While Ms Arcuri was responsive and knowledgable, my divorce took two years, and I had to prompt her quite a few times to keep things moving along. I didn't feel like she really "fought" for me, I felt like she went through the motions, and I ended up basically giving up the farm just to get rid of my ex, because nothing was happening unless I made concessions. In the end, I got minimal child support, only had my kids half the time, and I basically feel like I could have fared better with just about any other lawyer. And it cost me a fortune. Highly disappointed. Would not recommend her to anyone.

As I recall, very unresponsive. Impossible to have a conversation with her and when you do, you only get 2 seconds of her time. Those two seconds are valuable, and she knows the law. But there's no explanation of law or process, nor time given to a paying client ... or maybe my case wasn't important enough.

This is a 2.5 rating. I have substantial legal experience myself and have attended law school and been involved in regulatory compliance and regulation and law development for many years.
Keith was empathetic and potentially realistic.
However he was also unresponsive and seemingly not interested in pursuing a difficult case.
The negotiated consent order on custody of children perpetuated a situation that is likely not in the best interests of the children.
We are back in court. I am representing my self and making good progress. Admittedly, this is a tough case involving the professional misconduct of child’s mental health counselor, who recommended that the children leave my custody. After filing a complaint with the NYS Education Department, this counselor is currently being prosecuted on numerous charges associated with professional misconduct including incompetence and negligence.
I can’t fault Keith for this, he has likely never seen a fact pattern like this. It is pretty unique.

In New York it's hard for a father to get a fair shake when it comes to custody of their children.
Eskin & Eskin were able to get me full custody of my son.

At first she seems sincere and determined to help me but that quickly turned into raking up extra unnecessary bills and invoices. She prioritized clients as paychecks, never responded to calls/texts/emails until the last possible second. She not only wasted thousands of my dollars but also years dragging on my divorce! She is my sons attorney and she really cares about him. I know she does her job from the heart and fights for what's right. When everyone was trying to put me down and my lawyer was absent she really did and said what she could to stick up for me and not make me look like a terrible person or mother and also stuck by my sons side at the same time. Today was my sons birthday and he passed away and I had court today and had a lot on my mind and she really made me feel better like I'm worthy and not a piece of trash. She's a mother and I know a mother understands that we fight for our kids. Most, to the best of my knowledge plan on getting divorced. I did not after many years of marriage. When that ugly day arrives one searches for the best attorney they can have. I interviewed several and knew I made the right choice when I chose Jennifer Coden. She held my hand all to often and understood what my needs were. I hired Jennifer a year ago after interviewing numerous attorneys to go through a very emotional divorce. As soon as I met her I knew that she was the attorney for me. She is warm, caring, friendly, patient, thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable. She made me feel better immediately. Many times I have had emotional days and I knew I could call her up and she would talk me through whatever it is that was bothering me. What an absolute CROOK. Borelli & Associates lied to me numerous times. They played bait and switch, took months to file a notice of claim that should have only taken weeks, were hardly reachable with piss poor customer service, and so petty that they actually sent me an invoice for $8.95 for postage fees after they charged me almost $6,000.00 for a notice of claim against the City of New York, applying a state law that the city is exempt from. If they were competant attorneys, they would have known that and told me from the start, instead of wasting my time and money while stringing me along. Do yourself a favor and hire a real attorney, not these shoe makers!

Wade took my case in 2012 to best honest I didn’t have the money to pay him . He made a payment plan which help .. He was there when I was to get my stamp in my passport for work purposes.., he was there for my 2 court dates he was there in the office for my citizenship interview…he wil call me from time to time to make sure to make I was ok ..
He change my address to his office which was great because I had moved hes an excellent lawyer I got my monies worth … and my case was a deportation case THANK YOU WADE

He still doesn’t have his paper he needs to lose his practicing license. Very rude to non-speaking clients. Never in his office. Change your personal address to his own office or home. Don’t give you receipt for your application. Personally I believe cause my friend is black. So I’m putting a petition on wade Johnson for abusing his position to gain whatever.

Tammy was our bankruptcy lawyer. No one wants to ever file for bankruptcy however life forced our hand. This started in 2017 when we hired Tammy . We paid our fee, took all the necessary counseling and went to court. All seemed to go well until 3 years later when we learned Tammy had never filed all the paperwork or paid the necessary fee. After contacting her on more than one occasion to have her sort this out it was still not done. We had to contact the court and the judge set up a hearing for us where he told Tammy when she would complete the paperwork filing and that SHE would pay the fees. When it was all settled my credit report now shows the bankruptcy was not filed until June of 2020. We had been working hard for years even prior to our initial filing to correct and rebuild our credit. I would not use her again and we are sorry we did the first time.

