and felt was losing this particular hearing. I cannot recommend Jim Zuba highly enough. I hired Jim to represent me through my stressful parentage case, and it was an absolute pleasure. Marc took on my case with very little notice prior to my court date and made himself available to guide me through the process. He was available during off hours via calls, texts, and Teams meetings, even while I was traveling out of town on business. In the end of April of 2022 until August of 2023, Diane was with me every step of the way for my felony charges. What once began as a desperate plea for help turned into what I consider a lifetime fond memory to cherish.
In my opinion which I have voiced numerous times throughout this journey, I believe I owe her much more than what was paid. To not only sit and walk you through what options are available, but to also connect to you as a person, a human with emotions, (which you won’t see often in the judicial system) Diane stood firm and represented me strongly.
I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder which clouds my ability to rationalize, comprehend, remember, and above all to stay positive. Each time she refocused me on the goal at hand and the work we had to do to achieve said goal.
In the end it paid off.
I thank God it’s finally over.
And although I plan to never go through something like this again, if I do she’ll be the one I call.

Lynn was the point person who sold me on the notion of using her and her firm for a large portion of my divorce. Admittedly, I bought fully into everything I heard in that initial conversation. After many, many months of what can only be described as one step forward, two steps back, I realized the sophomoric mistakes I had made. Once I found a different, suitable attorney and we built a relationship, I was asked: "What in the world did they actually do for you for $XX,XXX?" Not only was my case with her immediately handed off to an underling with near-zero experience, Lynn never once checked in with me to see if she could help get things moving again. I am not one to make these types of errors often and this was very costly, both financially and to the well-being of my children. She and her firm (father) seem to have built a tremendous name for themselves yet I have lived through a seemingly never ending experience that is a testament to the contrary. Continuance after continuance, deposition after deposition and sizable bills became the norm. There was even a time where I was being deposed and asked questions completely unrelated to anything at hand and the underling, my counsel, looked at me blankly and said nothing. In fact, my questions were rarely answered with anything concrete and reliable. In hindsight, a great many motions could have been handled differently which would have saved money, time and heartache. I strongly advise looking elsewhere. Great harm was done.

I recently had to switch from being represented by a different attorney to pro se. During my last hearing, the Judge gave me a list of my next steps & I was trying to write everything down as fast as possible. It was apparent I felt very overwhelmed at that moment as I walked away from the bench not sure where to turn first. As I sifted through the court forms searching for the one I needed - Lynn approached me & said "here, let me help you". Not once during these 14 months of divorce agony had I ever cried in court. The waterworks just started flowing. I was blown away that this complete stranger, simply out of the kindness of her heart, saw how overwhelmed I felt & took it upon herself to approach me, help me complete the form, walked me over to the other courtroom the Judge instructed me to do, & stood by my side as I spoke with the new Judge getting further instructions. She recapped with me my next steps. ALL WITHOUT KNOWING ONE ANOTHER. I hugged her before I even asked her name. I left the courthouse that day feeling an overwhelming sense of hope - in the world. Such selfless kindness as Lynn displayed that day is truly a RARE find. I wish I would have known about her before this. If you're searching for a truly compassionate attorney, I would absolutely recommend consulting with Lynn.

Long story short, my ex was acting crazy. It seemed like every day he was bringing up some new fantasy as way to try to get back to me in court. Yeah, I freaked out. But Things handled it well. when she told me we were going to let him dig his own grave, I didn't really know what she was talking about. Then It worked out. She had great ideas and explained things to me, which is a lot more than I can say for my old lawyer. Great!

I hired Ms. Collier for a divorce that involved my estranged wife in another state. Ms. Collier prepared my paperwork right away, filed it with the court and began the process of serving her and getting the proper authorizations from the court. Ms. Collier was always prompt, and did not drag out my case. She is honest, upfront and transparent with everything she does. I could not ask for a better attorney to handle my case. Ugly experience! Jeff Muntz was a Gardian Ad Litem(GAL) in my divorce case. Jeff Muntz was composing an Allocation Judgement for parental time... 1 year! I spent tons of hours trying to make a "document" from his poor craft but eventually I failed... as there was inserted a clear misreading with a previous 'temporary' Court order (hand-written craft by Muntz too which was not revoked) and thus 2 documents are allowed to be interpreted by counter part in a free way. It's a mess. But their billing is not less terrible! They did not send me bills but I was receiving scary late payment reminders instead... and after I was asking them for bills to send me - I paid them then. But... Jeff Muntz sent me a bunch of emails after that I owe them $500+. I replied that there is a zero balance and that their accounting and billing are terrible... Jeff Muntz told me that he will file a fee petition but did not send me any bills or reconciling papers. The pure racketeering! They are just money suckers.

Lynn Wypych could use some improvement, and here is why…
1. Does not answer the telephone or take phone calls. Hides behind emails
2. Overcharges. As a state appointed employee, she nickel and dimes hard working families
3. Does not explain her decisions. She is the second most powerful person in your divorce, and she does not explain the why behind her decisions. She just comes down hard on families with unjust recommendations to the court, and when questioned, hides behind emails and will not get back to you or your attorney.
There is always more to the story, but these are the basics. She has charged my ex-wife and I over $50,000 for effectively nothing. Yes, I am upset with the fact that I have been on supervised visits for three years without explanation as to why or what needs to be done on my part to relieve the supervision. Another $25,000 sent to the supervisor with no end in sight and an excellent track record with the visits / great relationship with my children, it should be obvious as to why I am annoyed with Lynn. A telephone call on her part may be a start in mending the relationship, but I won’t hold my breath…

I hired Kristin about 2 years into my divorce case, when things were spinning out of control. She was able to take over my file and make sense of it all. She quickly started a custody agreement and GAL process so we could keep moving on the case. She didn’t shy away from the opposing counsel when they started to get aggressive, and took it a step further to challenge them. She had calls with the GAL and opposing counsel outside of court status hearings to try and speed things up as well. Her office staff is also very friendly and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend Kristin to anyone going through divorce.

My only complaint is that I didn't hire Kristin and her team sooner!! I had hired two divorce attorneys previous to Kristin and my case was at a stand still. I was beginning to lose hope. Kristin was extremely patient and very friendly. She really worked to understand all the facts of my case and helped finally got things moving. Where my other attorneys could never be reached, Kristin and her team were always available and happy to answer my questions.