Unfortunately, after suffering an unforeseen financial circumstance which reduced my income by over $100K annually, I hired a bum to assist with my CS hearing, and received bum representation. I actually listened by the door of the hearing room while Jen, my exes attorney and the Hearing Examiner, Alethia Fields, (a glorified attorney), all laughed about how they wanted to have me incarcerated. I immediately fired Jen as my attorney, requested the hearing examiner recuse herself from the case or at least make an effort to bathe, because she always smelled like coconut lotion with a hint of catfish. Thereafter, I walked out of the hearing room with my ex and worked out a deal that benefitted our children. I did feel a bit bad when I saw Jen tearing up outside the courtroom, however, I feel she is a bit thin-skinned and overreacted. Ultimately, the facts are clear. In addition to paying spousal support, I have paid several hundred thousand dollars in child support.

Jill Stone is money hungry, has more regard for her ridiculous hair style than here clients. Extremely dismissive of women in need trying to leave an abuser. Only to run into her abusive arms. She says all the right things at first. Till your billable hours are almost triple of what they should be. Not only that, but after asking around Long Island and doing research on her cases I discovered she enables both of her sons (Josh and Troy) to get away with criminal actions such as, fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud, harassment, mental abuse and many other criminal acts.
What’s scarier is Troy Stone is not only involved in criminal activity, but is an attorney for her firm as well. They should both be disbarred and reviewed by Nassau county bar association.

Horrendous experience with Melvin and Melvin. They were referred to me by my Realtor for our house closing. Very unprofessional. Closing took 2 and a half months and was delayed so much that it ended up costing us thousands of dollars. I was going to keep my options on them to myself but after receiving the closing paperwork in the mail with “inaccurate” information, I’ve decided to give a review here and on all of my Social Media apps. Attorney, after she screwed up, wrote that I requested funds to be wired to me after the sale. This is absolutely incorrect and the Attorney must know this. It’s well documented via email that she screwed up and again cost me more money to fix her mistake. I’m sure this a CYA situation. Such a silly thing to be “inaccurate” about. This Firm certainly doesn’t need anymore bad reviews but here we are. Too bad the Attorney wasn’t “accurate” in her file. ** using accurate and inaccurate in quotes because I’m sure I’d hear from them if I used the term that actually fits!

I was falsely accused in a medical case. Ms. Latimer came highly recommended by a friend. After accepting thousands of dollars in fees and retainers, she dropped my case because unbeknownst to me she was negotiating a deal to join a firm involved in another aspect of the case. What a Benedict Arnold! How untrue to her stated values.

Just after college I met and married Rose. I hoped we would have a happily ever after and I truly tried my best to make that happen. I worked hard and made good money. We had four children, but my wife made me do everything. She never worked during the marriage, and that was fine with me because we didn’t need the money. However, I always hoped she would take more interest in the kids and our home, but it never happened. Year after year, I was the one who got up to make breakfast and the school lunches for the kids before I went to work. Over time, Rose and I grew apart and I realized that I was carrying everything on my back. I never felt like I had a partner. We tried counselling but nothing changed. Finally, after nearly 20 years, I decided to get a divorce. I asked friends about divorce lawyers and the Law Office of Ellen Holtzman came highly recommended. After the initial consult I asked Ellen to send the divorce papers to Rose.
I was always generous to Rose and the kids, but she was never satisfied. It was never enough, even when I willingly gave her above and beyond what the court ordered. Since the divorce became final seven years ago, she has taken me to court for extra support more than 20 times over issues that lack any validity. She seems to do it just to waste everybody’s time because the judges never find in her favor. I used to wonder why Ellen kept such a detailed paper trail about everything, all the correspondence back and forth. Honestly, I didn’t think a lot of it was necessary. But later, dragged into court year after year by my ex, I saw the point. When the judge had a question, Ellen always had the answer, and she always had the documents to prove everything. Proof that all the checks and the letters had been received, proof that the checks were deposited, and receipts showing that the money being sought for needed items had already been paid.
Now happily remarried to a woman who is a true partner, I want to say that you can rely on Ellen and her team. They have been there for me every time I needed them. With Ellen, I had the best and she changed my life. Also want to say, Meryl was very kind and helpful to me. The office functioned as a really good team and I feel so lucky to have had them all on my side.

When you are contemplating or facing a divorce, the myriad of emotions and the depth of those feelings can overwhelm you and hijack your normally logical thought process. I first retained Penny back in 2001 when I separated from my husband of 20 years. Penny prepared our separation agreement which eventually was to become our divorce agreement. Fast forward 15 years and my ex-husband filed against me to be relieved of his maintenance payments. Penny had prepared an iron-clad agreement which held up. She was there every step of the way as my advocate, always responding quickly and professionally to all my questions and calls. We won a three-tier motion which gave me the leverage to negotiate a very positive result for me. I would recommend her whole-heartedly and sincerely appreciate all her hard work and persistence. I retained Ms. Baritot to handle my divorce. Many of my questions either went unanswered or were answered in such a way as to be confusing. Had this been my second or third divorce, I most likely would have had more of a grasp of the situation and I usually got the impression that she had more important clients and could not spend time explaining matters to me. Divorce is a demoralizing, stressful, life changing event. Patience and an empathetic nature are important and necessary virtues that divorce attorneys need to possess. Perhaps Divorce Law is not or should not be Ms. Baritot's area of expertise.

The sheriff came to serve us at 9PM for family court. It was a restless night for all of us. I started googling at 6AM the next day, as you can imagine, all the lawyer’s officers are closed even the ones that states they are open 24/7. Most of the lawyer offices in my area open at 9AM, I noted that the Law Office of Nick M. Frisco open at 8AM. I held back until 8:02AM, it rings and rings and bang, Fatima, the paralegal answer. I explained we needed advice and counsel to navigate thru the court’s virtual world with this return of process emergency summons. Within, 20 minutes, Fatima put us in contact with Nick Frisco. We explained the situations and the expected outcome we were asking to get. He told us to provide a summary, get school records, medical records, letters from the teacher, etc. and accepted our case. Nick explained that we need to leave our emotion out, only speak when spoke to and maintenance a positive attitude. The hearing was the next day. During the hearing, Nick discussed the facts and merits of the case and the best interest of the children. The children mother kept changing her story about our arrangements. The judge reminded the children mothers about lying under oath.
Sorry for the long write-up but I wanted to explain our situations, the quick turn around and the sense of urgency.
I would strongly recommend the Law Office of Nick M Frisco for family court. In order has been issues so the children mothers will need to follow the courts order. Nick and Fatima are a great team and may a big difference on the outcome of our court.

In the beginning of my custody case Mr. Frisco was asking me questions (and making statements) that made me wonder who's side he was on. For many months during the case, his communication in email and verbal was usually combative and condescending, and every time I spoke with him he tried to convince me to settle for what my petitioner was offering, and had no regard for how little time that would allow me to spend with my child. On the last day of the case, minutes before trial started, he argued with me and yelled at me in front of people in the waiting area- pulled a guilt trip on me for not agreeing to what was being offered, which I gave in to, and turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes of my life. Do NOT hire Nick Frisco, and if he is appointed by the Court, I strongly recommend that you request a different attorney.

If you have any kind of trial you'd be better off throwing your money away. Very little prep work, very meek in litigation, and puts up little to no fight. According to multiple other attorneys he failed to inform me of a very common law practice and actually suggested the bribe the other attorneys offered for me to drop the case.... this man took money and refused to even return a phone call after he lost the most important moment of my life!

Chris is the man! I got pulled over for doing 15 over the speed limit just entering Chemung County on my way to Horseheads while passing another driver on I86 and the officer cited me for 10. It was Good Friday that day and this wasn’t the best Friday for me to get pulled over lol. I am a PA (out of state) driver so even though the points wouldn’t affect my PA driving record, my auto insurance would have spike if I would have plead guilty to the ticket. Plus I will be moving to New York State shortly so I had to take care of this somehow. I talked with Chris Tunney who assured me that he would able to talk the ADA into reducing the points. And he did just that. In New York state, 10 over the speed limit is 3 points. Chris got my speeding ticket reduced from 3 points to 0 points and a non moving violation. He came through for me like he said he would. If you ever get pulled over, Chris is the man to talk to.

Hired Mr. Arnoff because he assured me during my free consultation meeting that he could prepare a compulsory accounting for my probate case in Riverhead Surrogate’s Court- after six months of trying and having the court reject his prepared accounting and then having to tutor his assistant on how to prepare it, he ended up hiring an accounting firm at an additional expense to my estate to finally prepare it correctly to suit the court’s protocol. In my opinion, overall I was not satisfied with this law firm and would not recommend them. I had to keep an eagle eye on their invoices to me as well after they charged me for my free consultation- they made many errors on my monthly invoices, which they adjusted once I pointed them out.

Harvey did a fantastic job for me and my children. I walked into court confident with the knowledge that he was the more experienced and professional attorney. He always made sure I had copies of everything he had done and that I was well prepared for each day in court. On the down side, it sometimes took the better part of a day for a return phone call, but he was none-the-less always responsive. His office staff was highly professional and very caring. I hired Charles for my divorce and although my divorce was finalized pretty quickly, I am very unhappy with how things went. He confused me on two separate occasions with a different client, with one time having an entire conversation about 'going to court' before realizing he had the wrong person. My documents written were too vague and had to hire an additional lawyer to write an addendum upon hearing that my divorce was finalized. I was very dissatisfied with how things went and am very disappointed with how much money I spent on mediocre service.

When I called to ask for clarification about my case, Biscone grew frustrated with my questions. He inadvertantly did not put me on hold while checking my file, so I could hear him saying in the background, "..teachers...they're all stupid." He was abrasive, but not when needed in court. He charges outrageous fees for very standard results.
